Today is a special date for denizenship, as we're conmemorating the inclusion of three new members!, two of them just recently earned their qualification, but the one i'm talking about right now has been overdue for around 2 years, my mistake, thought they were already denizen, and you may think the same too, as their frequent appearances and memorable username are too noticeable to ignore. Coming in from the united states, and directly opposing one of the dominating factions in the realm of of off-topic, we would like to congratulate furry hater on achieving denizen!

our next denizen, despite coming from the same nation as our predecessor, couldn't be more different even if they tried!, specializing in making and playing doom WADS, known to randomly admit to things they couldn't waterboard out of most people, advocating for free and open source software, and as far as I know the only denizen to ever have gotten married before they recieved denizen, we have MistressRemilia! hooray!

Our last denizen for today in recent times has become a certified schizoposter, but not in the way we're used to seeing it, no wild conspiracy theories, no bait posts, not a immortal allegiance to a anime waifu or husbando, but rather, complete and and utter randomness and posts so nonensencial we are still trying to figure them out, but before that they were known for making very short, very concise posts, and being one of the most frequent posters in the kobold roll for anime character thread, which honestly seems like a bit of a loophole to denizenship but since we agreed to not count that as a forum game I guess that means it's valid for this as well as I don't want to make exception and complicate the simple rules of denizen. It's not been very long since the latest batch of denizens, but despite that, we have a new inclusion!, this resident femboy lover and tsukumizu enjoyer had been a presence in OT for the last three quarters of a year, but just recently, they kicked up their activity by a notch and became impossible to miss. OT Is going global!, as our newest denizen comes from what was previously uncharted grounds for this subforum, sri lanka! You may already know who this new denizen may be, but to give further clues, they are a user that commonly gets involved in pretty peaceful and respectful conversations about a wide variety of topics, be it music, vtubers, programming, or just random, aimless threads that sometiems spawn in OT. To finish off, they have shown appreciation for anime, specifically the currently airing CITY. True. I was not active at that time when Patatitta gave me denizenship. It's a title I longed before but now it just feels like an empty title with no life. I think, all the denizen's feel like this?Polyspora wrote:

edit: Gen 9 started the 24th of october of 2022, ended 28th of march of 2023, so around 5 months. Given I have been president for nearly 2 years, if we go by gen 9 as a baseline for a generation, we would be currently on gen 14/15.

the actual number of denizenship per year haven't changed. 2020 had 17 denizens, 2021 had 12 denizens, 2022 had 7, 2023 had 14, 2024 had 17, with 6 being old denizenship and 11 being on my new system, 2025 currently has 6 denizerhship, we're 3/4 through the year, so assuming the rate is the same, we should end up probably in around 8 denizens.Ymir wrote:

I really don't think people would allow for a year with only 4 denizen though, I feel there would still be some pushback against that and social pressure to choose someone. Plus given the case with blushing being chosen early in the previous denizen system, there may have been extra denizens that have not been nominated under my system.

It technically isn't supposed be that, although its hard not to target it for that. It's supposed to be a "let's make sure we don't forget about you when it's time to chronicle the history" type of thing. I am sure Coldtooth and Similarian have something to say when it comes to the original Gen 2/3 listing and how I left out some of the people they would consider regular enough to be noted.
