I started browsing 4chan in 2018, so I don't actually know what happened in 2016 which caused you to leave.xch00F wrote:

I honestly find some of the interaction funny on 4chan, specifically the containment thread. But yeah, it has it's downsides, the most glaring of which is that the people on there don't actually exist.Winnyace wrote:
Frankly, drop 4chan. It isn't even funny most of the time IMO. Most users there are either so up their own "comedic" ass that they act like this IRL too or they act like this IRL too because they're mentally challenged, which is the nicest way I could put it.Ymir wrote:
Holy shit I've been alternating 4chan and OT for the past 2 hours, thanks for the reminder that I need to get off, Winny. Love you always.
I stopped using 4chan around 2016 or so and you probably know the reason why, it was kind of """""okay""""" before that but the influx of newfriends infested nearly every board and it's a dumpster fire at this point. /mu/ is unusable, which is a shame because a lot of my taste and ideas about music were shaped by the board. met some very cool (and lefty) folk from the /daily/ threads too
I haven't really come across /pol/tards irl yet, hence why I said that they don't exist.
4chan did seem a lot friendly back in 2016 though, I've seen archives of old threads and was shocked to find an absence of people accusing each other of being Jewish.
