General
- Turn off Widescreen Storyboard on Easy.
- Your combo colours are slightly inconsistent (Colour 2 in Hard and Colour 3 in Magical):
Easy
- 00:42:391 (5,2) - Slightly messy here with the overlap. Make the gaps between 1-2-5 even if you can.
- 03:37:248 (1) - I wouldn't recommend using such a compact slider shape for an Easy since it can confuse newer players.
- 01:39:819 (3) - 01:02:105 (3) - Minor: The blankets could be very slightly improved if you care about that.
Normal
- 00:41:533 (4,5,6) - You could use some red tick rhythms here to highlight the tom drums that get introduced here. The rhythm density doesn't need to be lower at this point yet.
- 00:55:891 - 02:21:605 - Personally I wouldn't miss this vocal beat over the slider.
- 04:15:819 (1,2) - Maybe slightly change the angle of slider 1 so that the visual flow is a little better, since it's currently not pointing straight into circle 2.
Hard
- 00:54:712 - 02:20:426 - The current rhythm doesn't really emphasise this blue tick beat well enough in my opinion, since it's a passive beat surrounded by active ones. I would aim to make this active if possible. i wouldnt find a good way to make this kind of "active". i personally think it is okay to emphasize the drums before with circles and just cover the blue tick with a sliderend... so yeah idk- 01:30:605 - There is a triplet (1/6) melody starting on this beat, so it seems inappropriate to place a triple before this.Looks like it might be intentional? But I guess it just feels weird to me having the fast rhythm before it gets fast in the main melody. well this is basically just "rhythm filtering" for the sake of the easier difficulty. I try to avoid 1/6 rhythms in Hard in general (some spots arent avoidable tho) as I think its too confusing and overwhelming for hard players. and theres no other way to map it except covering it by a slider, soo...
- 01:37:462 - 03:25:462 - 04:06:605 - 04:08:319 - 04:10:033 - 04:13:462 - 04:15:176 - Triplet sounds here too.
- 03:34:141 - There's a blue tick beat here that's missed over the slider.
- 03:49:248 (3,4) - Not sure if it's intentional, but if you slow this part down, you'll hear that this rhythm doesn't follow the vocal rhythm accurately.
Magical Book of Illustrations
- 00:08:319 (3) - 00:10:033 (3) etc - Would making these a 1/6 reverse not work? technically it would but let me explain why I dont want to map all the 1/6's here: 1) the emphasis in this and the last section (which are both similar) is on the drums since the drums before the 1/6's are consistent (regarding to the section at 01:27:819 - where the drums are inconsistent and in addition to that the 1/6 feel stronger and louder but that might just be me, still pretty sure it is higher intensity for them there). 2) mapping the drums and the 1/6 (you only can map the 1/6 with reverse slider here since i want to keep the drums as circles and not sliders) would be too much imo. i think it is appropriate to focus on one element of the song instead of having much elements which none of them stand out (so the player actually knows what hes playing to). 3) aesthetic-wise or on the visual point of view i would have to space the reverse slider for the 1/6 and the next object (which would be 00:08:533 (4) - this) with a very small distance because it is only 1/6 gap on the timeline, so visually the pattern would look really unorganized and "cramped". in other words i think id be not able to make a neat concept that fits with the rest of the map. 4) and lastly i mentioned earlier that 01:27:819 - this section has a similar 1/6 sound that is more intense (it is louder and feels stronger) so i think a clear transition between the beginning/end and the middle part would be appropriate in terms of having good structure and a nice concept. I hope my reasonings were clear to you ><
- 00:55:891 (2) - I feel like a Ctrl+G would work so the angle would add more emphasis on the slider body, which seems appropriate for this sound. Might want to consider Ctrl+G on slider 3 too if you do this.
- 03:03:176 (3) - I would consider making this two circles to emphasise the drums better with active beats.
- 03:25:462 (6) - I expected more 1/6 streams for this solo section personally. They would follow the rhythm better too. the problem i see is that the 1/6 stream would come pretty mu8ch out of nowhere because the player hasnt played any consistent 1/6 rhythms recently. despite it fits the music well i think that the player would rather be overwhelmed with a sudden 1/6 rhythm he has to click accurately. i will keep this in mind if someone says the same because you are first one who suggested this
- 03:37:248 (1,1) - I don't feel that this large spacing is appropraite for when the music gets quieter.
- 03:51:176 (2,3,4) - I'd space these a little closer so that it reads as 1/6 better, since it's still a quiet part of the song.
Good luck.
