Don't kudosu any of my posts

  1. 00:18:424 (3) - You can choose to replace this with a circle in order to put a triple here 00:18:601 - to fit better with the music
  2. 00:20:895 (1,2) - and the rhythm here should technically be circle, triple, triple
  3. 00:24:248 - This should be mapped the keep the map flowing. Normally a circle would be fine, but it might interfere with your following circle pattern.
Maybe a better change is: 00:23:366 (2) - First move this closer to (5,1) to follow distance snapping. It'll make the pattern look a little bit neater. Then you can copy+paste 2 (!!), rotate it 180 degrees and stack it on 00:24:424 (1) - . It'll create a simple slider pair that revolves around (5)'s tail. Then simply create another slider between 2 and 3 at 00:24:072 -
  4. 00:41:895 - Note to keep the flow
  5. 00:48:424 (2) - You should break this up into circle + slider, and consider a triple here 00:49:042 -
  6. 00:54:072 (2) - Consider changing this to a 1/2 slider + circle, and adding a triple here 00:54:689 -
  7. 01:19:483 (1,2) - kinda strange how you changed it to this. I think the rotation before was fine, but I guess this is ok too

  1. 00:03:777 (2) - like this https://puu.sh/vHE90/8df56318ee.png
Ok starting from now, a lot of my suggestions might greatly alter the map. This is the real deal :P
I suggest you make a copy difficulty to make changes so you can revert back if necessary

For better design, you should be considering making more concrete patterns.
Make the objects work together instead of making them look randomly placed

I'll point out some patterns that could be designed better
  1. 00:05:719 (6,1) - This transition is really weak because (1) is near 45 degrees, the weakest kind of slider x( Closer to horizontal and maybe a slight flow change might help here. I also suggest grouping it with 00:06:777 (3) - to make it structured better https://puu.sh/vHGB6/b93803d088.png
  2. 00:17:013 (1,2,3,4) - Here you could consider grouping 2 and 3 to make a better pattern
  3. 00:20:366 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3) - Observe where the emphasis lies in the song. It's at 00:20:895 (4,7,3) - So in your mapping you should try to reflect this. (3) doesn't need the flow change that you mapped, but (4) and the (5,6,7) triple should. You can easily fix this by mapping something like this. If you make this change, you can also change 00:21:424 (1,2,3) - to fit better with this pattern by putting it snugly between (4) and (5,6,7) triple (and then adjusting the following 00:22:130 (4) - to fit with this new pattern)
  4. 00:28:660 (1,2) - You should group these as well. Maybe alter the rhythm too (something like this? https://puu.sh/vHG1O/72c0de186b.png)
  5. 00:32:542 (4,5,1) - (1) is very weak here because of lack of flow change and the jump on (4,5). One option is to ctrl+G this slider to improve the emphasis. Then you could setup a pattern like this on the following notes. You could instead Alter the flow on (1) to make a pattern like this
  6. 00:39:248 (4,5) - The direction these guys go is very weak. Near 90 degrees (either vertical or horizontal) would make them feel stronger https://puu.sh/vHGcv/0452165453.png
We'll keep it at that for now

  2. 00:17:013 (1,2,3,4) - Here you could consider grouping 2 and 3 to make a better pattern made change but still kinda awkward, i'll think of something to replace soon
  3. 00:20:366 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3) - Observe where the emphasis lies in the song. It's at 00:20:895 (4,7,3) - So in your mapping you should try to reflect this. 4. 00:28:660 (1,2) - You should group these as well. Maybe alter the rhythm too (something like this? https://puu.sh/vHG1O/72c0de186b.png) done, although i shifted these few notes over by a bit
  5. 00:32:542 (4,5,1) - (1) is very weak here because of lack of flow change and the jump on (4,5). One option is to ctrl+G this slider to improve the emphasis. Then you could setup a pattern like this on the following notes. You could instead Alter the flow on (1) to make a pattern like this I went with making 1 horizontal (and remapped that bit. hopefully it looks fine), also changed rhythm a bit so there's no gaps anymore
  6. 00:39:248 (4,5) - The direction these guys go is very weak. Near 90 degrees (either vertical or horizontal) would make them feel stronger https://puu.sh/vHGcv/0452165453.png done as well

You should look for every opportunity to group or relate sliders together. It will help with visuals and structure

  1. 00:03:248 (1,2) - 1, 2, 3 or whatever else you can come up with (:
  2. 00:06:777 (3,1) - an example

    ---

  3. 00:29:189 (2,1) - be careful of unintentional overlaps
  4. 00:32:542 (4,5,1) - the spacing is a bit unnecessary pic
  5. 00:38:542 (1,2,3,4,5) - Ok nevermind, maybe this looks a little strange .. maybe it's because they're all horizontal. 00:39:248 (4,5) - Perhaps if you make this vertical ... maybe like this if you can understand that picture (the green (2,3) and blue (4,5) don't change. Also blue 3 is rotated in this specific example to help with the flow from 1,2)

alright I'm just gonna point out everything. These are all super minor suggestions about stylistic changes. You don't need to follow these if you don't want to
  1. 00:03:248 (1,2) - I think it's important to have (2) directed slightly upwards. This probably sounds crazy, but I think it fits the music better. It'll also have liiiittle better progression to the next note, because right now the flow is too smooth creating an unwanted antijump effect. Also maybe consider slightly directing (1) upwards as well. I'd move them spatially apart too. Right now it looks a little bit constraining. Actually while I'm at it, I might also consider giving both sliders a slight bit more curvature to make them look a little stronger
    example incorporating all these things

