I think after being here for 9 months (off and on) denizen used to be something achievable, a definite and defined goal: be active and post interesting content over the span of 8 months.
Granted, I never did any of these things, I still feel a sense of remorse and spite against the system. Knowing that month after month goes by and nobody gets elected, another day, no announcement. And there or some deserving people who *should* be awarded the title.
At what point do we just accept denizenship as a reference in time where certain members were just....active?
Now, I know people are naturally against change, so I'm expecting backlash from older gen members.
Like, if someone was active for 8+ months, maybe a couple years, shouldn't they be remembered for being here? Instead of being here *and* being notable?
Notoriety shouldn't just come with exceptional posts. Look at Loserotaku for example, and I'm sure Scyla had some notoriety for shitposting prior to his denizenship.
average acroba rant
