Summer Game Fest thread

Should have made this thread yesterday but 24h cooldown

at the time of writing the event is only halfway done


so yeah, anyone following it?, any interesting games shown?, personally, my steam wishlist is expanding rapidly, lots of new games by a lot of indie creators I really like

I never watch these honestly. I drop by to check if they're giving away anything and usually leave after finding out they aren't.

I don't really see how the steam sale has anything to do with this?, none of the games announced are out, you can't spend money on them

i guess a tl;dr of the event since it was kinda mid and not much good stuff got revealed and is more focused on indie games which is fine and cool but eh, i dont really care..


1. Metaphor gameplay reveal, basically Persona 6 but with some pokemon catching elements

2. Civ VII reveal

3. Valorant coming to console

4. Black myth wukong release date revealed, coming in August this year (looks cool)

5. as stated above, Among us tv show and an actual Killer bean game coming soon

6. Palworld big japan update

7. Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay (not a fan but looks cool)

8.



now this is epic

oh yeah COD Black ops 6 reveal an hour after this post, with perhaps the next "No russians" mission

currently, my wishlist looks like this

-Marin of the strange (new game by the devs of oneshot)
-CIV VII (TBH I hate how CIV is monetized but I will probably pirate it or something)
-Cairn (new game by the devs of furi)
-Tenjutsu (New roguelike by the designer of Dead Cells)
-Possesors (New game by the creator of hyper light drifter)
-Wanderstop (New game by the guy that made the stanley parable and the beginners guide)
-Killer bean the videogame
-Neva (New game by the creators of Gris)

also, we got an update on hyper light breaker, another game i'm pretty excited for

anyways, this has officially finished, there really wasn't anything too noteworthy for me in the ubisoft or xbox conference, the pc gamer one announced streets of rogue 2 which sounds pretty good
