it become even more difficult for a News Reporter. I read all the threads just to get accurate news T~T. You don't even realize how annoying it is to read 90 threads, sometimes 120 threads in a week and gather News from them. And thanks to you, The number of threads to read has doubled since now I have to check if the old threads already read by me, have gotten new conversation on them. I have to check the date of so many threads. Its not easy as reading few threads and taking out a random post for the news T~T. Sometimes I even have to write the thread till 3am just because someone chainposted, either few days before or at the time of posting the thread

Personally, I don't like it at all when a user receive silence in OT! but if I became President and its your 2-3rd time doing it on purpose. I will not go against a moderator to stop your silence.

It's not that I believe Blushing isn't a suitable candidate for Denizen. He's a great person to engage with, and his posts in OT! showcase quality. However, they are not even close to the requirements. I found the post he made on the denizen thread very disrespectful. I dont know if he is active on OT!Neus or not, certainly not here, which is what I value.

Everyone have worked for it and so will he(if he want denizen Title). When I become President, revoking his Denizen title be the 2nd thing I will do.

For newfags, it's a weird topic to talk about, since most of them are children still, some people who aren't children do act in the same way as some of them lmao. what happens is that we have a faction of people that basically only wants to disrupt OT/want to go back to the old days, a faction of people that basically wants for everything to be as family friendly as possible, and neither of them actually have the willpower to try to make any change happen. I don't think the actual relationship is bad, I have yet to really see any conflict, but it's true that they are two very different groups of people

Kinda hard to not have a biased opinion as I'm literally part of the moderation... I think it's fine right now, I don't see too much issues with it. My only complain is Stefan who sometimes locks threads without any reason... But I think it's because OT changed a lot since he was gone before going back. As a vote, I would probably do a poll to decide what OT people actually wants, as the Blushing addition kinda divides the denizens at the moment, as it's clear the Blushing doesn't meets the current requirement at the moment. I think I'll listen to what the majority wants. But personally I'm divided about what to do: keep Blushing, maybe move them to gen 11, or simply remove them until they meet requirements...

it's not pointless to remove and then re-add, it's just correcting a mistake. There is no way to keep blushing while still trying to make the requirements something important, if something, leaving blushing transmit the energy of "well didn't die I don't want drama so I'm just going to completely ignore this issue"

It's alright.
With more mods in OT awake in different timezones, it helps lock a lot of the trash out and giving proper moderation to some, albeit maaaybe with some mistakes from time to time, but it aint much of a bother, being so rare.
And i do like how each of them have there own sort of personality to them too, now as for stephanie, well not being favored by the newer denizens for locking random threads, i am intrigued by it and especially on how far it will go, however, its still not favorable for the masses, perhaps with my new "Unlocking" powers then, i would unlock the all the threads deemed, unworthy of a lock by the people of OT.

I dont really like the idea of being able to request for denizenship, as this would open to many ways people abusing it, such as newer denizens constantly begging for denizenship.
I would revert the denizenship just so the mistake can be corrected, and make the order of denizenship correct as well being Anaxii to Kobold to Sametdze, and give Blushing the proper the correct denizenship at a later date alongside with the new rules for denizenship.
Also ban the idea of future privately requesting for denizenship, as its the governments responsibility for when one gets to receive the title of denizenship and for it to also correct its mistake and not leave it.

As for the roles, while i cant fix the disease of inactivity, but i can counter it and make the government somewhat alive, such as giving a ruling where all if a government member even the president isnt active for atleast 1-2 months, then they get automatically kicked out and there roles being replaced, that way, it can somewhat help in making the government active without leaving inactive members in the government.
Also the ruling or one to request leaving the government (though im pretty sure this already exists)

There is point in removing him. Its not about if he deserve the denizenship or not. Its about, There was a mistake made, we are just fixing it

Hydreigon, nor the denizenship or the requirement of active month and x amount of post are the problem. The problem is not applying them consistently. These rules were never even applied on denizen above Gen8. And right now these rules are not getting applied. Thats the issue. You being there for 2nd opinion is the biggest shit I have heard in a while. YOU ARE THE PRESIDENT, YOU ARE THE ONE TO HAVE 1ST OPINION. Parliament is suppose to give you 2nd opinion and give you advice. OT! need change and a big one. All the effort abraker have put in till yet, the same amount of effort need to put in OT again and in just a year. You are not even saying "I will be active"

You guys are focusing on the wrong problem at hand! The whole reason I was pushed for denizenship was to actively make change for systems in which the current government is too scared to seize control of!

