February

New features were added to the osu! website, including beatmap listing filters for played beatmaps (osu!supporter only), categories for beatmap packs, and visible avatars in the header.1

March

For receiving more rapid and useful feedback, test builds were made available to supporters.

An osu! update on March 28 brought improvements to beatmap editor dialogs and increased Bancho's performance.23

The first edition of osu!monthly was launched by jjrocks and Corin, presenting a variety of content ranging from user statistics to promotions in the Beatmap Appreciation Team (BAT) and the Mapping Assistance Team (MAT).4

August

osu!stream was published, making osu! available on iOS with unique features. Compared to the desktop version, osu!stream offered new gameplay mechanics and original beatmaps.5

LuigiHann organised the first official storyboarding contest, where users were asked to create storyboards for the three finalists of the Official Beatmapping Contest 3.6

September

An unofficial version of osu! was released by Pesets for the Android platform.7 A dedicated subforum for this project is now archived.

October

The count of registered users surpassed 1,000,000.8

December

The osu! wiki was announced, allowing users to add all sorts of information about everything osu! related.910
