I've just noticed that views tend to go up by 1 when I click a thread I've already seen for the first time in a while, even if I just refreshed the forum page. The reason OT doesn't count is that it was supposed to be where the spammy stuff is but now there's Surveys and FG and OT isn't really spammy (aside from occasional threads), just active.
And yeah it's likely never going to happen but we can pretend
