Exciting news: We are expanding to 150 participating communities, which is more than last season. In fact, we may even go for 165 communities depending on how some invitations go.

Since none of the representatives chosen at this point have indicated that they can only play if their game starts April 24, I have made the decision that the qualifying phase won't begin until May 1st in order to allow me more time to get everything properly organized and to get all representatives properly prepared. This will have no impact on the overall schedule for this season; the qualifying phase will still be wrapped up by early July, after which we dive into the wildcard games followed by the finale game.
Finally, to communities that haven't elected a representative yet: Remember that your deadline for electing a representative is April 23.

I personally think it would be cool for someone to represent our community for the game. Just looking at the last few pages, it seems like there are people who (still?) want to play.
tbh I want to play noncommital games like irc mafia nowadays, I get too stressed out with an ongoing game.

I'm hosting a mafia game ft. mostly osu!/ex-osu! people. it'll be open setup because I got a specific request to make a noob-friendly game. the intent is to start off on approximately the 25th of June, but this is a hesitant early guess and might change depending on interest and people's availability. theme is cyberpunk, just to make it a bit more fun.
game is hosted off-site because I can't handle the new layout and because of certain GMing/moderation concerns: https://forums.tuuba.moe/viewtopic.php?pid=43142 everyone is welcome, just register for an account if you don't have one yet. please do try to be active though, inactivity kills the game.

I get that the new site isn't as good as the old one, I am anoyed by it's removal as well. But how does the style change the game of mafia?

what about the new forums makes Mafia hard to play? if there are issues here, they might be relevant to all forums.
A lot of older folks play mafia and are used to old design.
Also infinite scrolling is intimidating on threads with hundreds of posts. It blurs all the posts into a never ending stream. It makes harder to navigate to specific posts you are not sure the location of. With pages you could roughly guesstimate what page the post occurred on based on maybe a 4-6 page range you think it can be on, and you can find it a bit faster because you vaguely remember it's either around top, middle, or bottom of page. With infinite scrolling, if it's post 367 out of 500+ you prob going to aim for the 300's ballpark. You better hope you don't tirelessly scroll past it or you either need to check 100 posts again or start doubting whether it's really a 300's post.
Also is there a way to filter by all posts a user made in a thread? There was this feature on old forums, albeit via crafted url.
It would also help if you can limit post search to a specific thread in addition to user.

How many player do we have right now, Is it still 11 as in the last edit? If so we might want to start the game right now since we are in quarentine. I know 11 player is not ideal but if we can't get the game going in a quarentine I don't think we will ever do it.
I think it's more like 6 now. I expect half not to be available anymore or lost interest
