So, roughly a week ago, Camellia announced in the YouTube community post that he is going to release a song with 8000 BPM. The major problem is that nobody can stream 8000 BPM, and it's really fast.

sorry for bad grammar :D

If maked a BM in osu!mania mode, it'll probably look like raindrops.

A note that will never be readed by a human on this earth, even if it is an ET lol

*156.25 BPM intensifies* I know it's 10000 BPM but I divided it by 64. Nobody can stream fast, including aetrna/Merami.

if someone maps it it will probably just be mapped as if it was 250bpm or something (1/32 of the original bpm, which is a multiple of 4 and will line up if the song is in 4/4 time)
then they edit the red line to be 8000 bpm.
Camellia could use different divisions and the map would be made differently though.

no song is going to sound good if it was actually that fast, camellia likes do do clickbait like that. only the background noise runs are likely to actually be that fast. actual melody and stuff will be much slower.
(see the 2022 and 2021 new years songs for an example of what I mean)

more or less this yeah, and it really rustles my jimmies honestly
"haha high bpm go brrr", then proceeds to more or less make more of a standard-format track. Understandably so of course, since if you actually composed a 8000bpm song, it probably wouldn't be anything to write home about musically. "Clickbait" is kind of spot-on way to describe the thing
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes ikr. The same thing with the WYSI song, in which the actual melody is 181.75 BPM instead of 727 BPM.

I know

Hmmm....there was also a song called "Uranoid" that got released in YouTube at 2010.
Yet nobody has ranked this. I would really love to see someone just somehow making a ridiculously difficult "reverse slider go brrr" map.

This really just hurts my ears. Songs with absurdly high bpm just doesn't work naturally compared to normal ones.

the thing is, at A=440 the note E3 has a frequency of 164.81Hz.
10,000 / 60 = 166.
Thats also just the quarter notes, any 16th notes (1/4 streams) would be at 664hz, or like E5.

we're well in the territory of actual pitches when we get to that speed, and to hear it as something other than a single note you basically have to make it absolutely obnoxious. not to mention that that E is slightly sharp if the song is in standard tuning.

an example of how sufficiently fast rhythm becomes a pitch(s):

There is a period where it increases/decreases but still kinda remains similar pitched, seen by the ridges that appear. That effect actually has a name: Shepard tone. I am now fascinated at what speed that starts to happen, and how different drum pitches affect that.

8k bpm streams more like 8k bpm reverse slider sequences go brr

players when seeing 4 digit bpms be like: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, and they immediately used HT (even though that decreases the speed into 0.75x of the song)

8000bpm is slow compared to this

ClevelandsMyBro
the idea is so bad that he let time erase it from everyones memories. absolutely terrible idea to make an 8000 bpm song anyway.

It won't be terrible. He already made a 2023bpm song and it was cool

Camellia literally can make a 72727 bpm song if he wants to do it

sorry for necroing but tribute to my first ever thread

it's been one and a half year, camellia was probably joking about making this type of speedcore music
Patatitta
is there even a difference between 1000bpm and 238123821832bpm?
