Have you ever heard of alots, Winshley ?

Also, shouldn't the "Low End PC" entry disappear ? There's no use anymore (Used to be in Options but now, it's gone)

Edit : Fixed one thing XPJ might have missed in the french faq section (Old link format, TBT entry.)

If you set "MyPcSucks: 1" on your CFG file, the checkbox will become available again. Disabling this, exit Options menu, and then return to Options menu, and you'll see the checkbox gone by the wind.
Yuzeyun
That's something weird, but if it's supposed to stay, it'll stay.

I have been told by _Gezo_ in a GDrive comment that the taiko spinner is actually called a denden (it's even written in the wiki but I didn't notice, duh). Entry #244 (see below) still uses the term "spinner". Do you think it would be relevant to replace the word spinner by denden, or should we leave it as it is for the sake of clarity (not sure if people actually know what a denden refers to)?

"Relax! You will no longer get dizzyfied by ninja-like spinners, demanding drumrolls or unexpected katu's.

How about "dendens (spinners)"? Putting both words could help.
TicClick
better leave them as spinners, takes much less effort to perceive
XPJ38
Yeah, you're probably right.

I'm willing to work on Hebrew Translation, but I would like to know if osu system supports right to left languages, else it will look like gibberish.

why this exists if cannot be translated?

also, saw the tsundere translation for the FAQ, and lol'd like hell

Probably should post this here.
Added !faq get-maps (basically a more concise combination of !faq download and !faq import to teach newbies how to get more beatmaps)

It's used by osu! to determine where the menu tips end, so they can be indefinitely expanded. I added it to the spreadsheet as I have increased automation in the import process, so internal variables are also read from the spreadsheet.

I actually thought these kind of objects could be externally added, since they are the same for every language and its the first one I see since the beginning of this project, I think.

We can get rid of these altogether now, right? Collections make them obsolete and unused.

XPJ>Check out greentext and newrank, these might need two or three things. Look at approved too for an info I just thrown here.

About approved, was it mentioned already in the thread that it needs to be changed a little bit ? I mean, since approval is only for Marathon maps... :V

Thanks for pointing that out, I have changed them a bit.

I have also translated the few remaining non-translated French strings in the !faq spreadsheet.

i'm currently doing some changes on the osu! localisation docs. too many typos and grammar errors on filipino language xD

ok done

Any opinions on merging name-change and change-name FAQ entries? I believe one of them should be removed. I also suggest doing the same for guide and tutorial (just add link to tutorials thread to the list of guides instead).
MillhioreF
name-change and change-name have been merged into change-name. guide and tutorial serve slightly different purposes, and can probably be merged too, but I'm not sure of the best way to do that yet.
XPJ38
Changed Options_Graphics_Snaking_Tooltip from "This should run fine unless you have an ancient machine" to "This should run fine unless you have a low-end PC" in response to this thread.

but duplicates in this case don't do any harm. If you quickly want to faq people, you don't want to risk getting the wrong faq.
TicClick
well we can add as many duplicates as we want, but they should be written in the same manner as color and colour are done.

TicClick wrote:

yeah, that's actually the faq I duplicated there :p.

If guide and tutorial are identical, then they should both be kept imo.
actually, I prefer name-change over change-name. I believe moderators use it more often too. o:
Winshley
Just now, someone typed highlight and showing "Entry not found". He had to use hl to display the actual FAQ instead. =S
theowest
Yeah, we definitely need more duplicates.

or spend more time messaging banchobot to see what faq to use.

dkun renamed how-to-admin to how-to-gmt and I added faq gmt:
The [https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Global_Moderation_Team Global Moderation Team], in short[https://osu.ppy.sh/g/4 GMT], a group of users that help run osu!. They have red names in chat and green names on the forums.
These guys help moderate the forum and chat.
I'm sure it can be improved a bit.

edit:
added czechoslovak and ReVeNg3r translated it and other czechoslovak faqs.
ReVeNg3r
I removed Slovak column and renamed Czech to Czechoslovak for our channel.I will add some FAQs in slovak and czech language.
kingking9
+Addded 'completion'
*Pushed to Bancho at 11:00:00PM, UTC+8

Note that this feature is also in beta, and might explode. Do not attempt to edit this line, as it juggles a a few different formulas. What it attempts to do is enable people to check the status of the localisations while still in osu!
kingking9
+Re-added tsundere FAQ

Will we be able to translate the Nicer Bancho and Tsundere Bancho?
XPJ38
I remember there was a Spanish tsundere Bancho. I wonder what happened to it.

I proofread the entire French translation btw
kingking9
Because all of the tsundere FAQs were deleted, we had to dive into the backups to get the english one back - i'm not entirely sure if anyone has a backup of the other languages of it though.

On another note, just remember Nicer Bancho was a side project of mine, so i'll slowly work on it when I have time ;)

I do! I'm keeping local backups just in case (I even have one of November 2012 :D )

If anyone wants to reimport the Spanish tsundere banchobot, help yourself: http://puu.sh/3822x.xlsx (backup of May 11, 2013)

Options_TabSkin_ScoreMeter Show score meter:
Be sure to read my comment in Google Doc to understand what the score meter is.
Winshley
I have re-run through the localization doc again.

"Options_Input_ConfirmExit" and "Options_Input_ConfirmExit_Tooltip" is no longer used, but is still modifiable manually by editing the cfg file. I wonder if this may need to be removed or not.

For "Options_Input_DisableButtons_Tooltip", it says "Specifically for people who use Z/X/Ctrl/Space to click". When is the Ctrl key used? O.o

When will the "SongSelection_AddToFavouritesA", "SongSelection_AddToFavouritesB", "SongSelection_AddedToFavouritesA", "SongSelection_AddedToFavouritesB", "SongSelection_RemoveFromFavouritesA", "SongSelection_RemoveFromFavouritesB", "SongSelection_RemovedFromFavouritesA", and "SongSelection_RemovedFromFavouritesB" removed? I'm still not sure whether the Collection thing is not an issue anymore because I think so.

"SongSelection_GoOnline" is no longer used anymore, right?

peppy has shortened English version of SongSelection_ScoreList to avoid overlapping of text. cf. t/125148

not that much, editor is full of slangs, so probably most of it will be in english, it would be retard to translate some words like "slider" or "hitcircle", and it would be confusing for new mappers to mod other people maps or to receive other people mods, since they would use their own slang. Also, probably the text would get disproportionate (bugged) since most of the text its character-limited

btw, the docs now are protected with some kind of login authorization, what kind of login is this? I'm lost. It's not osu! acc, at least.

In the Spanish one we are translating everything except 'beatmap'. I think it can be done without damaging the 'experience'. The problem is being able to find the right words... but who said translating was easy?

No way, please keep them, everyone knows a slider as a slider, even in spanish, same happens with a lot other words, use your common sense to change them please ^^
Leeg
Why? It's been like that for 1 year or more, since the first localisation project, and nobody complained about it... and it is obvious that Spanish speaking people have still been modding and ranking maps without any problem.
XPJ38
The position of the universal offset value in the wizard is fixed... Not cool.

Yes, that should work.

(However, I must say that we did something similar in the "Execute offset wizard" button and still nowadays there are people who change it without no apparent reason).

Finally got Indonesian at 100% (had been doing this together with Winshley, Rei Hakurei, and probably a few others~)

Norwegian is now at 100% because I have nothing better to do.

I'm a bit iffy at some of the strings, but all of them should be decently understandable at this point. Anyone capable of writing a decent translation should probably take a look, or at least tell me if there's anything stupid left.
