As an idea, I have never chainposted and nor have did shitposting just to farm numbers, Like on shitpost thread or memorizing the number of pie thread. I dont reply on half of the thread in OT!(Out of 30thread in 1 page, I have hardly reply on 10) but still I have 6000posts in OT! in 2years.

I do have some concrete plans for denizenship such as:

the shorter wait time
the ban of requesting for denizenship
the change of requirements

I still would give either a Yes or No on which ruling gets passed, its just that i want discussion with the new government so that i can have a more second opinion on it, so that i can see what else can be tinkered, and if the changes can be right and fair while still giving the prestige of one receiving the denizenship title

and yeah, new election for VP and a month after, new election for parliament

as stated above, another separate election would be held afterwards for the role of Vice President, as for why the need, ...well why not? the government has been really inactive and rather not doing much during my time back and from remarks of other people, and more denizens now active, surely the addition of another wouldnt hurt? and as stated before, the VP can sort act as a more if ever the case of the president dying to cringe, then the current VP would immediately take the role of president and it would be there choice of either, continuing the VP role and electing a new VP or abolishing it.
There is also other plans i make for the VP role, they can act as a more second in command, being able to make and orders similar to the president, with just now needing the president official permission on accepting so.

also one thing i want to add is that, i'll try to make it so that the changes to denizenship require arent fully the same with your OTEra system, that way both can exist as separate titles
though i think for you it wouldnt matter as you, as you would most likely abolish the denizenship system or sort of merge the ruling with OTEra's

As for the roles, while i cant fix the disease of inactivity, but i can counter it and make the government somewhat alive, such as giving a ruling where all if a government member even the president isnt active for atleast 1-2 months, then they get automatically kicked out and there roles being replaced, that way, it can somewhat help in making the government active without leaving inactive members in the government.
Also the ruling or one to request leaving the government (though im pretty sure this already exists)

Hydreigon, nor the denizenship or the requirement of active month and x amount of post are the problem. The problem is not applying them consistently. These rules were never even applied on denizen above Gen8. And right now these rules are not getting applied. Thats the issue. You being there for 2nd opinion is the biggest shit I have heard in a while. YOU ARE THE PRESIDENT, YOU ARE THE ONE TO HAVE 1ST OPINION. Parliament is suppose to give you 2nd opinion and give you advice. OT! need change and a big one. All the effort abraker have put in till yet, the same amount of effort need to put in OT again and in just a year. You are not even saying "I will be active"

If you are going to use me you should use me for something more creative and less tedious than the same 6 year discussion about To be: Denizenship or Not To Be: No Denizenship.

This entire government election is just going to revert back to the same issues as previous ones. The lot of you think there is an inherent importance to the denizen title yet cant explain why it matters so much other than "Recognition and Hall of Fame", If i cared about actually needing that I wouldn't have named myself something so recognizable as "Blushing".

Revoke it or not I don't care, but you guys are using me to talk about an issue that will always plague the system. There is nothing that can be done until you all put away this fantasy that "I can be the one to fix denizen system", like be so fr.

There are bigger things at work and all you guys care about discussing is "BLUSHINGGGIUIUPiuhiuh NOOOO PLEASE WE CANT hAVE INCONSISTENCIES IN THE SYSTEM!!11!!!!", there is inconsistent moderation in this subforum and I dont see you guys debating that, even when its asked directly to you all. dude, we've talked this in discord, my point is to re-do the system from the ground up, and I also complained about inconsistent moderation, that is also something I want to change, don't missrepresent what i've told to you

Sometimes I think you guys care about denizenship too much. Its an title which is given after you meet the requirement of 8months and 20 pages of post. What is complicated about it?

I will just make this rule apply to every denizen there is in OT! and Will make a rule: If future government want to change the rule. It must be applied to every citizens there was or is in OT!. (so if you are really serious about it, You need to put an insane amount of effort.)

Then what makes it hold special value? If it’s just a title when I reach a milestone then why does it hold value?

