Knowing of these current requirements for becoming a denizen, people are a lot more likely to grind posts to hit the 10 page mark. Ultimately, this will contribute to a surge in shitposts from people who’s main purpose is becoming a denizen, rather than putting in effort and quality.
This is what I propose. I believe that there should be a committee of currently trusted and tenured denizens who nominate and approve of new denizens. Denizens should not only be approved based on how long they’ve been around, but also by the quality of their posts, and what they contribute to OT.
Now, whether this committee is hand picked by the OT!Government, or nominated by their fellow peers, it doesn’t not matter. What matters is that the process to becoming a denizen is one that rewards good behavior, effort, and quality content/posts. Our current system here in OT rewards a lack of effort and shitposts.
We need change.
You know what this means. But first I'd like to mention I just came from OT's second movie night and it was a blast. I bet the next one will be better! Thank you Penguin for making OT glorious. Sincere apologies! We have experienced a glitch in the system and have missing records of certain denizen candidates in OT. While candidates are usually entered into OT Royal Society of Quality's tracking system after sufficient activity, this denizen seemed to be missing completely from records. In fact it was noticed he's missing entirely by coincidence! This denizen should have technically become denizen over a month ago, which is why this is such a weird situation. We missed a week or two due to postquakes and other unexplained pentanormal phenomena. After all, we are still missing a denizen who is still nowhere to be seen nor found. Yet OT moves on like an enigma riding in a wheelbarrow on top of a shit road. Sometimes there are bumps that make it go zooming out of control, but sometimes you wonder why there are no bumps at all. Truly an enigma - just like the new denizen of today! They are best known for their curious look, but not much else I think. Maybe you can tell me what you know them for. Welcome _ralsei!

Ok seriously tho, I am considering adding another requirement to denizen. Some people take extraordinarily long breaks between their debut, and it's hard to figure where they belong. So to become denizen you will have to make it to 10 pages without a 6 month or greater break within that time period.

I think it’s a good thing to lengthen the requirements for becoming a denizen. But at the same time, having such a basic set of requirements, such as x amount of posts within x amount of time, is a bad thing for OT.abraker wrote:

We have been considering changes for OT denizenship requirements at the parliament, I guess gen 8 will start whenever it gets approved. It's on hold though.
