Wrong timings and plain mapping errors are marked as RED


[General]
- Metronome is 1/1 late. Use offset 55 to fix that. Timing and note placement will not change.
- Many (green) timing points are not snapped. This is not a big problem unless it's KIAI or wrong hitsound changes though.

[Normal]
Generally you should only map what you can hear. Especially in Easy/Normal placing random beats will confuse beginners. I suggest mapping the vocals in the earlier parts of the song (most dominant and therefore best choice in this diff).

00:00:527 (1) - maybe start this earlier @00:00:055 and extend to 00:03:598 to end it just where it ended before to match the song
00:05:247 (2,3,4) - wrong timing. Move all 3 back 1/2 ((2) to red tick): http://puu.sh/3mtR Adjust spacing afterwards.

[General]
  1. Why do all the difficulties have different combo colours? you should consider using the same colours in every difficulty, it gives the mapset consistency.
[Normal]
  1. HP Drain Rate: 2 should work fine, I think.
  2. 00:34:070 (1,2,3) - Mmmm... I don't think this is too easy to read for a new player, since they are 3/4s apart... I would suggest a slider with a repetition, it will be easier to play:
    The main objective for this is that an unexperienced player understands how the following patterns will be, so that he/she doesn't confuse while trying to hit the object (circle, slider) on the correct time.
  3. 00:36:314 (1,2) - And here, also, I think that you can make the distance snapping a little lower. Like, those nazi things people tend to say: "Move (1) one grid right, and (2) one grid down".
    But I mean it, do it - it makes the pattern more noob-friendly. :D
  4. 00:49:661 (1) - Why is this so far from the end of (3)? I mean, why is there such a big jump? Try using the correct distance snapping from the yellow (3). You might have to move the following (2).
    Oh and also, add a clap, it sounds good :D
  5. Just a side note here: Try to keep the distance snapping correct. This is a basic advice you should always take into consideration, EVEN MORE if you're mapping and easier (Easy, Normal) difficulty.
    Check your difficulties back in search of these issues, and fix them by yourself, so that you get practice at it :D
  6. 01:09:740 (4) - This isn't properly stacked under (3). Howeever, I think it would be better if you don't stack it under (3), Believe me, it's quiet confusing for new players.
  7. 02:09:267 (1) - I don't know, this sudden stop in the one-beat-apart circles kinda breaks the flow. Maybe you could try a slider that starts at 02:08:558 (5) and ends here. Like this:
    It will play much, much better. Of course, you can make that slider in any shape you want :D
  8. 02:14:228 (1) - Ok, I know that since you changed the velocity, the spacing is reduced, but this is really confusing. Please place this as if you hadn't changed the slider velocity:
    I mean, I would say that this is almost an order xD
  9. 02:31:236 (1) - You should delete this and end the previous slider here. I haven't said anything about objects too close from the previous spinners, but I have to mention this one. It doesn't quiet fit here as it is now, and it's way too soon after the spinner.

  1. 00:35:724 (1) - Well, actually I saw some things before this that were a little hard to predict, but I'm flexible today :) But this here, I'd recommed you to use the normal spacing, and not this shrinked spacing (aka small spacing). I don't think it fits.
  2. 00:52:732 (3) - DON'T fully stack a slider. This isn't very playable. I wouldn't say it's unrankable, but it looks horrible. Seriously. Place it in some other way.
  3. 00:53:913 (3) - This clap sounds weeeird, it should go on 00:53:440 (1) instead of here.
  4. 00:54:385 (5,6) - Please place this in some other way, because: 1. (5) isn't at the right distance from (4) (and I know you're using jumps, but this one just doesn't look good), 2. Stacking (5) and (6) here doesn't look good and 3. It doesn't flow well, in my opinion. Try something more open, like this:

  5. 02:07:850 (4,5) - Can you please move these to the left so that they aren't almost fully overlapped by (2) and (3)? It doesn't look so good :/
  6. 02:32:417 (5,6) - Stacking this just doesn't work here, since (7) is too close from (6). Try this:

  7. 02:33:125 (7) - Add a new combo, and then remove the new combo from 02:33:834 (1).
  8. 02:37:259 (6,7) - These two should be placed further from where they are now. Maybe you can place them above those two sliders, so that the overlap doesn't look like shit. Or I don't know.
  9. 02:58:637 (3,4) - If you want to make a good-looking star pattern, then move these two (3 and 4) 3 grids up.

