Made this thread just because why not

Mine are:
Jet Lag: The Game - seriously, anyone who doesn't watch jet lag should reeeally consider it, the show is honestly amazing and really sucks you in, plus the upload schedule is good

Jacob Geller - a good reviewer of mostly relatively unknown games, found some underground gem games just because of his videos, although he doesn't upload often

Yarnhub - high quality animations about war history

Zach Star Himself & Trevor Wallace - good comedy

And there are some others but I decided not to include em

And I wouldn't be surprised if this kind of thread already exists, but whatever

Recently found out about Jet Leg: The Game

I'd say it's decent. Can't tell you what my favorite would be though honestly.
I guess I could say DDOI (Daily Dose Of Internet), but that would be a tame answer to give.

Technology Connections is one of the best channels ever.

Wendover Productions, fern and hoog are great documentary channels.

Summoning Salt and Abyssoft for speedrunning stuff.

I thought Jet Lag was exclusive to Nebula but that must be one of their many other projects.
tapperruiii
definitely Consume Jompo

Oh yeah Shaun is good, FD Signifier is too USA centered so not really interesting for me.
Pillar of Garbage, Contrapoints, Innuendo Studios and others I can't think of rn are good too.

Angela's Symposium - A really cool professor from Italy with a PhD. She covers western occultism from an academic perspective. She also got drip.

Esoterica - Another channel focused on academic deep dives into western esotericism and occultism topics, run by Dr. Justin Sledge. He occasionally even does university-level lectures on specific topics for free on the channel.

Let's Talk Religion - Yet another philosophy and academic religious studies channel that I love. I probably should have gone into philosophy or religious studies in college, rather than computer science...

Religion For Breakfast - Same thing, really good academic look at various world religions.

Sega Lord X - Has some cool retrospectives on games, and is a Sega fan like I am but is cool because he doesn't diss other consoles because of it.

Pecos Hank - Some of the most beautiful and amazing videos of tornadoes and severe weather. I'm a tornado nerd, so it's practically a given that I subscribe to him.

Asianometry - Only found this one recently. Lots of cool tech history.

Retro Bytes - A really cool computer history channel. Has an enjoyable voice, and has jazz music in the background for all the videos for some reason.

PBS Eons - Lots of cool archaeology and paleontology stuff here. I really love their recent podcast series where they take a hypothetical trip back in time to various eras and talk about how they would fair surviving in them.

Wayward Audio - Has some really hnnnnggggg ASMR/RP videos. I especially love when she does yandere stuff :3

DarkDreams ASMR - Same thing, really fun ASMR/RP videos.

Computerphile has some really good shit. I especially like the ones with Mike Pound and Professor Brailsford. I may also have a slight crush on Dr Mike Pound >_>

@everyframeapainting for the best film theory in youtube format. I was in shock when I saw their recent video pop up on my youtube feed and found out they were back after such a long hiatus. Life is good.

Now I only need @MrBtongue to go back to his youtube roots and my life will be complete.

  1. Accursed Farms - A gaming orientated channel geared towards older titles and skit comedy.
  2. Adrian's Digital Basement - A retro computing channel focused on detailed repair work and exploration of these old systems, done by a very skilled technician.
  3. Ahoy - Gaming and related documentary channel, with a keen eye on aesthetics.
  4. Captain Disilluision - Educational channel debunking videos, featuring Hollywood level VFX.
  5. Sam O'Nella Academy - Comedy educational channel. He is pretty well known.
  6. Atomic Shrimp - Random videos, mostly related to cooking, done by a laid-back, older British gentleman.
  7. brutalmoose - Random videos edited in a style similar to a YouTube Poop.
  8. kliksphilip - The vlog channel of 3kliksphilip, a popular Counter Strike orientated channel. His misc channel is also here, but I personally like his vlog channel a bit more than his misc channel. I'm not interested in his CS channel anymore.
  9. Cathode Ray Dude - Retro computing related channel with a keen eye on telling interesting stories about the coming up of certain trends in computing.

You can put in Professor Skye's Record Reviews, for no real reason other than I find some of his content deeply engaging.

Mentour Pilot - Mostly focused on aviation accidents, their production quality is better than netflix documentaries imo. They also have sub-channels which focuses more on the aviation industry itself.

Green Dot Aviation - Also about aviation accidents, very good production quality. Their narrating style is very calming.

LEMMiNO - Documentaries about mysteries n stuff(?), i js think its pretty interesting.

Kyle Hill - Makes amazing documentaries about nuclear power and radioactivity.

Shrouded Hand (TW: Horror, blood, violence, murder, etc.) - Horror vids, perfect to watch before sleeping<3

Chubbyemu - One of, if not the best channel i've found so far about health/toxicology
aplastic anemia
BobbyBroccoli. He makes documentaries covering scandals in science and academia amongst other things. The topics are usually interesting and he is quite good at framing and presenting the story.

It is probably the highest quality content I have personally found on youtube.

I also love Michael Stevens of Vsauce but everyone probably already knows him.
