also are we restricted to picking only G-PG 13 rated movies, or can there be R rated movies as well?

I might have themed weeks as well. For example, horror week, Christmas week, studio ghibli week, etc.
If you can think of a better way to implement the choosing of movies, feel free to let me know. I doubt my method is anything near good.
pretty much what I was thinking. Make a poll for initial movies, pick 5 at random (or themed) for a second poll.

I have gone through all of your movie suggestions! Surprisingly, you guys suggested a lot of good movies! Unfortunately though, I cannot include all of them, so I tried my best to included movies from a widespread of genres.

every single response except 1 or 2 said that 12 UTC works for them. I'll probably switch it up every now and than to give everyone a chance to join. 8UTC works for a lot of people too.clayton wrote:

but in all seriousness, I havent watched all those movies except for wall-e and shrek, though all of them seem pretty gud
and 12 utc is like 8am here, so I have to wake up early for this lel, though if the movie is quite long, then I may be able to catch up to the screening

Shrek, The King, and that anime movie about a pilot or whatever. I guess there can still be a shift in votes if people vote before the showing.
Reminder for those who are interested that it's almost time.
it's not that feasible for me to join in on movie night unless i want to see the sunrise so i can't really join in
i suggest maybe we could try to have like different screening time of the movie, like one screening for asain countries and one for americas

Our second movie night will be held on Saturday, December 19th @ 0400 UTCI will again be collecting movie suggestions and holding a runoff poll with your best suggestions once we get closer to Movie Night

honestly, I might just start doing it whenever it's easiest for me. Waking up at 4am for the last movie was really stupid. 0400-0800 is the best, so I'll probably start doing that from now on. Only two people showed up for 1200UTC anyway, so it's stupid to hold the movie at 1200UTC for all the people who had that for their best time available if they're not even gonna show up. The same amount of people are likely to show up during 0400-0800 anyways, so.abraker wrote:
