heck, as an ex-bn I can tell you that circlejerking isn't even that bad (I only ranked like 2 taiko maps in a year of being bn), and if that's the attitude you go into mapping with you're much more likely to give up

well, looking at it now, ranking HAS to follow a generic meta. in the ranked section, there has to be a norm for what is set for ranked, and nowadays, it involves having mostly acute 45 degree angle jumps and easy to hit circles. this is what's considered "normal" and the reason we need this to be considered normal, is so unconventional non-generic creative maps can be considered creative. if creative maps were the norm, then they aren't creative maps, they're just maps with uncomfortable angles that somewhat represent the music

Honestly, I think that they should start retroactively removing pedophilic BG's from currently ranked mapsets. I know logistically, it wouldn't be the easiest of things to do, but I say it's worth it.

My only issue with this bit of "drama" is that they didn't start removing these types of BG's earlier.
