As a creator, YouTube is a lot of pain and little reward. Sometimes shit just sticks and sometimes it doesn't. As mature as the algorithm is, you're fighting among a very saturated market and it can be really disheartening to see YouTubers like Lia (SSSniperWolf) get showered with YouTube licking her toes and promoting her to no end, while YouTubers with more original, well thought, interesting, personal or a combo of these four get nothing in return.