  2. 00:08:542 - This one is kind of a bigger change ... You could consider making this whole part more symmetric. The pattern will be really similar:
    1. 00:08:542 (2) - center this circle
    2. 00:09:424 (2,3) - center these, maybe at around 256|124
    3. 00:08:895 (1,2,3) - then copy these onto 00:10:307 - and rotate 180 degrees
    4. 00:11:719 (1,2,3) - and you can continue the centered pattern with these. maybe an idea
    5. 00:13:130 (1,2) - and then adjusting these accordingly
  3. 00:15:954 (1) - Also a little bigger change, I would consider making this go upwards. It'll help greatly with the emphasis because of the huge flowbreak, if you're ok with a little increase in difficulty. example, here I altered pink (3) as well to make it look better with my new slider

  4. 00:18:601 (1,2,3) - If you take the above suggestion, this slider should follow suit in emphasis with a flowbreak of its own. I would also swap the rhythm here 00:19:307 (4,5) - . You could structure it like this to make sure the transition from (5) to (1) still makes sense

  5. 00:20:366 (2,3,4) - move (4) further away from (2) to maintain an equal distance between these three notes
  6. 00:28:660 (1,2) - I would also have these slightly directed upwards https://puu.sh/vP3IK/7ff12133b9.png
  7. 00:34:307 (1,2) - You could consider mapping these similarly as before to maintain style, example, keeping the level of curvature on the sliders consistent
  8. 00:53:895 (3,1,2) - I think a better rhythm would be slider + circle + circle, or slider + slider, as the emphasis from vocals are on the red ticks
  9. 00:56:895 (1) - This should be a 1/2 slider, and I would fill in the gaps here 00:57:777 - , maybe a circle + 1/2 slider starting from that timestamp
  10. 01:05:366 (1,3) - You should really make these sliders the same as 01:05:719 (2,4) -
  11. 01:12:424 (1,2,3,4,5) - The overlap on 4 looks kinda weird. Maybe like this, with 5 stacked on 3 (notice in this example I change the direction of 2 as well, it makes the structure a little more interesting
  12. 01:25:130 (1) - just so you know, this is a bezier curve and not a standard 3-point circular slider. It happens when you add a fourth sliderpoint and then remove it. You should delete and remake this slider to make it a standard circular slider

fixed all :D

Final touch ups
  1. 00:23:719 (4) - To create neater structure, this should tilt slightly into (3) instead of slightly out (ie rotate by -5 to -10 degrees). Same with the next (5) slider, it should be leaning slightly towards the (4) slider instead of away (you should rotate it the same amount as you did for (4))
  2. 00:39:248 (4) - Conversely, this should be tilted slightly away from (5) (-5 degree rotation) and (5) should go from outwards to inwards (also -5 degree rotation)

[Hard]

  1. You should look to DS wherever possible to help with reading and neatness:
    1. 00:15:601 (1,2) - You should move these further away
    2. 00:27:248 (1,2,3,4) - Make sure these are spaced out the same amount visually
    3. 00:31:307 (1) - Same with this slider with the previous 3 sliders.
    4. 00:33:777 (2,3,1) - and so on. You should go through the map and adjust wherever you can
  2. 00:05:013 (2) - perhaps it's better to split this into 1/2 + 1/1. It'll emphasize the piano a bit better. Feel free to move around the previous (1) slider to make your patterning if you make this change
  3. 00:17:366 (1,2) - A better rhythm might be circle + 1/1, to get two active hits on the drum and to make it more dense and thus smoother
  4. 00:24:424 (1,2,1,2) - This is probably too hard. Maybe uh you could try something like this or some other pattern (the example is 30 degree rotations by the way)
  5. 00:52:660 (1,2) - watch the distance. Maybe try something like this (note I change the red (1) slider as well just for different flow)
We'll leave it at that for now

[rhythmv2]
I'm assuming this is the rhythm for Normal xP
  1. 00:11:719 (1,2) - You should merge these into a single 3/2 reverse slider. It'll sound smoother hitting the note on the red tick
  2. 00:17:013 (4,1) - You should also merge these into a 3/2 slider. Making the strong note a slider is better for emphasis + you don't need to emphasize the sound at 00:17:366 - as much
  3. 00:19:836 (2) - This would also work better as a slider. This time though, you should only make it 1/1 and leave the note at 00:20:366 (1) -. It'll feel good for variety :)
  4. 00:22:660 (2) - Also consider extending this to a 1/1 slider
  5. 00:28:307 (2) - I think it's better to move this 1/2 earlier. Also maybe consider making it into a 1/1 slider
  6. 00:30:072 (1,2,3,1) - hmm.. rhythm could get needlessly complicated here. Might be better to cut our losses by mapping the entire piano with a single slider https://puu.sh/wc52H/ae4d6a156c.png (and starting the following blue slider 1/2 later)
  7. 00:35:719 (1,2) - better to merge as 3/2 reverse
I need to talk to you in-game about the chorus, and just in general before you start mapping the normal. hit me up when you can :)
Frostings
Don't forget to add hitsounds to your diffs

[Normal]
AR -> 5. It'll fit better with the dense patterns you have
Just a heads up: I'm really sorry and should've seen this coming, but the SV you use on the chorus is a little on the fast side. It IS fine the way it is now, and would probably be a hassle to change it. It's not that big of a deal, but I'm just letting you know, since you might get comments about it. Usually for choruses in lower diffs especially I use the same SV but make the rhythm or patterns harder
  1. 01:28:130 (1,2) - might be better to delete the circle, move the slider back 1/2 and make it a reverse. Maybe that's easier to play? I'm actually not sure
  2. 00:25:483 (1) - Drop NC. It's unnecessary
  3. 00:37:130 (1,2,1) - Swap these three NCs. It's better to not have NC on lead-outs and a NC on a lead-in
  4. 00:55:307 (3,1) - Swap these. It's better to not NC on stack

