01:45:773 (1,1) - the SV changes are hard to read here. the 1:45 note has a new combo and no sv change, while the 1:46 note is the same but with a sv change. maybe remove the new combo on 01:45:773 (1) to just keep it consistent with 01:51:420 (3,4) -
01:51:773 (1) - maybe make the spacing between this note and the next note similar to 01:46:126 (1).

The spacing gets smaller even though the song's intensity gets higher, and the jumps every 4th note change spacing randomly (1.29x, 1.20x, 1.11x, 1.35x). I'd put the straight streams after the curved ones and shrink the curved stream jumpspacing to something more reasonable (1.0x-1.1x).
00:45:420 (1,2,3,4,1) - Raise up a few pixels to make the sharp angle change more noticeable like the previous pattern?
01:15:420 (1) - Giga nazi mod but the start of the slider blanketing on this curve is a bit small (very noticable at higher CS). It'd look better if you pulled out the top a bit, but honestly you probably don't need to fix it, it just irks me.
01:39:244 (5) - All the slider blankety stuff in this section is 1/4 spacing but this one is 1/2 for NO REASON argh. Put it outside the blanket like you do later on at 03:43:479 (5).
01:43:567 (8) - Make the slider repeat one more time to cover this beat maybe? Iunno, it feels strange not being mapped.
02:10:920 (4,1) - I don't really like the flow on this considering the preceding pattern is already a bit of a mini difficulty spike. It's definitely playable and all but it feels a lot better to me when 02:11:185 (1,2) - is flipped horizontally and moved out to the left.
02:14:979 (4,5) - This gap feels unnecessarily large. Moving (5) closer while still not having it touch (4) would improve playability while giving the same effect.
02:39:773 (1) - Sliderend is slightly unstacked from the next note's sliderend. The map is literally unplayable, please fix
02:48:949 (3,4) - I had some trouble reading this general area and interpreting it as 1/3 since it follows the same spacing patterns for the most part. It's not easy to fix in this kind of map, but I think it'd help if you combined these two notes into a slider with a single repeat, to be more lenient on the player and give them a bit longer and an extra perfectly timed slider hitsound to realize "oh we're 1/3 now".
03:53:185 (7,1) - This tricked me into thinking there's a 1/4 gap between the slider and the start of the stream, but nope. I dunno how to make this any better so uuuh it's probably fine???
04:04:479 (7,1) - There's a 1/2 gap here when pretty much every other gap of this spacing in the section is 1/4. Mostly this is a problem because 04:04:832 (1) blankets the next note the same as it blankets the previous one, except the first is 1/2 and the second is 1/4, and that's just nonsense.
04:40:390 (4,1) - Why is this jump 1.64x when all the jumps after it are 1.30x. aaaa
04:58:832 (1,1) - Again, not a fan of the spacing here since it imitates 1/4 stuff.

Pretty cool map honestly. The storyboard brings my beefy new computer down to 140fps though, god damn it Kalamitous :arrow: :|

02:14:979 (4,5) - This gap feels unnecessarily large. Moving (5) closer while still not having it touch (4) would improve playability while giving the same effect. ok fixd
02:39:773 (1) - Sliderend is slightly unstacked from the next note's sliderend. The map is literally unplayable, please fix ur a trol
02:48:949 (3,4) - I had some trouble reading this general area and interpreting it as 1/3 since it follows the same spacing patterns for the most part. It's not easy to fix in this kind of map, but I think it'd help if you combined these two notes into a slider with a single repeat, to be more lenient on the player and give them a bit longer and an extra perfectly timed slider hitsound to realize "oh we're 1/3 now".
03:53:185 (7,1) - This tricked me into thinking there's a 1/4 gap between the slider and the start of the stream, but nope. I dunno how to make this any better so uuuh it's probably fine??? the sliders before were 1/4 and half the size of the next slider so its fINE
04:04:479 (7,1) - There's a 1/2 gap here when pretty much every other gap of this spacing in the section is 1/4. Mostly this is a problem because 04:04:832 (1) blankets the next note the same as it blankets the previous one, except the first is 1/2 and the second is 1/4, and that's just nonsense. fixed
04:40:390 (4,1) - Why is this jump 1.64x when all the jumps after it are 1.30x. aaaa cuz it blankets the previous stream :d, its okay i made the jumps all 1.64x now
04:58:832 (1,1) - Again, not a fan of the spacing here since it imitates 1/4 stuff. fixd

ok so we fixed EVERYTHING. The storyboard gives a lot more frames and is half filesize (and has some cool new effects) and we changed a couple of other things over discord as well.

Bubble #1 again because a lot of stuff changed.

