The High Tier Echelons of OT

Quality comes in all shapes and sizes. It does not need to be high effort but it does need to impress. It needs to offer something new. Something that not only breaks a rift across the waves of trash constantly floating in OT but competes with attempted high effort work. Today the OT Royal Society of Quality presents the most prestigious award it can bestow to any Denizen.

The first denizen to be given this award shall be JustABeginner for his terrific work on the Sad Story. thread. This thread is largely inspired from the Help thread. Whereas the help thread is based on interactions, JAB's work offers a more cinematic experience.

Truly a masterpiece. JAB's work is able to invoke emotion without the use of words. Truly an impressive feat even most writers won't be able to accomplish.

I will be giving out awards to achievements of the past as well. I'm thinking of doing 1 per week. So next one will be sometime this weekend. Put down your guesses on who it is going to be and for what!

You and your fellow denizens are gathered together onto the forum stage. You don't know how or why, but you have a bad feeling about this. You notice denizens on the other side voting for something. The results are in - you received the least votes! A terrifying man approaches you and you get a sense of helplessness. You've been voted out... you shall be EXECUTED!

This style of games were reminiscent of the hunger games hosted prior such as the one by Railey2, but these introduced the element of denizen participation for the first time. A total of 7 executions were carried out, compiled into The Executionary Tales. It's impresive how Denizen Zekks ran the games for a year, even letting me host and co-host a couple of them. They eventually evolved into having a story element, making it more impressive.

It has been joked around multiple times over the years. johnmedina999 has announced candidacy at least a couple times. Yet nothing came of it. Then out of nowhere one denizen changed that. It is quite impressive because that one event has ushered a new era in OT, one in which denizens finally ruled the subforum instead of ye GMT lords of olde. Now few years since, we are on our 4th OT!President. Give it up for Tad!

NOTICE

The ot!neus discord server has been an established hub for OT denizens for 5 years now. It has indeed cemented its place by surviving some of the most worrying circumstances. Yet may its end ever come there is another that may take its place - NEOS. It's been almost 2 years since NEOS discord server has been created and has established itself as the central hub as THE place where organized OT events are done. A special mention needs to be given to Shinrun for coming up with NEOS, but it was the impulse of someone leading to its creation that has lead to it being the regular occurrence of many fun activities. So give it up to Keremaru!
Of course justice cannot be done without the actual meat of NEOS, the game nights. These have brought denizens together where they have played various online party games. Even now, long after those nights, the pleasant memories are stuck with denizens longing for more of such events. So thank you for giving denizens many shared moments spent together, for OT!GN. Congratulations, Shinrun!

2 years ago dropped a legendary thread in OT that gave everyone an opportunity for something special. Normally prizes come in form in supporter tags, but this one was more. Much much more. It offered hypes, it offered art commissions, and games, dlcs, and even donations to charity. One would get points for answering questions of all sorts, and with enough questions, one obtains the prize. Many crazy giveaways transpired before and after, but none were as so special as this one. Of course I am talking about "Can you win a suptag?" by DragonSlayer96. Looking back on that, I feel everyone in OT owes you back.