[Hard]
Visual Distance
You should look to maintain equal visual distance between your objects to make your map appear cleaner overall. I'm just gonna mention the major ones. The others aren't really that important
  1. 00:55:130 (4,1,2,3) -
  2. 01:05:366 (1,2,3,4,1) -
Slider curvature
Slider curvature is good to structure your patterns. But after a certain curvature threshold, your sliders begin to create their own structure, rather than working together with other sliders i.e. too curvy = draw too much attention to themselves. You should look to decrease the curvature of the following sliders for these reasons:
  1. 00:08:895 (1,1) -
  2. 00:27:248 (1,2,3,4) -
---
  1. 00:10:307 (1) - I think you can drop NC here to make the symmetry stand out more
  2. 00:25:483 (1) - drop NC for better pattern recognition
  3. 00:37:130 (1,2,1) - you should toggle these three NCs for the same reason as Normal (stack and lead-in)
  4. 00:59:013 (1) - Drop NC
  5. 01:02:542 (5,1) - Swap NC for downbeat

From my modding queue:

TL;DR Overall just watch out for inconsistent spacing and slidershapes
but probably read the mod anyway

Normal
00:27:248 (1,2) - The spacing is very small for such a large gap in the music
00:28:660 (1,2,1) - ^
00:41:189 (3,1) - These should probably be stacked like you did with 00:38:366 (1,2)
00:48:248 (3,1) - ^
00:49:660 (3,1) - ^
Just in general watch out for overlaps since they are hard to read for new players
00:41:366 (1,2,1) - You were following the drum beat but then switched to vocals, I'd stay to the drum since the vocals are very wierd to play for any noobies
01:21:601 (4,5,1) - Spacing is inconsistent here

Hard
00:36:954 (3,4) - You follow the vocals here but then ignore them in the next bar
00:36:954 (3,4) - They are also very close to the previous slider for such a long gap
00:45:424 (4) - This should probaly be blanketed with 00:45:601 (1), which would also fix the inconsistent spacing there
00:58:836 (2) - ^ but with 00:59:013 (3)
01:00:072 (2) - This should probably be farther away from the last note since it looks like a 1/4 gap instead of a 1/2 gap
01:16:659 (1,2) - Feels wierd that there's nothing in between here since both the violin and the vocals are doing stuff
01:27:601 (4,1) - Not sure why it has the same spacing as 01:27:248 (3,4), i'd put them closer together

Insane
00:09:424 (2,3) - These should probably be blanketed with 00:08:895 (1)
00:10:836 (2,3) - ^
Slider shapes are inconsistent, probably copy + paste to make ones in the same section look the same, then just rotate and flip
00:22:130 (4) - Not sure what this is following since its just another drawn out chord like 00:21:601 (3)
00:24:424 (1) - These jumps feel very haphazardly placed, I'd copy paste the first 3 then rotate them
00:31:307 (1) - This probably shouldn't be drawn out so long, since both the piano and the vocals are doing stuff in the middle of it
00:37:130 (1) - ^ but this time its just the vocals doing sutff, i'd cahnge it to something like you have here 00:37:660 (2)
00:57:954 (4,1,1,1,1) - The intensity is increasing here but the spacing stays the same
01:28:307 (1,1,1) - ^ the sliders probably shouldnt decrease when the intensity increases

TL;DR Overall just watch out for inconsistent spacing and slidershapes
but probably read the mod anyway

Normal
00:27:248 (1,2) - The spacing is very small for such a large gap in the music adjusted a bit
00:28:660 (1,2,1) - ^
00:41:189 (3,1) - These should probably be stacked like you did with 00:38:366 (1,2) these 1/2s overlap, so i didnt stack them. 00:38:366 (1,2) was different
00:48:248 (3,1) - ^

01:21:601 (4,5,1) - Spacing is inconsistent here its not, because of the sv change on 1

Hard

00:58:836 (2) - ^ but with 00:59:013 (3)
01:00:072 (2) - This should probably be farther away from the last note since it looks like a 1/4 gap instead of a 1/2 gap it doesnt
01:16:659 (1,2) - Feels wierd that there's nothing in between here since both the violin and the vocals are doing stuff for intensity control
01:27:601 (4,1) - Not sure why it has the same spacing as 01:27:248 (3,4), i'd put them closer together its fine

00:24:424 (1) - These jumps feel very haphazardly placed, I'd copy paste the first 3 then rotate them each one gets bigger because it grows more intense
00:31:307 (1) - This probably shouldn't be drawn out so long, since both the piano and the vocals are doing stuff in the middle of it starts on 'wo,' ends on 'hai'

dang frostings modded your map so hard that i couldn't find much to point out xd

i think it would be alright if you would have "bakemonogatari" in the tags, since this is related to that anime.

don't forget about combo colours!

[insane]
00:13:130 (1,2,5) - ugly overlap ;w;

00:15:601 (3) - won't it be better for this to be a 1/4 stream to increase emphasis on the violin?

00:22:130 (4) - ^ (but you're emphasizing drums here, so it would be much more important for this to be a 1/4 stream)

00:24:424 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - try not to let your jumps overlap too much (unless the overlap is perfect), a cluster like this 00:24:601 (2,2,1,1) - would be easily fixed by just spacing them away from each other.

00:26:542 (1,2) - it's okay to use 1/4 sliders here though, the violin is going down in scale as it adds emphasis onto 00:27:248 (1) - upon being clicked.

00:58:307 (1,1,1,1) - why are there NC's? nothing has changed, and you could use use 1/2 circle jumps instead since it adds buildup for the kiai part.

01:28:307 (1,1,1) - ^ (it would greatly emphasize the ending since the ending is a strong beat itself.)