Why remove me when I can reach that in approximately the amount of time it takes me to write a script to post to on the last 20 pages

from the time i've been on OT, no, it hasn't ever had a meaning, but I at least want to make that the rules that are on the thread are applied and also that the acutal rules are consistant all across the thread

The meaning is that abraker scrolled through old posts and the ones who made an impact in his memory got the denizen title. Just posting a lot is not enough, I don't even like the current requirements, they shouldn't exist. It should be people who were part of the community and left an impression on OT. Usually posting a lot does that, but there were people with less posts who still excelled at it. It's arguable if Blushing did.

I have thought about this every time the denizen topic came in past, But till now I have not find any rule which is simple for future gov to follow and is great at selecting denizen. The problem with 'people who were part of the community and left an impression on OT' can turn into.

MP-1: I like this guy, he should be denizen
MP-2: I do too
MP-3: I dont dislike him
MP-4: I am not too sure, he is quite new.

It can get really biased. I dont see people like scyla getting denizen early since his post are not 'quality' but clearly people like him have big contribution in keeping OT! active. Thats why I want it to be more like

MP-4: Yeah he does not but according to x rule. We can remove the post requirement if all 5 of us including president agrees.
MP-1: Yeah lets state why you want him to be denizen.

Something like this is what I wanna implement But its not a solid plan and I dont promise to implement it. I will discuss it after I won that is. Some sort of rules, either creating 2 queue on the basis of quality with 2 requirement(mostly not but fun idea to discuss)

Ok I read some of it and your stances on this are specifically caused by the fact the "denizen system" has been turned from a fun little side project by abraker into something that you guys take way too seriously - it should have been seen as a "hall of fame" thread rather than people who are part of the community. OT should have never been gatekept by anything other than peer pressure and the introduction of the denizen title has been devastating to the forum.

Giving more moderating powers to non-GMT is kinda... complicated... The problem with wastelanded threads is most of the time (let's say at least for the ones I do wasteland) there's actually a real reason for the wasteland, such as inappropriate discussions and contents that goes against the rules, and they should remain here. I can understand this is something that may look unfair but there's nothing you can do... And about the lock abuses, I feel like they're quite rare, I don't think it's really needed.

So about the government having moderation powers I think this is unfortunately non implementable... Sorry...

GMT's are smart people and I meant all of them. They have a good sense of right and wrong, they are not stubborn, even if some appear to be. But if a overlord start locking threads, which should not be locked, the best option is to ask them nicely to not lock threads and explain them why. A voice of a citizen is not strong enough to convince a person like Overlord but if well known and reputed GMT like Kobold or Abraker ask him, I am 100% sure the issue will resolve.

Alright, here's my take. get that the GMT folks are no dummies. If they're locking a thread, there's probably a good reason, like a clash or a blatant 'shitpost.' Locking those is just how things roll. But, if a citizen feels their thread got the short end of the stick, I'd want them to shoot their thoughts straight to the government. To make that happen, I'm thinking of setting up an Official Thread. It's gonna be GMT-lock-proof, and it's where citizens can hash things out with the government directly.

if the current gmts are not willing to do anything, probably try to get my complaints up the command chain, either try to get other gmt to fight them, or submit a formal complaint to a higher power. If somehow that isn't an option, I would just try to organize some sort of protest inside OT, but for now, it's better to keep track of the GMT applications and who gets in why and for what.

oh it absolutely should, I plan to make a thread where everyone can complain about either the government and/or moderation with legal protection that their copmplaints won't be nuked or laughed at or whatever. I will also give a DM option so people can complain anonimously. I currently feel a lot of GMT are unchecked, and even when they make a mistake, the other GMT's are too scared to actually do something about it or people just think that it's better to not fight against a GMT. If a GMT makes a mistake nowadays, there is no one to correct them. If we as a group unionize and actively fight against certain unfair moderation tactics, we probably can get change done.

Before handing over power to the people of OT there should be a clearly written rulebook written for GMTs to follow. In case there's a GMT actively abusing their powers, the people of OT have other ways of grouping up to stand up to the tyranny and fight against injustice.

Definitely would implement a way where one can privately message (or even publicly announce via a thread or in the OT discord) about there complaint of there thread unfairly locked or nuked, and so long as it doesnt break the grand edict of OT and the forum wide rules of osu forums, then it can be reverted.



And if a GMT is repeatedly abusing there powers to the poor denizens of OT, either by unfairly locking threads and constant reports by the denizens, then the steps mentioned above will come to play.
