i did want a sense of metamorphosis, but im conflicted-- as much as self-expression is nice, i also would rather be at least a little inconspicuous when i can. i dont exactly like being visible to anyone and everyone in this way, which may just be more a matter of not wanting to be vulnerably attached to how my appearance represents me to others and therefore affects/informs a given person's interactions with me under a potential bias according to what they might infer from how i express myself
...but oh how i wish i could depict the blurry plurality of different little compartments which all compose a mosaic of who i am-- to be soft would be a dream, to have heart would be sweet, but im not quite those things in the ways id want to be and i am more often than not a mixture of all that i do and dont express of myself...

I used to be a bit more private myself and still am with some things, but at least with my closest friends its been euphoric to open up to them about various things about myself. I feel like they know practically everything about me at this point, which was initially scary to think about, but now that it's out there I feel more at ease talking to them. Obviously it's different with randos on the internet, but I'm definitely not as averse to sharing things anymore.
I've come to realize if I open up to someone about something it not only reveals something to them about me, but it also reveals to me something about them. Their response shows me more about them as a person as well, you know? Shows me their true colors. Helps me understand them better which could potentially lead to better trust and friendship... or makes me realize maybe I shouldn't hang out with this person. Damn that sounds corny as fuck.

Long story short I wouldn't worry about how others perceive you something something fuck them if they dislike you for who you are something something. Not saying to be less private than you are or anything since everyone's different, but if it's strictly out of fear of negative judgement or being treated differently I'd say doing so helps to reveal those who you are and aren't compatible with. If they turn out to be dickheads then I simply won't humor them.

But yeah, I personally thought the age thread was fine, like it was anonymous and you didn't even needed to submit an answer if you didn't want to, only thing that thread revealed is that there are indeed children in OT, something that we alraedy knew. I do personally believe current moderation is trying a bit too hard to hide certain information that is not even an open secret, but like straight up well known and extremely easy to learn once you start interacting with the forum

It came out recently yea, december of last year. But season 2 ended pretty abruptly on a cliffhanger unlike season 1 which ended on what felt like more of a closed case.
To me it felt kinda like how anime often splits their seasons into "season x part 1, season x part 2" with part 2 coming out not long after part 1.
