My pretentious review/thoughts on each track (I've literally never made music in my life):
TheNutritiousGuy (Stefan) - OT!MelodyI'm not gonna lie I literally cannot understand sung words without lyrics to read so yeah I dunno what Stefan is saying but he probably spitting, except for when he sung snow halation, I understood that part, that was glorious
I enjoyed Stefan changing his tone to match the different songs and for different lyrics. It was clearly meant to sound shitposty so the low quality of the singing doesn't bother me, it's high quality in terms of what he's presumably trying to do.
I'm guessing the backing track is from somewhere else, but it does carry this into at least being listenable. I probably would've liked it a lot more if I knew what the lyrics were, but I'll still give this the benefit of doubt that the lyrics are goated and bump it up.
its okay/10ACROBA - behind my backAcroba????? huh???? Ok wait he fucking cooked thouhg holy
I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting actual goated music from this album, but this came within throwing distance. This is so well produced, the lyrics flow so well, like wow. Don't really have much to say, actual good track. I would listen to a full album of this.
THEY COOKIN 🔥🔥🔥/10
cephaphysic - Please_Insert_a-DiscPretty cool track, I don't think I can rank it in the cookin tier because it's not very interesting to listen to actively because there's not much going on. This would be great as the backdrop to something, like maybe an OST for a video game or just in the background while you do something, but as a standalone track (which is how I'm reviewing this) it just overstays it's welcome when it's more than 5 minutes of the same thing.
Outside of that, I tip my cap to this track, it's produced really well, and it certainly captures a distinct feeling that I don't know how to explain. Actually no I'll try, it's kind of like a feeling of being in limbo, like you've decided you want to play a game and have opened the disk tray of your console, but time has stopped and you haven't put in a disk.
pretty good ngl/10Corne2Plum3 - Untitled Dubstep Song 1Dubstep in the year of our lord 2024? Crazy. It's crazy we got this far into the album to get a track where the production felt more amateurish, a testament to how good the previous two tracks were.
But I'm not here to glaze them, I'm hear to talk about this track. I feel like the main thing is that it's a bit underproduced. Like dubstep is supposed to be high intensity, lots of noise and carry a certain energy, but outside of maybe that last drop where it went dnb which was pretty cool, the track feels really bare bones. I think it would've been good to just add a lot more to the track, instead of like 3 to 5 basic loops at a time.
The bridge sections between the drops felt especially lacking, like they were afterthoughts to the drops. I appreciated the effort to freshen up the track with stuff like going into thirds, changing pitch and speeding up the tempo, but those honestly felt a bit cheap, especially as outside of the drops it was mostly just slight differences on that chime loop.
I think if this track was trying to be dubstep, it also would benefit from just being a lot more grittier, like it sounds kinda soft, idk how to explain it.
I wanna say that the dnb part was definetly a bop though
bad/10GIoxSM_J962 - FIRST TO MAP THIS SONG[1] WINS 1 MONTH OF FREE SUPPORTER
[1]: Erroneous label. [2]: You don't.This sounds like you took classical music theory lessons and were like yeah lets not lmao
What's with the goofy pauses, multiple times I thought it was over but it was just like SIKE,
The title is 10 out of 10 though, it truly fits with this song
Are the melodies pulled from somewhere? Because they sound vaguely familiar but also completely unrecognisable.
Also that fucking transistion into the next track is perfect
At the very least, it was 100% an entertaining listen all the way through, no low points. A glorious shitpost (I hope it was a shitpost. If it wasn't, I'm sorry)
bad/10keremaybehere - こんなの私じゃないOk this was pretty cool, 100% felt like the most artistic track so far, really felt like a mental breakdown as the track went on and everything slowly became more overwhelming. I feel like there's a story here with the sampled lyrics, but since I'm not Japanese I dunno what it is
Don't really know what else to say though, it was cool
pretty good ngl/10Calum Bowen - The Shop (kere + hopefullyzero Mentally ________ Remix)Bruh who is Calum Bowen
Ok I looked it up, for those wondering, this is a remix of a song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEBNrtihNP4I see kere in the title as well, dunno who hopefullyzero is, but I can definetly hear the drumwork from the previous track.
The drumcore mixes really well with the goofy original track, it's really fun to listen to, especially with the punchyness with those "oo oo oo" things from the original track.