[normal]
you never change SV (slider velocity) in normal, it just isn't right.

your ds has to be consistent, just because it doesn't show up in aimod doesn't mean all ds is perfect. this for example 00:08:189 (2,1) - has 0.88 ds between it while the rest of the notes have 1.0 here are a few ds issues i pointed out (either too far or too close)

00:20:366 (2,3) - 0.94 ds

00:27:248 (1,2) - 1.15 ds

00:28:130 (2,1) - 0.91 ds

00:38:366 (1,2) - not sure about this one, because stacks aren't recommended in lower diffs. also the fact it's tapping 1/2 doesn't feel right, but i see a lot of other normal diffs do this, so it's up to you if you want to change it.

00:38:542 (2,3) - 0.87

00:42:777 (1,2) - 0.89
00:43:307 (2,1) - ^

00:48:248 (3,1) - 1.08

00:57:601 (2) - ds issue between prev and next note

and a ton of other ds issues.

that's all from me now, good luck

add a few more tags like "light novel" and "ed" so that your map could be more accessible for searching.

combo colors

[Normal]

00:11:366 (2,1) - visually it would be nicer if 2 is tilted a bit more downwards to have a better looking entry into 1

00:27:248 (1) - this slider alone looks fairly empty in rhythm, personally it would be better to make it 1/1 with a note on 00:27:777 -

00:37:130 (2) - this note doesn't seem to be mapped to any sound. care to explain?

00:39:248 (3) - ctrl + j would make the patterning look nicer

00:43:307 (2) - don't see the need for a sharper slider while the song is in a fairly calm state, making it a smooth curve would fit better

00:59:719 (1) - a drum sampleset fits a lot better on the head of this slider, normal sampleset sounds very off

01:05:366 (1,2,3,4) - usually for a normal diff you shouldn't have this many consecutive circles. i understand that you are emphasizing the vocals, though the max circles i would put for these gaps is 3.

01:06:777 (1,2,3) - this could be cleaned up a bit, the angle from 2,3 looks a bit eh

01:21:601 (4) - moving this a bit upwards would make the exit from the slider a bit cleaner

[Hard]

00:04:660 (1,2,3) - how come 1 is tilted to the left while 2,3 are to the right? should they all be the same?

00:18:777 (1,2) - align these 2 more like this, https://puu.sh/wlpXf/de3dd5807c.jpg

01:08:719 (2,3) - the distance between these objects is unecessarily high, also i think ctrl + g the rhythm would be better

there's not much for me to say on this diff! good job!

[Insane]

00:39:866 - missing a note here

00:49:836 (3) - instead of making this just a circle make it a 1/2 slider

00:58:307 (1,1,1,1) - why is the last 1 different than the others? wouldn't it be cool to have them the same direction?

01:05:366 (1,2,3,4) - emphasize the vocals in 2,3,4 by not making them the same as 1

01:11:366 (2,3,4) - switch the arrangement of these sliders

that's all I have to say! good job and good luck on this mapset!

00:13:130 (1,2,5) - overlap xd
00:15:601 (3) - stacked stream would be better imo
00:16:483 (2) - plz follow flow of sliders
00:18:248 (4) - here actually two notes would work much better, the violin is so strong to be ignored
00:21:601 (3,4) - follow flow
00:26:013 (1,2,3) - for this one, you have different angles for the previous ▲, why at the end u kept the same, and i think increasing spacing for each ▲ would work better.
00:26:895 (2) - move closer https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8361912
00:28:130 (3,3) - plz generalize where u use sliders where u use notes. like for the first one, its vocals. then the second one is piano notes.
00:34:836 (2) - lower spacing- calm section.
00:36:248 (2,3,4,5) - i dont get this.

00:13:130 (1,2,5) - overlap xd yeah fixed
00:15:601 (3) - stacked stream would be better imo stated previously, i won't have a stream
00:16:483 (2) - plz follow flow of sliders not sure what you mean by flow, as it can go a lot of ways; 1 is different because of the heavy drum sound, it serves as a flowbreak while 2 & 3 are just regular
00:18:248 (4) - here actually two notes would work much better, the violin is so strong to be ignored its not ignored, 4 is slider because the ending decreases in volume for the next heavy sound at 00:18:777 -
00:21:601 (3,4) - follow flow awkward to play
00:26:013 (1,2,3) - for this one, you have different angles for the previous ▲, why at the end u kept the same, and i think increasing spacing for each ▲ would work better. spacing is increasing, all 4 are rotating
00:26:895 (2) - move closer https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8361912 did by a bit, but not that much
00:28:130 (3,3) - plz generalize where u use sliders where u use notes. like for the first one, its vocals. then the second one is piano notes. they are both following the music, there wasnt a reason for me to just put circle in for something without a big difference in intensity
00:34:836 (2) - lower spacing- calm section. its fine
00:36:248 (2,3,4,5) - i dont get this. it follows the vocal, and the two piano on 2 4
00:37:130 (1,2) - blanket sorry, i dont see a point in blanketing
00:40:836 (5,6) - blanket lel no thanks
00:53:895 (1,2) - this is ugly, plz follow flow its flowing upwards
00:54:954 (6) - why a slider here? light drum if you listen carefully

00:04:660 (1,2,3) - i would allign this up in a straight line, with follow point on, it looks weird
00:22:130 (4) - a whole beat of buzz slider isnt usually used and theres no sound supporting it so i suggest changing this to a beat slider
00:24:424 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - i would copy+paste from one of these and rotate it by 20degree instead of this randomly placed hitnotes
00:31:660 - you skipped a sound here
00:39:866 - could have been a note here (hi hat sound)
00:42:689 - ^
00:45:513 - ^
00:58:307 (1,1,1,1) - why dont you just copy+paste this and scale it down?
00:59:719 (1) - this should be emphasized more

I really can't find anything wrong, so I'm gonna talk about what you did right and why it's so successful with a couple things I did spot. Don't wanna come off as lazy!

