"President" position is not powerful as you guys may think. Generally decision be decided by Parliament members. President have the same position power as Parliament members and the Reason president position is there to have a representative of the Government(my guess)

Being nice hasn't really gotten me anywhere, and alot of us who were a part of anything previous to gen 6 missed the times when this place actually had a standing reputation because the community was a much more beautiful place back then. I miss people like Penguin, Serrai, and Westonini. Hell I'm not even sure what they're doing nowadays. I think Serrai is still jamming to FFXIV (and I'm definitely re-hooked on that), but maybe they took a break or something.

Back then the denizen system was as easy as ever, because all you needed was some activity, and a decent accountability that you aren't the dumbest person alive. Sure that last part may sound like a joke, but that's how I view it from Ephermeral's words. Infact, I was fairly certain he wasn't joking a while ago when he said he wanted to purge this subforum (to which I silently agreed).

Now being rude isn't going to get me anywhere either, but let's face it, anyone who's joined OT in the last year or so haven't really been an upstanding nice person (Stomiks is pretty decent in my book). I don't care how people view me, but I've typically just been a nuisance as the new folks claimed me to be. That's fine in my book, you can see me as such, and that's your choice or opinion. But the ones previous to gen 8 will know that, this is basically how I was ever since I joined OT almost a decade ago.

If you are going to talk shit about me (Manishh) then I suggest you find something fire instead of pulling things out of nowhere and using it as an insult. Not like I care, nobody in this subforum hasn't really insulted me, it's going to take a lot of pressure to really get me upset. You can view me as someone that fuels some flames, but never was able to light their own fire. Quite an intricate description if I do say so myself.

Anyways, I understand where you come from, Sebastian. I'm not exactly the nicest person 'round here, but I'm certainly nowhere near the dumbest. I have an expertise in this subforum's history, and know exactly that some old folks do miss those good times years ago. And while some most likely won't join back, I'd still like to go back to such events. I do miss those really ancient forum games, those were... truly some of the highlights of my earlier lifespans.

But if you were truly wondering if I would apply as a president for this place, well... it wouldn't be the worst decision I've made in my life, but it'd be a pretty bad one. As far as I know, there's literally no benefits to being a president, and it's all for cosmetic and roleplay purposes. Nothing I'm against, though it just seems silly. But hey, being silly is a part of everyone's life, we all have to dive away from the serious tones surrounding us in life, so we try to leave it by entertaining ourselves. It's like mistakes, people make them, nobody is perfect, and thus we all have those methods to escape reality.

I won't apply, though I hope this doesn't backfire and some people pressure me to do so.

The quality assurance thing most of these candidates are talking about could be a double edged sword.

On one hand, it would be very nice to have OT have more higher quality threads. But if this system is too strict, it would make people not want to come up with new ideas because of how the thread would be locked from not being high quality enough.

Although I could be overthinking it and in reality they're just trying to reduce the amount of shitposts in here.