  1. 00:48:007 (2) - WTFwhy the heck did you use this jump?? It doesn't fit with the music at all °-° PLEASE place this using normal DS o.o
  2. 00:51:314 (1) - Seriously, I see no reason for using such a big jump. Please re place this in some other way without the jump.
  3. 01:10:921 (5) - I think this would work better not stacked, and you should have the new combo here, and not it the next circle. Also, you can use a jump here if you want to, but don't overdo it -.-

First of all, dont kudosu IRC mods unless you provide proof of what was changed, also split mod posts dont need to be kudosu'd twice.

Dont use Pure White combo colour, it's blinding during kiai.
Why is "Flandre" in the tags? and if that's the name of the guest mapper then why is "Lolicore" in the tags? aditionally, you forgot to add the tags to all diffs, specially to Normal.
Kiai is unsnapped on all difficulties, also the green timing sections are unsnapepd on [Insane] and [Normal]

[Insane]
01:13:992 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This pattern would look nicer if it was centered.
02:56:512 (1,2,3,4,5) - This star shape looks really flattened, can you make it better?

Hehe nice map! I got a proposition for you.

All of this map seems a lot inspired by osuplayer111's one... so to make it different a little, I've edited the MP3 so the end of is the actual ending of the full length song... and I also made it 192kbps for maximum quality.

If you decide to take this mp3 instead, make sure all difficulties are offseted to 95 and to resnap all inherit sections by +40.

If you need help with all of this, just PM me :).


ONLY give a Kudosu if I've been helfpul with my new MP3 and offset. If not, just discard :)

Umm rechecked the timing with my friend Charles and it sounds a lot better at 85.

So , offset 85 , and move all inherit sections by -10. If there's any problems, PM me again XD.

Set tick 2 on all difficulties
Kiai section seems kinda randomly placed: the ending is arguably just as intense as where you put the kiai. IMO this song doesn't really fit using kiai at all, but please at least make sure it is in all of the most intense sections of the song if you use it all.
You need an easy, as Normal uses a lot of confusing offbeat patterns.

Insane
Pretty much every speed change in the map was a terrible idea. Setting tick rate 2 makes it at least rankable as you can see the ticks, but I'd like you to either remove or ensure the intuitivity of each speed change before I'd even think about bubbling. Avoid using speed changes outside the range of 0.75x to 1.5x, and ensure each one reflects a change in music intensity. Also make sure that spacing is roughly equal to slider speed (around 1.0x DS)

00:21:109 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - this matches up with nothing in the music
01:49:219 (4,5,6,7,8) - ^
01:10:715 (4,5,6,7,8) - change in spacing is completely random and does not reflect a change in the music
I won't go through the map and point out all of these, since there are far too many, but I'll say this: There are plenty of places in the song where 1/4 makes a degree of sense, but you haven't utilised them and seem to just be placing it randomly. The same applies to jumps.
Please keep in mind that there is a song that you're basing your mapping on and you should be listening to it.

Make L6.png, L9.png and L12.png like L3.png and L15.png ( i'm saying to make them red )
Use some sfx on the -pulses jpg's to make them like http://puu.sh/4VYZ, i simply used a "Vibrance" Adjustment level in this case.
Split L16.png, L28.png, L32.png, L34.png in parts like you done some tuimes in the last part of your SBs for example: " I can fix all those lies" to " I ", "can fix", "all those", "lies".
Make some of the Lyrics at the last part red so they have the same effect as the start.

I was refering about scalone's diff, compresed streams + noncompresed feels random to me, but is just that "a feeling" also I think than RandomJibberish made things more clear? also time don't matter when you are mapping, probably my way of say things wasn't totally right, I apologise for that, but was my impression back then and probably I'm not going to be the last.

-Reduced SB load.
-Retimed some effects (not all of them).
Original SBder need do a check for this to be sure I didn't mess with something for accident.
Probably that is enough to be ranked but can be more reduced =P, but that is up to your SBder.

Less Haevy SB... was REALLY easy to find a solution.
I removed transparency from lightleft.png and lightright.png and changed their docking point from Center to TopLeft and TopRight respectively.

So, I heard I was supposed to mod this map, but I don't remember promising it at all. Someone bugged the hell out of me into doing it so here.
However, for some reason, when I download the map, I get only two difficulties and they were submitted by scalone (your previous nick).
You might want to check your difficulties and their uploader, then full submit.

Drop me a forum PM (or in-game if I'm online then) when it's fixed so I can actually mod it.