Normal
00:08:895 (1,2) - Love the rhythm change to accentuate the change in the song. Great way to do this without making it it too hard, too.
00:13:130 (2) - Slider Art <3
00:27:248 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - Love the slowjam for the slowpart. Really brings out the music without being too difficult of a slowjam, a common problem on normals
00:38:366 (1,2) - ...and then the strong lead in to the build up with the first double!
01:20:895 (4,5,6,1) - the combo change and jump distance change perfectly highlights the melody change

Hard
00:03:248 (1,2,1,2,3) - I like the way you highlight the more curved tone of mukou and kimi with curved sliders, and emphasize the more stable pitch of the no with straight sliders. Especially with the rhythm chosen, this stands out.
00:37:307 - I love how you accentuate the wind down with a micro pause.
00:45:248 (3,4,1) - I love how the bigger jump is on the strong beat, not only flowing well but highlighting the music. (Same thing a bunch of times like 00:49:483 (4,5,1) )
00:55:483 (1,2,3) - Highlighting the slowdown with a slowed down rhythm with symmetrical jumps is brilliant
Suggestion: 00:59:542 (4,1,2) - change the new combo to 2. I do love the emphasis on the downbeat and strong beat with a rhythm change though.

Insane
This one has some problems.

00:05:542 (5,6) - all the notes are the same light piano, so why does this one have both distance and slider emphasis? Just because it's last doesn't seem like a good justification.
00:19:836 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - These jumps are forced. None of these beats are accentuated enough to justify the difference between 2,3 and 3,4
00:24:424 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - This is done perfectly. Love how you highlight the spiral upwards in the music by a spinning triangle jump that scales with the pitch increase.
00:49:483 (1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3,4,5) - This rhythm change is so smooth it could get me into bed
00:58:307 (1,1,1,1) - Love the slider stream and combo bringing out the start of kiai.
01:28:307 (1,1,1) - this structure is just so cool having it dilate down to end the song

Great map! Imo basically ready for rank! :)

None of these beats are accentuated enough to justify the difference between 2,3 and 3,4 1 has a heavy sound (with what every the heck that instrument is xd), the sound repeats on 2, and 3 follows with a light one as well; the drum kicks in on 4, you can hear the triplet sound lightly playing on 5 6 and 7, done in a triangle to transition and for visuals

  1. 00:04:660 (3,4) - I think these would look better facing away from each other maybe?
  2. 01:28:130 (1,2,3) - why didn't you keep the pattern from before? https://puu.sh/wsFPC/2a2c72cb75.png
[Hard]
  1. 00:20:895 (3,1) - Probably better style to have less curvature on these https://puu.sh/wsFVd/99b321efbd.png
  2. 00:27:248 (1,2,3) - You should try to maintain visual distance on all three here https://puu.sh/wsG0C/4046128289.png
  3. 01:05:366 (1,2,3,4) - I know I mention it often but yeah less curvature. It's not really good for structure to curve them so much https://puu.sh/wsG80/7970fc770a.png
  4. 01:23:189 (2) - Same thing
[Insane]
  1. 00:22:130 (4,5) - I wouldn't stack these as the emphasis becomes lost on 5: https://puu.sh/wsGcL/0e456c90e0.png
  2. 00:41:366 (1) - Curvature
  3. 00:43:307 (2,3) - honestly... I would just press ctrl+J. Staggering the sliders is perhaps better than keeping them in line.
  4. 00:46:660 (3) - Maybe similar thing here https://puu.sh/wsGn0/ce67ffe40c.png
  5. 01:03:954 (3,4,5) - looks a bit weird. I was thinking maybe you could map it like this https://puu.sh/wsH0L/46275e1a2d.png , but perhaps that doesn't really fit the style. Maybe a bigger change like this might work https://puu.sh/wsGX7/1553d8ed5a.png . For the second suggestion the overlap with the next notes shouldn't be a big issue
  6. 01:13:130 (3,4,5) - You should space these out because they're a bit weak. Stacking on 01:12:072 (6) - isn't as important as the emphasis gained. https://puu.sh/wsHbs/46f318308f.png

Hey! For M4M. Great map, and I can tell you've put in a lot of thoughts into it :'D
Overall, the main things that can improve are volume, hitsound, and spacing changes (DS). I think you need to find a custom hitclap and hitwhistle. The standard ones you use give not enough feedback. So..steal from someone!! /me runs

Mod

    This applies to all difficulties.
  1. 00:01:483 - From this point, the vocals get louder...try adding green lines with gradual volume increase:
    30% at 00:01:483 -
    35% at 00:02:189 -
    40% at 00:02:895 -
  2. 00:03:248 - From here, I could barely hear anything. Try 45%. You could also add more whistles wherever the piano is strong, like 00:05:189 (3) - 00:05:719 -
  3. 00:03:248 - hitfinish?
  4. 00:15:601 - hitclap? (with a good custom hitsounding)
  5. 00:27:248 - 00:38:366 - weak volume here too. Anything below 40% sounds weak

    [Normal]
Base SV of 1.4 is too fast. 1.1 or 1.2 is better
SV change is not recommended in Easy/Normal, as newbies are not used to these yet. They think same gap in rhythm = same DS. Try using 1.00x religiously

