my au of the dave and bambi characters <3

✦ "ruby red" (expunged ashbluff)
✦ "green screen" (bandu ashbluff)

parasite au! (i made this au bc of infection aus lol,, you can just call it the ps!au for short <3)

The purple has a good shade to it, 8/10

Dark reds like that one are pretty spooky, too bad it's not Halloween :‎(, 6.5/10

Off-Keremaru magenta, 7.5/10

Emerald greens are nice, especially if they are bright like this one, 8.75/10

Too true too be blue is indeed too true to be blue (it's not saturated enough), 6.75/10

Celestial alien is a strange name, as for the color it is an off-emerald green, which is fine, 6/10

Ruby red is literally just pure red, it's not a different color it's just pure 255,0,0. As for the color itself, I really got to give a big shout out to it being a primary color in both the RYB (Red Yellow Blue) primary colors and RGB (Red Green Blue) primary colors. It is also has the lowest wavelength in the visible light spectrum, meaning it takes a lot less energy to produce. Also I just find pure red really appealing, 10/10 (5/10 name tho)

Green screen is VERY CLOSE to a pure green, and I like that. 9/10

Now onto the schizophrenic colors

Ephren blue is weird, and not that visually appealing, 5/10

Always green grass is an okay emerald green, 7/10

Crimson is good, 7/10

Green katamari is close to a perfect light-green, and I like that. I don't know what the hell a katamari is, let alone a green one. Anyways 8.5/10

yep... the hyperfixation is very extreme now,, but i love them alot :') (kinda like how others are extremely hyperfixated on stuff?? like farfocele with typing,, they're also really fun to draw sooo... yeah)

Slate is okay, since its a pleasantly slightly muted dark blue, 6/10.

Silver is a cooler gray, there isn't much else to say about it. This kind of silver is more vibrant honestly, and I like it, 7/10.

can we take a moment to realize that us english speakers have decided to call those kinds of light gray "silver", out of all of the other solid shiny grey metals that exist, we chose silver????

Bubblegum is a pleasant pink, it isn't too vibrant nor too dull. Also speaking of bubblegum why the hell is it pink, out of all of the colors we could've chosen for this flavor of gum that is already pretty mysterious and weird did we give it a pink color? WHAT PART OF THE FLAVOR MAKES PEOPLE THINK OF THE COLOR PINK??? 7/10

Wine is a nice dark red/pink color, although the color could be a bit darker. 7.5/10

Anyways pure green is cool because it is one of the three colors that make up the RGB additive color model thingy. Not only that but it also means many things that usually are associated with good (like hope and life). Its also seen basically everywhere in plants, if you look at a plant there is a guaranteed chance that it will have green on it. 10/10 (and 10/10 name because of how surprisingly funny it was)

anyways ecru is like a knock-off of white, it reminds me a lot of the walls of an old bare room slowly going into disrepair.
but I still do like it because it's like a calmer version of white, 8/10.

i assume "silver" appeared in-character for historical usage of prominent useful metals that became archetypal armors and coatings-- from bronze to gold, although i suppose it could have been approprate to refer to "silver" armor as being iron or steel... additionally i would imagine "silver" was used as a currency (i know nothing about history, im completely guessing), and the various uses of silver items as decorative and fashionable would continue the trend of it becoming a relevant term of reference... so maybe "silver" came to be referred to as a color in itself by way of that easy relevance to fashion where people might pick out something by their color or coating? and it was simply adopted and established from there on-- "not fixing what isnt broken" might apply...

still, i guess "silver" isnt very cool(?), for me it was just a very colloquial option of reference to what can easily just be a bright and slightly blue-tinted grey-- its a similar problem to certain differences in how people refer to colors like "indigo/purple/lavender/violet" or "teal/turquoise/aquamarine/cyan/azure", but i think i might still sympathize with your thoughts

similarly with bubblegum, i dont really know beyond inferences and impressions and experiences with gum that happened to memorably be colored with a particular vibrant shade of pink-- as though the many many many varieties of gum that exist weren't often ultimately some variety of white or off-white pastel coloring... i guess pink was just more memorable? i cant imagine gum could possibly be pink-by-essence, but maybe thats the point, that it simply was mere memorable association according to a mixture of personal and social influences

AND WINE BOTHERED ME SO MUCH i wanted to make it a deeper/darker color but i also didnt want it to blend into the background of the text box and i loaaatheee the pink-ish grey-ish brown-ish mess that it is when i want to show darker colors...

that may be fair given the apparent-although-mild difference in color between the cone and the presumably white tiles, but in defense of people approximating the cone as white, the entire image itself is somewhat distorted with a hazy dark tint that would misrepresent the color anyway... without natural unfiltered lighting to be comfortably sure of the "real" nature of the cone's color, it is easy to imagine that all colors in the image were hard to accurately approximate anyway and they all affected the perception of the cone with much looser definitions of the resulting output

alternatively... i suppose it could just be that we were lazy, or didnt feel like the distinction was worthwhile, i dont really know

oooo, i love the combination of "cosmic latte" and "dark hot pink", and especially how theyre compatible with "medium turquoise" which is already a lovely color on its own! although i would've called it "deep/medium teal" personally, my idea of turquoise seems brighter than that

this version of "ecru" works well with the other two in a similar fashion but the saturation and slight change in hue makes it far less convenient for a stable neutral color

kinda not into the burnt orange though, unless it was in the right context

by name, i suppose, but i would say it's plausible that the image you presented made the exact shade look rather ambiguous. a different variety of results can appear when you search for "ecru" as a color from which any of those other shades could be selected and named "ecru" again in just the same way, which makes it fair to value it more on the basis of its exact #hexcode represented in explicitly colored text

furthermore, people can only use so many various arbitrary names for so many exact varying shades of colors across different hues and values, it's only understandable that some things are generalized for the sake of expedient reference-- for example, my use of "silver" can easily be represented with a slight difference in hue or saturation or value/brightness by someone else and still justifiably be considered "silver"

not that you were wrong for using an image at all (and not even for using an image that appeared to be tinted) or anything like that, i'm mostly just being pedantic for explaining some reasonable ways why reusing a name/color might be justified, i kinda liked your approach myself in theory and might use it myself later on ^^

so yeah anyway, sorry abt that, youre ok :) im playing with this for fun while the danganronpa residue is still on me, i just watched a class trial happen in a youtube playthrough and i think i would explain my own choices in presentation and argumentation to be influenced a bit by that lol

Medium Turquoise is honestly accurate to its name, 6.5/10

This version of Ecru is a bit more yellow than the one the big fur man sent me, but I think this one is more easy on the eyes than the other one. 8/10

Bright Orange is a pure orange, and I love it, as for why idk. 9/10

Cosmic Latte is an off-white (a lighter version of the fur man's ecru) is pretty similar to ecru. 8/10

Dark Hot Pink is- OH MY GOD IS THAT KEREMARU OH HELL YEAH HE HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD AND RETURNED TO OT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jkjk it's an alright color, nothing special about it to be completely honest, 7/10
