I am here to register and possibly run for president for this year's election. I believe that with my fresh take on OT as part of 9th gen, I can give the OT!Government with new and creative ways to improve OT's landscape, and provide them with useful solutions to any possible problems that might occur during this term. I will speak to the hearts of our denizens, and devote myself to my public service if I am elected the President of OT.
My vision for OT is to improve our current reputation of being the garbage bin for the osu!Forums. And so, I want to make OT more welcoming for any newcomers and any visitors that might stumble upon this place, urging them to learn more about our culture and OT as a whole. I also want to turn OT into a place where threads with effort put into them would be highly encouraged and appreciated.
I may have been here in OT for only 1 year, however, in that timespan, I have made many contributions and experiences that would prove that I am worthy of being your new OT President. You may be able to find my full list of experiences in this thread, but here are my most notable ones:
1. Made an abundance of creative and high effort threads throughout my time here

Stop bitching about it. There is no problem with the denizen system. People are just complaining about it because they are not denizen yet(I was there too). "President" position is not powerful as you guys may think. Generally decision be decided by Parliament members. President have the same position power as Parliament members and the Reason president position is there to have a representative of the Government(my guess)
On the newcomer situation, well we can’t have all the trash in the world.
Back then the denizen system was as easy as ever, because all you needed was some activity, and a decent accountability that you aren't the dumbest person alive. Sure that last part may sound like a joke, but that's how I view it from Ephermeral's words. Infact, I was fairly certain he wasn't joking a while ago when he said he wanted to purge this subforum (to which I silently agreed).
Now being rude isn't going to get me anywhere either, but let's face it, anyone who's joined OT in the last year or so haven't really been an upstanding nice person (Stomiks is pretty decent in my book). I don't care how people view me, but I've typically just been a nuisance as the new folks claimed me to be. That's fine in my book, you can see me as such, and that's your choice or opinion. But the ones previous to gen 8 will know that, this is basically how I was ever since I joined OT almost a decade ago.
If you are going to talk shit about me (Manishh) then I suggest you find something fire instead of pulling things out of nowhere and using it as an insult. Not like I care, nobody in this subforum hasn't really insulted me, it's going to take a lot of pressure to really get me upset. You can view me as someone that fuels some flames, but never was able to light their own fire. Quite an intricate description if I do say so myself.
Anyways, I understand where you come from, Sebastian. I'm not exactly the nicest person 'round here, but I'm certainly nowhere near the dumbest. I have an expertise in this subforum's history, and know exactly that some old folks do miss those good times years ago. And while some most likely won't join back, I'd still like to go back to such events. I do miss those really ancient forum games, those were... truly some of the highlights of my earlier lifespans.
But if you were truly wondering if I would apply as a president for this place, well... it wouldn't be the worst decision I've made in my life, but it'd be a pretty bad one. As far as I know, there's literally no benefits to being a president, and it's all for cosmetic and roleplay purposes. Nothing I'm against, though it just seems silly. But hey, being silly is a part of everyone's life, we all have to dive away from the serious tones surrounding us in life, so we try to leave it by entertaining ourselves. It's like mistakes, people make them, nobody is perfect, and thus we all have those methods to escape reality.
I won't apply, though I hope this doesn't backfire and some people pressure me to do so.
Jokes aside, I don't know if I'm being biased or if I just don't see it, but I don't really see newfags that aggressive besides for a few circumstances like the Denizenship thing a few months ago.

As you know, I have contributed to OT most notably with the highly successful OT!Song Festival thanks to which you can hear abraker sing I Want It That Way and where participants showcased their talent.
It also served as an inspiration for subsequent successful events organised by other denizen.
I have also created the mildly successful Pros & Cons Forum Game as well as made attempts to reunite with older gens with RPish threads.
My reason for registering today is that I have noticed a divide between generations that I wish to fix.
That is why, as a president, I would promote the creation of high Quality™ and original threads, allowing older generations to see a renewal of the old times while also giving newer denizens and dwellers opportunities to express their creativity through forms other than shitposting.

I’m the kitty that you all (should) adore from Gen 7 (yes I’m a stinky midfag) and I warmly welcome you to my short talk. I’ve personally been involved in quite a lot of community projects over the years, and always had been great help and support. I’m also very open-minded and politically neutral, meaning that I will always listen to your ideas, and bring democracy to reality.Why am I running for presidency?
There are a couple reasons. First of all, the former president was not able to do much during her time. She made many great promises, but accomplished almost nothing. This has been very damaging to the development of OT, and the further implementation of democracy in OT. Financial-wise, OT had not been able to achieve a stable economy, and commodity prices fluctuated greatly. Secondly, I believe that I have the ability and responsibility to guide OT towards a better future. Many others have the same dream, but some of them may have an unstable mindset and this may ultimately lead to unstoppable corruption and in result, cause the collapse of the OT government. This will be discussed in detail in the next section. Thirdly, I personally take this as a great chance of improving my own abilities, in both social and physical ways. I have been the leading entity of many organizations, both IRL and online, but I still lack much in tying the group together, and I look for a chance to improve myself and overcome said issue.Summary: Previous president bad, other candidates bad, I have the ability to be a good president.What do I envision for the future of OT?
This may seem like a hard question to answer at first, but I’m sure we all have our answer down in our hearts. That is, for OT to become better. More high quality threads, more interesting events, and everything that can entertain us and relieve us from the tiring reality. This is my rule of thumb, all the way from the beginning. I’m very kind-hearted and I genuinely enjoy offering a helping hand to people in need. If given the right opportunities and resources, I’m sure that I can lead OT and build it into a utopia, a haven, a wonderland, anything that you can ever imagine. Clean your mind for a moment and picture this: There is nobody bossing over us every day, and we live a life only to our wills… This may be too much to ask the stinky politicians to achieve in the real world, but in a cyber space, we can go beyond. We can free ourselves from the boundaries of monarchism, capitalism, you name it. We will only achieve what everyone wants. In order to do this, I will empower everyone. No one will be ever condescended upon again, and OT can become what you want it to be. Also just because a more progressive denizen is voted as president, it doesn’t necessarily mean big changes are guaranteed to come since the parliament can easily veto a change. New parliament voting will happen in probably 6 months.

Aggressive is not in a sense of being violent. But rather in a sense of wanting to change everything. I am new too but after the Gen 9 creation. For me personally, I don't really care about changing things like Denizenship or the elections that much since it has worked for this long. Don't fix what's not broken.
