New Featured Artist: The Flashbulb

by Ephemeral

Illuminate your life with osu!'s latest addition to the Featured Artist lineup - The Flashbulb!

Prominent among the VSRG scene with tracks like Passage D and the Lawn Wake series, The Flashbulb has been a point of interest in the osu! community for many years, especially the osu!mania and osu!taiko side of things.

Sporting one of the earliest beatmaps to enter the revised Loved category and a regular presence in the osu!taiko and osu!mania World Cup mappools, it should be hardly surprising that an artist so widely acclaimed for his work has finally entered the lineup of Featured Artists.

We're proud to present a selection of 30 tracks from over 11 albums from The Flashbulb's incredibly varied sound, focusing mainly on his older works of the breakcore variety. Many of these are already timeless classics in the rhythm gaming scene, and we're excited to see what people can do with the rest!

That being said, we have also acquired a small selection of his later works, which focus on more cinematic and pensive sounds, made popular by Mismagius' sets for Hymn To The Unobtainable and Dead On The 4th Of July respectively.

Check out a preview of a few tracks below - there's much, MUCH more over at his Featured Artist listing:

Passage D

/

The Bridgeport Run

/

Chik Habit

/

Binedump

/

Lawn Wake IX

/

Acid Strings

/

All of the above track plus a whole bunch more are available now over at The Flashbulb's Featured Artist listing - make sure to check them all out, they're super varied!

As with all Featured Artist tracks, these new pieces are all 100% free for use in mapping and modding, so worry less and map more!

We're right on track to continue bringing you more artists both familiar and fresh in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

In addition, the newly-expanded Mappers' Guild has been hard at work breathing new life into some older tracks from the Featured Artist library, so why not take a look?

Wow, this sounds unreal, I though it was a joke.

wait why are so many tracks missing? like, guy's been making music from 1999 yet there's 30 tracks in the listing :psy:
do we include featured artists tags on mapsets for songs not listed? 😂

Very nice experimental artist

If only featured artists would come to osu!event to perform there, that would be super amazing

Yuzeyun Hypello

You would have to pay them for their gigs though. Doubt cavoeboy would want to pay thousands more for this...

Hypello Yuzeyun

Yea but it could attract a lot more people though, meaning more tickets sold

Hpocks Hypello

How would you perform this kind of music?

Hypello Hpocks

Alot of electronic music producers perform at concerts/events, I'm not a music producer nor performer, but I do know that The Pineapple Thief has performed on concerts/events before :D Would be super lit imo xD
EDIT: If someone would play the appropriate beatmap while a featured artist would be performing it would be even better :D

Dedot Hpocks

umm... you click the circle?

pogress
