oh!! the sparkly chimes! those were also really sweet additions in my opinion, they fit so well with the pads <3

Anyways time to give some background on those two songs that you said that were your favorites!
Track 5: AGen - I'll admit it, I honestly didn't really like this song that much while producing it compared to the other songs, and I even considered dropping it from the album entirely. But I needed to make enough songs to put on the album for it be considered as one, so I continued producing it. I don't know if it's just me, but I found some parts of the song kind of overwhelming even for myself (especially in the part where the drum starts producing more extreme stutters and in the pitched down part when the string instrument kicked in). But looking at this review of the song (and just some general self-reflection) made me realize that I might have a small self-doubting problem. Most of the time when I'm producing a song, I keep on having doubts about the song, and how it doesn't really "sound right". But in spite of that I am able to make stuff that people do indeed enjoy, and when I see that there are people out there who really do enjoy my stuff, that feeling of having my songs not be "good enough" gets washed away.
Track 7: THE END OF AN END - The highest BPM song I have made (second highest if you account for my first ever song lol). I personally enjoyed making this song the most, and I think it was the pad sample that I used, very groovy, very awesome. Most of the song (like ~65%) was based off of that one pad sample, and I can see why I did base most of the song off of it! Along with the square wave + triangle wave combo I used too. And this is the first time that I have ever made a song in that key before, and I think it turned out surprisingly amazing!!
Also 8/9 of the songs used an nes sound emulating vst in them in some way. And your favorite song (AGen) being the only one that didn't use it at all!
I just had an idea for a very cringe thread (but it's surprisingly high quality), maybe I can have the title for the most cringe thread in history, or at least the most cringe in the last 3 years. Unfortunately, I need a very specific opportunity for this. If I remember by then, the thread could be released in April or later. If it happens, it will be in my top 5 best threads I've ever created, I think.

I use it so often that I was pretty sure it wouldn't give a wrong answer in this context. The search tool wouldn't Google it, find the correct answer, and then give the wrong answer. I don't think I need 10 sources to confirm the date the Wii was released (which isn't even important information to me), but ChatGPT searches multiple sources in less than 1 second and gives me a concise and quick answer (although Google is just as quick). Oh, I also use Google to find some information on Reddit. I discovered that if you add "Reddit" at the end of a Google search, it's much easier to find what you want, lol.
I think the only research context in which LLMs are REALLY irreplaceable is when you need to describe something to figure out its name. For example: What's the name of that anime with a generic protagonist who...
I guess I don't get why you made the switch to full AI whenever it just feels like a inferior version of google for those purpouses
it's not about choosing sources, it's not about the number of them either, it's about the way chatgpt processes that information and how inprecise the wording generated may be, it's the translation process that is the problem. Today I used chatgpt to study to have them explain something to me and it did give a very missleading explanation. Something that doesn't happen if you just google itBehrauder wrote:

I usually search on Google when I want to see images or find a website based on a specific image. I also use it to search in an incognito tab "[Anime name] + MAL", then copy the URL that I find and paste it into a regular tab to add the anime to my plan to watch.

Asking it when the Wii was invented (especially with search mode on) is basically as reliable as asking it the result of 1 + 1; you simply doubt it will get that wrong. Now, to use it for studying, I would be very cautious (but it still depends on the context).
Also, making prompts that avoid confirmation bias is always essential.