Loved the random samples, they were glorious.
It had the energy of dariacore, that brain melting, shitpost energy, pretty epic.
Actually a bop, a joy to listen to. This would've been ranked lower if I didn't have to learn what dariacore was after playing all those wafer maps and somehow gain an appreciation for this stuff.
pretty good ngl/10keremaybehere - hakushokuzatsuonI think compared to the last two tracks this was my least favourite. While the other two tracks had interesting aspects, this kinda just sounded like generic breakcore instrumentals, which I guess wasn't really to my taste. Like it sounds really good, but it kinda felt like nothing was going on, especially with it being placed behind the previous two tracks. I definitely would've liked it more in a vaccuum.
its ok/10MrMcMikey22 - Fever NightmareOoh we gaming now
Sounds straight out of a soundtrack of an old ass game, awkwardness included. I guess you could see the awkwardness as not exactly a good thing and I'm not sure if this was intended, but it was pretty cool nevertheless.
Even though it sounds awkward, I enjoyed the mixing of the different loops and the way the instruments sounded as well as how the different rhythms kept things interesting. It also keeps a great level of energy all the way through without really lulling or becoming boring, with the crazy melody lines
I really like how it sounds like you can't really pin it down if that makes sense.
Title fits really well, this 100% captures the feeling of fucking tripping on a fever
its ok/10 (it's like borderline, it feels too good for its ok but not enough for pretty good ngl)MrMcMikey22 - hueyWow this was a short one, I was still writing for the previous track when this one ended. It's kinda interesting how the instrumentals kinda sound like they're saying "huey huey huey". No idea if this was intentional lol. Outside of that not much to say about this, it kinda felt way too short to be anything. Also no idea what "huey" means.
its ok/10MrMcMikey22 - sadgzNot really sure what to say about this one, it's ok I guess
edit: on second though, I want to move this down to bad
bad/10nominomu - amidst the chaosOh damn this sounds nice
I don't really know how to explain it, but it's not amazing though? Like it's a bit amateurish (idk a better word) and you can't really perfectly get into the vibes. Really nice vibes though.
its ok/10 (another very borderline one)porejiikt- the battle between the denizens and lurkers
Even though this one sounds a bit amateurish as well, it bops real hard. I really enjoyed how the track continued to evolve and do new things, so it was never boring. Great track.
pretty good ngl/10Rezq - Pallet Town (Rezq Remix)
Not sure what to say about this one, idk it's not that good I guess.
bad/10sametdze - average mcdonalds experienceThis is unironically not bad??? I know it's a shitpost, but the vocals are done really well, the acting and the story makes it an entertaining listen. Why does it go on for so long after the vocals finish up though
its ok/10
B0ii - TOPIC XThe Frums is strong with this one
Literally what you get when you buy Frums from that weird ass middle aisle in Aldi
Entertaining track though, Frums is epic, and you do catch that spirit and those chaotic, experimental vibes, with how many different things you did. Hope Frums becomes a genre fr
pretty good ngl/10Yeah the review/thoughts become shorter near the end because it's late and I'm tired. Maybe it's because I was paying such close attention to it but the album was a lot more fun to listen to than I was expecting. Also sorry for the 0 proofreading and bad writing, I wrote this while listening to the album and I can't really be bothered to write up everything properly.
Here's the tier list:
Nothing in the straight to the wasteland 💀💀 tier because I was saving that for some absolutely horrible shit that would make me throw up that never ended up coming so
Also why is the download from tiermaker so low res

I tried too hard and fucking fell; added too much and it overflowed. Maybe I should of waited a year or two to do this project instead of now, where I would've gotten better. Where I would of taken a different direction in my music, instead of pushing distorted amen breaks being chopped up into 1/8ths and 1/16ths. Maybe I would of gone with something like liquid DnB, or EDM, something that may be better somehow? Does it really matter in the end? This whole project is just a little bump in the road for most people. Maybe I just take things too seriously. Who knows?
This project, like I have said before, was a mess because of my failure to properly plan it. Same thing with my song: too many directions and yet still nowhere to go. Or maybe I just worry too much about small little criticisms and I'mthe insane one here? Why? Is it because I don't know what to do with my life? Who and what knows?
You did better than me with the OT Book lol