You guys are looking and discussing apples when the real threat is about discussing all fruits and POSSIBLY even vegetables, but you are all too focused on the fact that I got a fake title on a website for a rhythm game!

Sometimes I think you guys care about denizenship too much. Its an title which is given after you meet the requirement of 8months and 20 pages of post. What is complicated about it?

I will just make this rule apply to every denizen there is in OT! and Will make a rule: If future government want to change the rule. It must be applied to every citizens there was or is in OT!. (so if you are really serious about it, You need to put an insane amount of effort.)

The meaning is that abraker scrolled through old posts and the ones who made an impact in his memory got the denizen title. Just posting a lot is not enough, I don't even like the current requirements, they shouldn't exist. It should be people who were part of the community and left an impression on OT. Usually posting a lot does that, but there were people with less posts who still excelled at it. It's arguable if Blushing did.

I have thought about this every time the denizen topic came in past, But till now I have not find any rule which is simple for future gov to follow and is great at selecting denizen. The problem with 'people who were part of the community and left an impression on OT' can turn into.

Something like this is what I wanna implement But its not a solid plan and I dont promise to implement it. I will discuss it after I won that is. Some sort of rules, either creating 2 queue on the basis of quality with 2 requirement(mostly not but fun idea to discuss)

Ok I read some of it and your stances on this are specifically caused by the fact the "denizen system" has been turned from a fun little side project by abraker into something that you guys take way too seriously - it should have been seen as a "hall of fame" thread rather than people who are part of the community. OT should have never been gatekept by anything other than peer pressure and the introduction of the denizen title has been devastating to the forum.

Giving more moderating powers to non-GMT is kinda... complicated... The problem with wastelanded threads is most of the time (let's say at least for the ones I do wasteland) there's actually a real reason for the wasteland, such as inappropriate discussions and contents that goes against the rules, and they should remain here. I can understand this is something that may look unfair but there's nothing you can do... And about the lock abuses, I feel like they're quite rare, I don't think it's really needed.

So about the government having moderation powers I think this is unfortunately non implementable... Sorry...

GMT's are smart people and I meant all of them. They have a good sense of right and wrong, they are not stubborn, even if some appear to be. But if a overlord start locking threads, which should not be locked, the best option is to ask them nicely to not lock threads and explain them why. A voice of a citizen is not strong enough to convince a person like Overlord but if well known and reputed GMT like Kobold or Abraker ask him, I am 100% sure the issue will resolve.

Alright, here's my take. get that the GMT folks are no dummies. If they're locking a thread, there's probably a good reason, like a clash or a blatant 'shitpost.' Locking those is just how things roll. But, if a citizen feels their thread got the short end of the stick, I'd want them to shoot their thoughts straight to the government. To make that happen, I'm thinking of setting up an Official Thread. It's gonna be GMT-lock-proof, and it's where citizens can hash things out with the government directly.

So, if your thread got the axe unfairly, drop it in the Official Thread, and the government's gotta spill the beans within a week. Quick and clear, that's the goal. This way, we're making sure everyone's got a voice and things run smooth. If this didnt answer your question, let me know.

if the current gmts are not willing to do anything, probably try to get my complaints up the command chain, either try to get other gmt to fight them, or submit a formal complaint to a higher power. If somehow that isn't an option, I would just try to organize some sort of protest inside OT, but for now, it's better to keep track of the GMT applications and who gets in why and for what.

oh it absolutely should, I plan to make a thread where everyone can complain about either the government and/or moderation with legal protection that their copmplaints won't be nuked or laughed at or whatever. I will also give a DM option so people can complain anonimously. I currently feel a lot of GMT are unchecked, and even when they make a mistake, the other GMT's are too scared to actually do something about it or people just think that it's better to not fight against a GMT. If a GMT makes a mistake nowadays, there is no one to correct them. If we as a group unionize and actively fight against certain unfair moderation tactics, we probably can get change done.

Before handing over power to the people of OT there should be a clearly written rulebook written for GMTs to follow. In case there's a GMT actively abusing their powers, the people of OT have other ways of grouping up to stand up to the tyranny and fight against injustice.

Definitely would implement a way where one can privately message (or even publicly announce via a thread or in the OT discord) about there complaint of there thread unfairly locked or nuked, and so long as it doesnt break the grand edict of OT and the forum wide rules of osu forums, then it can be reverted.



And if a GMT is repeatedly abusing there powers to the poor denizens of OT, either by unfairly locking threads and constant reports by the denizens, then the steps mentioned above will come to play.
