RhymesWithMash's & tastydumpl1ng's 6k Resource Hub

What is this and what is it for?
This is a collection of 6k resources compiled by RhymesWithMash & yours truly in order to help newer players get into 6k on o!m. With -coro-'s 7k megapacks, something similar in nature for 6k was something we had in mind last year. Since the 6k community is a lot smaller by comparison, throwing out thousands of beatmaps in an uncatalogued way might be a little daunting for players that have never even tried the keymode before, and would pretty much be a graveyard mass download.

Thus we created the following resources:
  1. 6k Gigapack - a near complete set of 6k beatmaps in osu!mania up until now except for graveyard maps (we are sorry but there is so much to filter through ;w;), the mega files are most similar to coro's megapacks, but we have also included the google drive which sorts maps a little more
  2. 6k Gigapack index - a catalogue of all the relevant beatmaps, including some metadata elements such as mapper/artist/bpm/sr, our own addition of extra data such as Dan Rating when provided by the mapper, and manual type categorization and comments
  3. 6k Guide - a guide similar to the BMS guide for 7k which includes my own thoughts on improvement in 6k, further explanations of the resources, extra resource links, and some extra ramblings that might not be so relevant to all of you

With over 4000 beatmaps across ranked/loved/packs+graveyard, we hope this resource can provide players more maps to practice or get into 6k, as well as understand some of the nuances with star rating vs playing difficulty. If you would like to connect with other 6k players, there is a discord server here.

*** There is also another big 6k project coming out soon so be prepared for some more 6k stuffs (some of the people listed in this forum post may be involved too!) :> ***

Just as a disclaimer: this resource will not be expanded (as of Sept 2023) due to the logistics stuffs of storage space on mega/google drive as well as time commitment. I don't think it is feasible to completely categorize each map by type + give a dan equivalence. Much of the information (sr, type) may become outdated as reworks happen or personal experience with patterns grow, but we will try our best to update the existing database every month or so.

If you would like to provide general feedback or help categorize a map, please fill out this form!