  1. 01:38:008 (1) - this section just sounds really off and i cant figure out why
  2. your rhythm choices for the second kiai really dont help emphasize all the strong beats in the song. it just feels misplaced
  3. it also feels a whole heck of a lot closer together and less spaced than the first kiai
    not sure if it's intentionally slower but having those slowed sliders really breaks the fast paced nature of that part for me

  1. 00:06:949 (3,4) - can you differentiate the spacing here compared to 00:04:479 (3,4) - (00:18:244 (3,4) - here too)
    idk this 00:26:008 (1) - second measure sounds really full and matches the song imo but all the other ones feel pretty empty.
  2. 00:29:185 (3,4) - should be kicks like that second measure. lots of rhythm inconsistencies
  3. 00:27:332 (10) - none of your other combos lead off with a note here, you should remove it
  4. 00:44:714 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - nothing in the song really changes to warrant such a streamjump when you havent been using them previously
  5. 00:47:185 (1) - could use a circle before the spinner for impact
  6. 01:20:714 - should this really be left empty
  7. 01:39:861 (2,3) - these doubles are awkward and mislead, it seems like youre mapping to the synth when youre really mapping to the drums
    01:40:126 (4,5) - stuff like this works, but the doubles feel out of place. i dont know how to express why this section feels awkward
  8. 01:46:126 (1) - there has to be an easy way to show that this is a hold note, right now it looks like every other 1/2. you could make it like a red tick slider
  9. 01:48:596 (3) - these sounds could be mapped out with circles
  10. 01:51:773 (1) - again even a slight bend in the slider to help show it's a 3/4
  11. this first kiai is bumpin
  12. 03:11:538 - what is determining whether notes are spaced out or really closely stacked in this section?
  13. 03:28:479 (7) - you NCd this note the first time
  14. 03:30:243 (1) - and then this wasn't NCd
  15. 03:30:949 (2) - and then this was again. consistency please
  16. 03:36:243 (8) - this also had its own NC the first time
  17. 03:51:420 (1,2,3,4) - could be cool if these were back and forths like the first iteration of the "lyrics" here 03:48:596 (3,4,5,6) -

  24. 04:18:243 (5) - why are you ignoring that beat
  25. 04:19:655 (1,1) - when the "lyrics" give you an opportunity to use stream jumps or sharp changes or anything really you decide to stack them all
  26. 04:23:891 (5,6,1,2) - ) - theres so much you can be doing with this man these take you out of the immersion of the kiai like completely.
  27. 04:33:067 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - god this just feels so undermapped compared to the rest of the kiai like youve got that constant 1/8 beat in the bg to work off of, why suddenly switch to the melody
    use the melody for emphasis don't suddenly start mapping it fully when youve set up this really cool constant 1/8 beat going on
  28. 04:44:361 (1) - and this whole section i know is supposed to be like an outro but come on the slider thing feels lazy, like theres so much going on in the song still it really doesnt slow down until 05:06:949 (1) -

I didn't point out every instance of everything i felt was off but like it just feels really unfinished and has potential to be way more intense than what you're mapping it to be

Yeah I actually have 0 DQ's on standard maps I've bubbled or Qualified, not saying it means im 100% able to do so, but I have enough experience to qualify standard stuff, even though I made it into the BNG through CtB. I'd appreciate if you didn't attack me directly for putting an icon when two other Nominators felt the same way I did about the map. If you're going to blame someone, blame us all.

First of all, I'm not blaming you Ascendance. Don't misunderstand what I'm asking. I'm not trying to attack you or question your qualifications, I just wanted an answer like Monstrata's to see if it was something that was allowed because I personally didn't know.

Second, don't get overly cocky about a perfect track record, the way the system works right now seems to be that if nobody points anything out then the QAT won't actively DQ it unless there's major technicality issues. Very little seems to get DQd nowadays because not enough people care about little things once it's in qualified. Not trying to discredit your insight but it's not flawless.

But like I said, the question wasn't some back-handed comment or diss against you. Please don't misconstrue it as such.

its even somewhat of a new standard, BN's are supposed to be well-rounded with every gamemode. As a matter of fact, on the next test, std BN's will have questions of other gamemode basics, to also evaluate their knowledge of gamemodes that arent their main

i agree with monstrata here, as long as you know you can do it, go ahead. ascendance has evaluated and nominated several other std maps, so id say he has some good knowledge and knows whats up, its not like hes ignoring the gamemode he signed up with either

00:15:773 (4) - also what's up with this

00:45:773 (1) - 04:42:949 (1,1) - would be nice to buffer these by at least one 1/4 gap to prevent unfair breaks

01:23:185 (1) - 03:27:420 (2) - wouldn't hurt to NC these to signify that they're not on the very next white tick from the previous object

01:41:273 (2,3) - this movement seems inconsistent with 01:38:008 (1,2,3) - and 01:39:420 (1,2,3) - or am i missing something

04:44:361 - i don't think this section full of NC spam is needed. while it may seem tempting to do so and it does fit the ncing concept of previous parts of the map, there's about 60 NCs here in the space of 20 seconds, which is about twice as dense as one of your kiais and three times as dense as one of RLC's kiais. i think it's pretty unnecessary in the end and you could do fine by cutting them in half because the sv changes feel intuitive by this point already

Giving a quick recheck over the map, there have been some good points made in some mods - for example, I absolutely agree that 03:55:302 (3,4) - needs to be fixed, since it's actually kind of nonsensical at the moment, and there are probably at least a few other legitimate suggestions to be taken.

Call me back once these mods have been resolved!
