The !faq *language* should stay as is, since it tells people of new channels. I think the Scandinavian languages should stay too, since there are younger players who might not understand all the advanced English terminology - if we remove those, then why not remove the ingame localizations too?theowest wrote:
#skandinavian has multiple language specific faqs. What do I do about that?
edit: Removed them. Everyone understands English in skandiland.
edit edit:
I guess we can just remove the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish columns completely from the spreadsheet.
We hardly ever have to use faqs in our channel. Most Scandinavians prefer their language in-game so it would be silly to remove that too. The reason we're removing these sw/no/da- faqs is because they shouldn't exist any more.MillhioreF wrote:

It's up to you I suppose. Here are the questions you should ask to yourself:Winshley wrote:
Someone suggested to do a full description toward DoubleTime mod tooltip (and he did). I wonder if it's appropriate or not, because he prefer to have a meaningful description instead of "Zoooooooooom". From what I see, Thai, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian, and Greece language provides detailed description, mentioning clearly about the 50% increased playback speed. This also applies to Nightcore and HalfTime mods as well.
If that's the case, I'll leave it as is, because someone wrote that and made a discussion on the document mentioning about it.XPJ38 wrote:

1st screenshot: you should write on multiple lines by using Alt+Enter in Google Docs.theowest wrote:
I've also noticed there are many translations that won't fit where they should be:
that's correct.MillhioreF wrote:
I think the second screenshot happens in English too and is caused by having way too many highlights
All text areas should be either somewhat larger or auto-sized to allow for longer translation / larger fonts / whateverXPJ38 wrote:
Also, see this thread to be informed about Update_Added and Update_Fixed being too narrow. So for the time being, until boxes are wider or autoresizable, you'll probably have to abbreviate or shorten your translations for these two lines.
That is correct. It can be safely removed.Winshley wrote:
SongSelection_Loading is also no longer used and replaced by the loading circle, right?
If you set "MyPcSucks: 1" on your CFG file, the checkbox will become available again. Disabling this, exit Options menu, and then return to Options menu, and you'll see the checkbox gone by the wind._Gezo_ wrote:
Also, shouldn't the "Low End PC" entry disappear ? There's no use anymore (Used to be in Options but now, it's gone)

How about "dendens (spinners)"? Putting both words could help.XPJ38 wrote:
I have been told by _Gezo_ in a GDrive comment that the taiko spinner is actually called a denden (it's even written in the wiki but I didn't notice, duh). Entry #244 (see below) still uses the term "spinner". Do you think it would be relevant to replace the word spinner by denden, or should we leave it as it is for the sake of clarity (not sure if people actually know what a denden refers to)?"Relax! You will no longer get dizzyfied by ninja-like spinners, demanding drumrolls or unexpected katu's.

It's used by osu! to determine where the menu tips end, so they can be indefinitely expanded. I added it to the spreadsheet as I have increased automation in the import process, so internal variables are also read from the spreadsheet.DJ Angel wrote:
why this exists if cannot be translated?
also, saw the tsundere translation for the FAQ, and lol'd like hell
I actually thought these kind of objects could be externally added, since they are the same for every language and its the first one I see since the beginning of this project, I think.peppy wrote:

Thanks for pointing that out, I have changed them a bit._Gezo_ wrote:

but duplicates in this case don't do any harm. If you quickly want to faq people, you don't want to risk getting the wrong faq.MillhioreF wrote:
name-change and change-name have been merged into change-name. guide and tutorial serve slightly different purposes, and can probably be merged too, but I'm not sure of the best way to do that yet.
yeah, that's actually the faq I duplicated there :p.TicClick wrote:
well we can add as many duplicates as we want, but they should be written in the same manner as color and colour are done.
And also SongSelection_RemovedFromFavouritesA, SongSelection_RemovedFromFavouritesB, SongSelection_RemoveFromFavouritesA, SongSelection_RemoveFromFavouritesB?MillhioreF wrote:
We can get rid of these altogether now, right? Collections make them obsolete and unused.

These guys help moderate the forum and chat.
I do! I'm keeping local backups just in case (I even have one of November 2012kingking9 wrote:
