Notes
  1. Got your setup from: community/forums/topics/2002300
  2. When unspecified, I assumed that you have a PC (not a laptop)
  3. When unspecified, I assumed your OS is Windows (seems like to have no effect tho)
  4. You need to have posted your exact CPU and GPU model, and amount of RAM to appear on this list
  5. The leaderboard below is sorted by alphabetical order when there's a tie, I can't show 2 players with the same rank as I use the forum's numbered list feature, but consider yourself being the same rank than the highest with the same score than you

Even with all standby memory from Windows preloading stuff I barely ever use my 32GB, 64 is useless tbh unless you have some very specific uses like video editing or whatever (even then I don't think anyone actually needs more than 32).

I rarely go above 55% of RAM on Linux with KDE Plasma... and only have 16 GB. Imo 64 GB isn't really useful unless you have a very specific usecase that would require that much...

I only bought more ram because at the time I was playing tarkov, and that shit used ALL of my 16GB of ram. crashing my pc constantly.

went and bought some corsair ddr5 6400mhz? or was it less? dont remember.

yeah it never crashed again, in total it used 18GB of ram? yeah that seems about right

Mine is an HP Laptop 17-cn0023dx with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 11th Gen, with Intel Graphics Xe, and 32 GB of RAM (it originally had 16), and before you ask, I use Arch btw (so you don't classify me as Windows user)

Edit: Ah poo



Old Laptop: (this one's garbage) (btw it also runs Linux (no specific distro because its hard drive will commit failure)

Unrelated but apparently Blender recommends 32 GB, guess that's why it was so laggy while rendering (as well as my CPU)

2070 super is a BEAST of a gpu but the cpu could be a little better

yea, marco only got 5% better than I did with a cpu 5 gens newer, though the new intel chips haven't been very good from what ive heard.

not a problem for me, I dont do many things that are at all gpu heavy anyway - which is why I never bought a new one. the jet engine my gpu turns into during the occasional handbrake render is funny though.

oh no, I cant play the new slop AAA titles in 32k ultraultramegawidescreen doubletime planetraced whatever will I do...

i've been hit with an unfixable srttrail.txt error (my main SSD is locked in a perpetual read-only state which no CMD commands nor anything i've tried allow me to remove) so my old storage drive is die



fortunately i've managed to save all my files using a really weird and probably-very-convoluted method. replaced it with a crucial P3 Plus SSD 1TB PCIe (so far so good)

i've also replaced my keyboard because some keys were starting to not press/not get detected. got the Logitech G413 SE since i've heard very good things about it (and i'm really enjoying it so far)