  1. You need a background for your maps (should you disable it later for the SB).
  2. Talking about the SB, those white flashes are quite eyeraping, although they don't occur often. I'd suggest to soften them ?
HellDawn's Easy
  1. 00:43:549 (3,4) - It is the first time in the diff this rhythm has occured, and it's quite complicated compared to the other rhythms used in the diff. I'd suggest to unstack these to make the rhythm a bit less hard to play.
  2. 00:57:250 (1) - Claps are on the wrong beat (big white tick and third white tick).
  3. 00:59:140 (2) - Which makes a clap miss here.
  4. 01:01:029 (1) - That's nazi of me, but this slider isn't symmetrical. It makes the first and fourth tick overlap in a ugly way. ><
  5. 01:00:557 (5,1) - To stay consistent in your comboing and with your hitsounding, swap the new combos.
  6. 01:01:029 (1,2,1) - I don't think the "normal-clap-clap" works well here. You only use it twice, and it causes 01:04:336 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - this to sound extremely weird (because clap-whistle-normal then normal-whistle-clap which is extremely inconsistent)
  7. 01:10:478 (2,3) - To stay consistent in your hitsounding, reverse the claps.
  8. 02:25:596 (4) - I am concerned about this slider. First, it overlaps itself, which is supposed to be unrankable, but the overlap isn't big and is prefectly playable. I'd have accepted that in a Hard, but this is an Easy, and I'm pretty sure many new players will be thrown off by this slider. You're free to change it or not - I think it'd be better to change, though.

  3. 00:34:100 (1,2,1,2,1,2,3) - I think this part could be better, both gameplay-wise and combo-wise. 3/4 rhythms are pretty confusing imo, so I really avdvice to use repeat sliders for them. Combo-wise, it makes more sense with the music to have a new combo every time a 3/4 rhythm starts.

[General]
- AIBat says that these image files are unused. Either make sure they're being used or delete them and Full Submit. Before you Full Submit, make sure you also delete the two .osb files that are not in use.
- Difficulties should have consistent Audio Lead-In. Set them all to 2000, or possibly 1500, or maybe even 1750. Just make them all the same.
- Disable letterboxing during breaks for [Neo's Taiko].
- It's very highly recommended to use Tick Rate 2 on all difficulties other than [HellDawn's Easy]. Setting Tick Rate 2 on [Easy] causes some ticks to disappear and we don't want that. Anyway, for the other difficulties this will help make the velocity changes more sightreadable, and the sliders are a bit empty at Tick Rate 1. Sliderticks also have the added appeal of recovering some HP during sliders.

[Insane]
00:51:817 (2,3) - Currently, (3) is placed directly under the end of (2), which makes it virtually impossible to see with the Hidden mod. Other than that there aren't really any other noticeable errors here, so good job.

[LoliFlan's Hard]
- The stack leniency is too low on this difficulty. Patterns like 01:11:659 (5,6,1) and 01:14:258 (3,4) don't stack, but they should to make the map more possible to read on Hidden. Either raise the stack leniency to a point where patterns like this stack or manually stack those objects, but you have to do one.
- Also, there are a lot of little overlaps in this difficulty that I could point out but they aren't really that important, so oh well.

00:07:644 (1) - This should probably start 1/2 earlier, where the vocals would imply it starts.
00:30:321 - Small thing, but you should drag the break (on the timeline) to here, as shown in this screenshot. This way, it starts right where the new measure begins which is very somewhat cool.
00:54:415 (3) - There's a slight overlap with the HP bar here that looks sort of ugly, so try to rearrange the pattern a bit.
01:53:470 - I was going to suggest dragging the break to here as well, but it would actually make more sense to just map up to this point, as that's where the measure is and stuff.
02:31:974 (1) - Due to some glitch this note does not have a new combo, so you have to manually apply one.

[HellDawn's Easy]
00:05:281 (3,4,1) - Could you possibly not make (3) and (1) overlap somehow, because currently it looks really odd.
00:11:896 (1) - The slidertick makes this sort of noticeably asymmetrical, and it might look a little prettier if it was perfect.
00:39:770 (1) - This goes into the HP bar quite a bit which is rather non-pretty. So, try to avoid that.
02:06:699 (2) - There's a slight possibility here that a new player might not see the second repeat coming, so perhaps you could change it to two sliders or something along those lines to ease this.
02:12:368 (5) - It makes me a bit sad that the end overlaps with the start slightly, but other than that, this is a good heart. Almost a My Moment heart. <3

It's also possible to delete the images used in the storyboard if you hate it that much.