00:08:807 - to 00:12:866 - flow seems weird and could get some improvement
  6. 00:04:660 (3,4) - arrange like this?
  7. 00:08:895 (1,2,3) - arrange like this?
  8. 00:11:366 (4,1) - arrange like this?
  9. 00:29:542 (4) - Change to straight slider? It doesn't look good.
  10. 00:38:366 (1) - 00:55:307 (1) - unstack to be consistent with other 1/2 parts you mapped to
  11. 00:41:189 (6,1) - feels cramped, so I would spread these out a bit more https://puu.sh/wtyoX.png
  12. 00:42:777 (2,1) - might be confusing to the newbies, as these are the same exact sliders but longer
  13. 01:06:777 (1,2,3) - doesn't look good
  14. 01:21:954 (6,1) - make it evenly spaced out! I think it's because of the SV change you use haha. Using 1.00x would fix it

    [Hard]
  15. 00:07:483 (1,2,1,2) - Same sound, but DS change is inconsistent. Swap positions of 00:07:483 (1,2) -, and Ctrl+G 00:08:895 (1) -
  16. 00:44:189 (1,2) - vs. 00:45:601 (1,2) - Same problem as above
  17. 00:49:836 (1) - There is a good tone change here, so a good place to add jump
  18. 01:16:836 - add note? Vocal is very strong here o.o

    [Insane]
SV 1.4 again?? o.o I would look into other ranked maps of similar BPM and make changes to SV, OD, CS, HP drain rate and such accordingly.
  19. 00:05:189 (3,4) - The sound is pretty strong at (3). I would move (3) to somewhere like 220,184
  20. 00:20:366 (2,3,4,5) - I like c:
  21. 00:49:836 (3) - Increase DS, there's a huge sound here o.o
  22. 00:50:542 (2) - here too...
  23. 00:51:424 (2,3) - change positions, as 00:51:424 (2) - needs more emphasis
  24. 00:57:248 (2) - you get the idea by now--DS needs emphasis
  25. 01:15:072 (1,2,3) - 01:15:072 (1,2,3) - 01:15:866 - 01:17:277 - add triplet, as there is a prominent drum sound here. 00:54:601 (3,4,5) - you did so here
  26. 01:26:542 (1,2,3,4) - I would remap this part similar to 01:23:719 (1,2,3,4,5,6) -
  27. 01:28:307 (1,1,1) - the music gets intense, but SV change contradicts it. I would reverse the SV change

If you want and Easy GD, poke me--I can whip it up quick XD

SV 1.4 again?? o.o I would look into other ranked maps of similar BPM and make changes to SV, OD, CS, HP drain rate and such accordingly. i think this is fine for an insane
  19. 00:05:189 (3,4) - The sound is pretty strong at (3). I would move (3) to somewhere like 220,184 sure
  20. 00:20:366 (2,3,4,5) - I like c: >-<
  21. 00:49:836 (3) - Increase DS, there's a huge sound here o.o the patterns and things around it should already give emphasizes
  22. 00:50:542 (2) - here too... ^
  23. 00:51:424 (2,3) - change positions, as 00:51:424 (2) - needs more emphasis
  24. 00:57:248 (2) - you get the idea by now--DS needs emphasis will be kept in mind, might change later but for now it'll stay the same
  25. 01:15:072 (1,2,3) - 01:15:072 (1,2,3) - 01:15:866 - 01:17:277 - add triplet, as there is a prominent drum sound here. 00:54:601 (3,4,5) - you did so here doing so would destroy the pattern
  26. 01:26:542 (1,2,3,4) - I would remap this part similar to 01:23:719 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - slowly coming to a calm end
  27. 01:28:307 (1,1,1) - the music gets intense, but SV change contradicts it. I would reverse the SV change its a dial out D:

If you want and Easy GD, poke me--I can whip it up quick XD thank you for the offer, but i'm going to keep this set as it is c:
hitsound updates will be applied later, thank you for the mod!

hi!!!!! q mod

tbh i feel like the red line should go on 00:03:248 - rather than where you have it now. rn it's ok to have a "pickup note" (or an "anacrusis" for those music experts) before the red line (ex: 00:00:446 (1) - on https://osu.ppy.sh/s/444335). since the spinner isn't really emphasizing anything strong. idk u might wanna ask someone about this i just feel as if it's more appropriate

in:

00:03:248 (1,2) - if ur following vocals on these two notes (assuming since 2 is vocal), u should put a circle on the red line after 2 since it sounds awkward to not click on that sound
00:18:072 (3) - this note should receive more emphasis like you did with 00:16:483 (2) -
00:19:307 (4) - , 00:22:130 (4) - , 00:23:189 (2) - , same as above
00:31:307 (1) - i don't really get what ur trying to follow on this slider. this would emphasize the piano sound on the white tick appropriately
00:50:189 (1,2,1) - ur using the same ds for 1/1 as u do for 1/2, could mess up a player quite a bit
01:28:307 (1,1,1) - why is the sv decreasing? should be increasing since the sound is getting louder

hd;

00:03:777 (2) - same issue as insane
00:36:248 (2) - slider should end on 00:36:777 -
01:16:659 (1) - should make this a slider instead since u have been using constant 1/2 for the whole kiai

nm:
00:26:542 (3) - you could change these to circles since the sound here is different from the other sliders
00:37:130 (2) - 3/4 gaps would be kinda confusing to new players who have been doing 1/1 - 1/2 for most of the map. making this a slider would make it easier for the player to recognize
00:59:719 (3) - sliderend here should be clickable

00:18:072 (3) - this note should receive more emphasis like you did with 00:16:483 (2) - 00:18:072 (3)'s sound is more decreasing, for 00:18:777 (3,4) -
to build up again; theres no need for a flow break

