Enter the METAROOM.
Transcending all genre stereotypes, METAROOM is a California-based producer with a penchant for anything and everything surrounding fast-paced and complicated electronic music. Each of their tracks explores an unfamiliar landscape with references to breakcore, footwork, and jungle music, as well as inspiration from notable experimental artists like Iglooghost and Hakushi Hasegawa.
METAROOM's Featured Artist listing is a cool place to be with 15 songs up for grabs. While you're there, you could even say you're in the METAROOM room. But you really shouldn't.
Behind the scenes, Lugu from the Mappers' Guild has been hard at work creating a showcase beatmap for today's artist announcement. See how it turned out alongside osu!lazer's new built-in Performance Points counter, then check out the other previews below:
Check out this showcase set hosted by Lugu from the video above!
Or try out the osu!taiko beatmap that introduced METAROOM to the game!
If you're brave enough, try this beatmap created by you! (Warning: some editor assembly required.)
Congratulations! You're the 1,000,000th person to read one of osu!'s Featured Artist announcements! Head on over to METAROOM's Featured Artist listing to claim your prize: 15 pre-timed beatmap templates of awesome music!
Imagine a genre of music that's the polar opposite of METAROOM's sound. That'll be our next Featured Artist, so keep track of the @osugame Twitter for all our relevant and not-so-relevant updates.
See you then!
