Gen10 Description Change

As well all should know, the 10th Generation has come to an end!

We need to update the description, please use this thread to discuss what you believe the 10th Generation represents, and your personal experiences with its people.

This will help greatly in the creation of an accurate description.

Gen 10 is way too short. Dont end it. Nothing have changed nor did the people. Even I will say gen 9 and gen10 should be same

the only person from that gen i've interacted with (beyond public threads/public discords) is anaxii and even then i don't feel like we've talked a lot
don't have much to say besides the fact that this gen seems to lean towards the chill side and not the toxic side (which is uh, a bit different compared to some earlier gens lol)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Idk to me it kinda fitted the description thing like about a month ago or so...

But now it feels a bit pointless...?

Also I think we'll have to extend gen 10 for little bit, until May or June 2024 and then gen 11 would exist in my eyes.

I think there's enough Gen 10 stuff that I have seen or even forgot about so far...

gen 10 is basically when ot had a quality spike for a while, and somehow this quality spike sorta raised the bar in terms of quality. at least i think idk

It was never really about time. We COULD extend it, but I'm not sure if that will do anything (ie, if we'll actually get more denizens).

Personally speaking I could very well differentiate Gen 9, from Gen 10, potentially from Gen 11.

It's as simple as Gen9 = Abraker, Gen10 = No Abraker + 3 overlords, Gen 11 = Stefan.
Also, Gen9 post culture was more focused on quality whilst Gen10 kinda just did what they want, with the freedoms of things not really getting locked.
Now that we've pretty much covered everyone who's actually contributed in a memorable way to Gen10, and the Generation itself is pretty big, it should be fine to close it.

This may be in the hands of the next parliament, if they want to revert the creation of the next generation or not.

Except Stefan's revival was a VERY recent thing, so it doesnt encapsulate Gen10 at all.

I disagree a lot here. Abraker for a generation change is a lot if you consider factor which deny the change. Look at gen-9 and gen-10 denizens. If you look at when they joined OT!, The difference is hardly a lot. Except karmine who joined OT! very back. There is no difference greater than like 7months. Both gen does not even have generation gap just like how gen-9 and gen-8 have. I will make a graph for you

gen 10 as a whole is not needed. This is the point where gen 10 should exist. even now there are only few new people

Do note that I'm not the one who made Gen10, I'm just trying to justify its existence. The real reasons for its creation is only known by Abraker himself.

So for me:

I dont think we are really at the end of gen 10, i prefer extending it a bit more and see what else can happne


Cause while the arrival of Stevan was a big deal, its not yet worthy of it being a separate gen, or rather for me and i dont want it to be all just relied on which overlord leaves or arrives for a gen to happen.

so i would just wait and see what stefan or even any other denizens can cook up, perhaps like reviving roleplay or stefan causing the lock-apocalypse and such

as for the description, one thing i will say is that, this gen does feel almost like Gen 7, albiet with less roleplaying, less interactions from the government and other political parties and less activity from the OTChronicles, another thing that could be added tho is abraker's dwindling in activity in OT.


As for the merging, this one im not too certain on as i only joined back in the middle of Gen 10

Though i dont really like the idea of merging gen 10 to gen 9 as we are now so far deep into gen 10, that it might cause some confusion, perhaps moving some denizens from gen 10 to gen 9 suggested by kobold would be an good idea, but really for me, im not too sure on this one as again, i joined in the midst of gen 10, so i can only go by my limited observation.



Also a lot of these changes could be made final depending on the upcoming president.

It is an end, is there really anyone who's up for the title now? There's going to be a huge gap between the last addition and the new one, which is exactly why the gen is ending. However, it doesn't really feel like gen 9 and gen 10 were that much different. Sure, in the middle of the gen Corne and me appeared, but that's an event that pretty much solidified the 9-10 generation. It is this event that makes it different from others.

Generations work best when you look back and try to think what was the thing that made this specific gen a separate one. Making a new generation just because something happened doesn't mean anything within the new gen will be different. Looking at the gen 9, none of them feel separate. They and gen 10 are the same, the line is super blurry.

This is the reason why the whole thread need a rework. We are not on the Holy path Abraker sensei have set for us, Someone has sabotaged the great plan of sensei. That person miss guided us and brought us away from sensei Holy path to greatness.
The person is no other than those who have mess with the Holy path and changed it, without craving path to our old lost warriors. I know sensei would not have left the old warriors grave, he would have connected souls of our old hero's if he was the one who changed the holypath. But now its too late. I will bring the change OT! needs. I will guide us through the maze and bring everyone to the Holy Path sensei has chosen for us. Lord Abraker is watching us, we must not disappoint him! I will look for every warrior we have left behind, I will find them and connect their grave to the holy path

Gen 10 was started because those were the first denizens I started to get out of touch with. So Gen 10 = no abraker is the fairest assessment you can make. And to bring this home, I started to become out of touch because Corne became GMT so I didn't need to look over OT all the time. The Gens were always split from my own perspective as a consequence of me making it up

in retrospect this was probably jumping on the bandwagon too fast. Stafan came and went and you guys treated this as entire generational impact. I think latest written generation need to be lagging behind current theoretical for the same reason we can't quite define what makes the 2020's right now but can define the 2010's.

True, though I doubt we'll be getting any more Denizens anytime soon anyway. By the time Denizenship resumes I imagine we will have more substantial reasons for Gen11.