00:19:307 (4) - , 00:22:130 (4) - , 00:23:189 (2) - , same as above
00:31:307 (1) - i don't really get what ur trying to follow on this slider. this would emphasize the piano sound on the white tick appropriately the vocal drowns out the piano sound and is way louder
00:50:189 (1,2,1) - ur using the same ds for 1/1 as u do for 1/2, could mess up a player quite a bit a player this level should be able to determine differences
01:28:307 (1,1,1) - why is the sv decreasing? should be increasing since the sound is getting louder spacing isnt the only way to emphasize a increase in sound, by dialing sv up its a way of showing the intensity as well

hd;

00:03:777 (2) - same issue as insane
00:36:248 (2) - slider should end on 00:36:777 - 00:36:777 - has a different sound, 00:36:248 (2) - is mapped to tete
01:16:659 (1) - should make this a slider instead since u have been using constant 1/2 for the whole kiai answered in many previous mods zzzz

nm:
00:26:542 (3) - you could change these to circles since the sound here is different from the other sliders unnecessary, there isnt too much of a different enough to make it different. 1 2 and 3 are all increasing in intensity /b]
00:37:130 (2) - 3/4 gaps would be kinda confusing to new players who have been doing 1/1 - 1/2 for most of the map. making this a slider would make it easier for the player to recognize [b]theres no music to map to, distance snap should be enough for players to realize. 1 and 2 are stacked for readability so its okay

00:59:719 (3) - sliderend here should be clickable no?? theres no sound after that that can be mapped to without being weird

[General]
  1. some of the hitsound volumes are really low. i don't recommend using hitsound volumes below 35% for a song like this
  2. 00:38:542 - auto finish is fine here since there's a cymbal crash; why is this a drum finish?
  3. 00:48:601 - you can place a clap here for the snare
  4. 00:48:954 - 00:49:042 - hitsound these
  5. 00:51:424 - clap here
  6. 00:53:895 - 00:54:248 - 00:54:601 - 00:54:689 - 00:54:777 - 00:54:954 - you ignore so many drum sounds please don't do this
  7. 01:06:777 - can place a finish here
  8. there are a lot more spots where hitsounding could use more work; this is only a foundation for you to work off of. i really do think hitsounding could use a bit of a overhaul cause it's really scarce
[Normal]
  1. 00:16:660 (3) - feels a bit out of place, and is also inconsistent with what you did at 00:18:777 (1) - which is essentially the same sound. maybe remove this circle?
  2. 00:26:542 (3,1) - technically this isn't properly distance snapped, since the slider velocity change actually changes the values. not really a big deal, but i figured you could space this out a bit more
  3. 00:30:601 (2) - i'd consider shortening this to the white tick at 00:31:130 - since it's a bit more emphasized
  4. 00:37:130 (2) - sound here is incredibly quiet and feels weird to have it as a clickable object, since the instruments cuts here. maybe you can try changing 00:35:719 (1,2) - into something like this?
  5. 01:05:366 (4,5,6,7,1) - can you make this a proper pentagon thanks
[Hard]
  1. 00:04:660 (1,2) - i'd consider making these two parallel and then have 00:05:366 (3) - change direction in order to give it more emphasis
  2. 00:36:248 (2,3,4) - i'd reconsider the rhythm here; you abruptly switch from piano to vocals and it doesn't really mesh that well here. similarly to what i mentioned in Normal, i think 00:37:130 (4) - would work better if it was on a slider end since this is where the instruments die out. why not try placing a 1/1 slider at 00:36:777 - ?
  3. 00:39:248 (3,4,1) - 00:40:660 (2,3,1) - proper equilateral triangles please they're not that hard to make lol
  4. 00:49:660 (5,1) - spacing from 5->1 could be a bit more higher in order to emphasize the cymbals and change in tone
  5. 01:16:659 (1,2) - the spacing for this 1/1 doesn't really feel right, since it's extremely similar in spacing to other previous patterns you used in the kiai, like 01:14:189 (2,3) - . why not try a rhythm like this?
[Insane]
  1. 00:15:601 (3,1) - spacing here is really high for 1/4 snap distance. i'm assuming this was unintentional and that (1) was meant to be Ctrl + G'd
  2. i don't really mind some of the additive triples since they're used to emphasize the downbeats, but 00:22:307 (5) - really doesn't belong. the music doesn't place any emphasis on the blue ticks here
  3. 00:27:248 (1) - i'd consider shortening this to the white tick at 00:27:601 - and adding a circle on the red tick 00:27:777 - . your rhythm choice doesn't really make sense here since it appears that you want to place emphasis on the piano notes
  4. 00:31:307 (1) - i'd also change the rhythm for the slider here for the same reason above
  5. 00:37:130 (1) - if you're going to switch to vocals because the piano gets cut off, i expect you to follow the vocals more closely. otherwise i'd consider what you did for the other two diffs and just cut it off at the downbeat
  6. 00:39:866 - 00:42:689 - 00:44:101 - 01:13:042 - 01:14:454 - 01:15:866 - 01:17:277 - so you're willing to map additive triples but completely ignore these triples that are actually in the music? ok then.
  7. 00:49:836 (3,1) - swap NCs
  8. 00:58:307 (1) - the buildup would work much more smoothly if this was a circle instead of a slider; since there's no sound on the red tick in this one instance, associating it with 00:58:660 (1,1,1) - which do have sounds on the red ticks makes it feel inconsistent and throws off the whole pattern
  9. 01:00:072 (2,3) - i'd space this out more; on first glance it looks extremely similar to 01:00:777 (3,4) - since it appears to be mirrored, even though it really isn't. i'm worried that it'll cause some minor reading issues
  10. 01:07:483 (3,4,5) - triple here doesn't sound right; there's no audible sound on the blue tick and additive triples don't work here because the red tick doesn't need to be emphasized
  11. 01:21:601 (3) - you're really going to ignore the triples in the drum here?
the map has some potential, but too many missing hitsounds and the undermapping/overmapping of certain parts of the song is really holding the mapset back. get some more mods and try calling me back in a few weeks time.

