mhm! dave is like... more motherly bc tristan never rlly got to meet his mom bc of her and dave divorcing (she was a chaos god and was very cruel to dave and tristan, so dave finally left her and got with bambi who is treating him right [just a bit of my au's lore for ya]), and bambi's just the chill dad of the group! tristan is a bit more on the goober side, but he's still pretty chill! now bandu is full on goober, just so dang silly that he radiates a silly aura everywhere he goes which lightens up everyone else's mood! expunged is quite shy and kept to themself, but they still are a fun person! just... a bit nervous to talk to others :> (the only ones they feel fully comfortable talking to are dave, bambi, tristan, bandu, bendu and kandi <3)
also, yeah, expunged, bandu, bendu and kandi do all share a room lol <3

i understand where you're coming from with the true/canon!versions too haha

ohhh, ah that's so bittersweet :'O mostly sweet bc the fam is much cozier and healthier now but like, that makes lots of sense... bambi being chill is a very very big improvement <3 bandu's description though i'm deadddd

i guess that's what makes them fun though! like sometimes being incredibly self-indulgently silly (as artists thru our art and the characters in our lore) is a necessary part of a world for so many people. i doubt he as a character (or this particular culture of art by extension) reaches very many people outside of those who are specifically open to it but it's a precious feature of different creative communities imo

also! ngl i think this forum/subforum is a place where you'll see the effects of what it's like for vastly different cultural perspectives to intersect/conflict, and i'm pretty sure some denizens/dwellers/lurkers out there would be weary or detached about the specific things you're sincere about. personally it's not "too much" for me specifically, but i would say it can look super jarringly saccharine in a place that can be kind of generally ironic/sarcastic, though off-topic is usually very chill otherwise and people don't normally take things very seriously