00:15:954 (1) - An increase in SV would be nice for this section. At the moment it feels lackluster given that it uses the same low SV as the previous calmer section. An SV similar to the kiai would be more fitting imo. About 1.2-1.3 ~

01:28:307 (1,1,1) - This feels slightly lackluster too, the stacking of objects just creates a very anticlimatic ending when it music gets increasingly more emphatic

changes from gary's mod:
removed 00:32:719 (4) - and made changes for 01:00:072 (2) - in hard and insane, (extended them and removed notes)

About 1.2-1.3 ~ its not as intense as the kiai in my opinion, so 1.2 isnt really needed; the more intense rhythm and spacing even should make up for it

Anyways the main point is that the speed of which your cursor moves for sliders is the exact same of the earlier section and just increasing spacing and rhythm density doesn't feel suffice imho

01:28:307 (1,1,1) - This feels slightly lackluster too, the stacking of objects just creates a very anticlimatic ending when it music gets increasingly more emphatic i've gotten so many other mods saying the same and im really considering changing it, but i still like the way its dialing down the song, i'll wait for more opinions from others for it :| If you're really adamant on changing the rhythm or pattern would you consider changing the spacing? The pattern overall is easier than your hard diff. Also one thing I would recommend you do to at least is to swap the SVs around; the music get's more climatic from the start to end but your SVs go from fast to slow.

  1. 00:05:013 (2,3,4,5,6) - to me this kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in this section. The spacing is significantly higher than the rest of the section and I think the increase rhythm density would have been enough. If you don't want to change it then I recommend upping the spacing of 00:06:072 (1,2,3) so it doesn't feel so out of place
  2. 00:15:601 (3) - I got to agree with doormat here tbh. Just to add something he didn't bring up, the spacing is so big that it is easily misread as a single reverse slider, not something you really want
  3. 00:21:424 (1,2) - Listening to this at full speed this did actually sound off to me. After listening to it a few times at 25% I believe the drums to be 1/3 https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8726104 (ignore object placements) these are where the drum sounds land from what I can tell. Because of this I would suggest this rhythm or something similar as the transition from 1/4 to 1/3 wouldn't be intuitive if you mapped the entire thing as circles https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8726124 again ignore object placements)
  4. 00:22:307 (3) - I kind of agree with doormat on this too. I would suggest this rhythm https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8726142 as it would fit in with the rhythm you've been using for the entire section with the way you've had triplets on the downbeat.
  5. 00:24:424 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - I just wanted to point out that this is the hardest part of the map because you didn't add jumps in at 00:58:660 (1,1,1) - or 01:28:307 (1,1,1)
  6. 00:37:130 (1,2,3) - I personally would prefer if you deleted this and had this part empty like the hard diff. Before this part the rhythm naturally follows the piano so when it cuts out it feels natural for you to want to take a break in the map, imo at least. Also it should be pointed out that you even skipped the vocal at 00:36:954 so the transition is awkward too.
  7. 00:49:836 (3,1,2) - Would suggest using same-ish spacing for all of these objects as they are all of similar intensity.
  8. 00:51:072 - This sound here is part of the rhythm 00:51:248 (1,2,3) - within the song so it feels empty to skip over it. Also the spacing 00:50:542 (2,1,2) is a bit weird as 00:50:542 (2,1) have a 1/1 beat apart where as the rest of the pattern 00:51:248 (1,2,3,4,5) uses the same spacing and they are 1/2 a beat apart
  9. 00:58:307 (1) - This would be one of those times where I suggest increasing the spacing a lot for a nice emphasis.

Hard
  1. 00:15:601 (1) - This entire section feels a bit like I would map it in a normal tbh :v . The spacing and SVs are so similar to the sections before and after it that when you transition over to them it doesn't feel like you're playing anything different. Also it would be nice to map some of the drum triplets here and there. This kinda goes for the entire map tbh
  2. 00:35:719 (1,2,3,4) - The structure of this pattern make it very easy to misread 00:36:954 (3,4) because the pattern suggests that 3 will be a 1/2 beat.

Well that's all the energy I have for today, I hope this mod was of use to you ~

Insane
  1. 00:05:013 (2,3,4,5,6) - to me this kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in this section. The spacing is significantly higher than the rest of the section and I think the increase rhythm density would have been enough. If you don't want to change it then I recommend upping the spacing of 00:06:072 (1,2,3) so it doesn't feel so out of place did by a bit
  2. 00:15:601 (3) - I got to agree with doormat here tbh.
Because of this I would suggest this rhythm or something similar as the transition from 1/4 to 1/3 wouldn't be intuitive if you mapped the entire thing as circles https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8726124 again ignore object placements) i dont really hear any 1/3s.. i looked through the ranked version as well, there are no 1/3s
  4. 00:22:307 (3) - I kind of agree with doormat on this too. I would suggest this rhythm https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8726142 as it would fit in with the rhythm you've been using for the entire section with the way you've had triplets on the downbeat. changed; but might have to rework because of 00:15:601 (3) -

some rhythm was changed & added some triplet from doormat's mod as well as adjusted 00:53:895 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - 's positioning

[Normal]
  1. 00:31:483 (3) - move this back 1/2 so it follows the vocals. Also you should fix the spacing in this section, it suddenly changes from 1.1 to 1.0 (it should remain 1.1)
  2. 00:55:307 (1) - move this back 1/2, I think following the drums is better (make sure you change NC if you do)
[Hard]
  1. 01:19:483 (1,2,1) - spacing is kinda weird
  2. 01:23:719 (1,2,1) - Transition to the third slider is kinda wild
