A dolphin is an aquatic mammal within the infraorder Cetacea. Dolphin species belong to the families Delphinidae (the oceanic dolphins), Platanistidae (the Indian river dolphins), Iniidae (the New World river dolphins), Pontoporiidae (the brackish dolphins), and possibly extinct Lipotidae (baiji or Chinese river dolphin). There are 40 extant species named as dolphins.

Dolphins range in size from the 1.7-metre-long (5 ft 7 in) and 50-kilogram (110-pound) Maui's dolphin to the 9.5 m (31 ft) and 10-tonne (11-short-ton) orca. Various species of dolphins exhibit sexual dimorphism where the males are larger than females. They have streamlined bodies and two limbs that are modified into flippers. Though not quite as flexible as seals, they are faster; some dolphins can briefly travel at speeds of 29 kilometres per hour (18 mph) or leap about 9 metres (30 ft).[1] Dolphins use their conical teeth to capture fast-moving prey. They have well-developed hearing which is adapted for both air and water. It is so well developed that some can survive even if they are blind. Some species are well adapted for diving to great depths. They have a layer of fat, or blubber, under the skin to keep warm in the cold water.

Dolphins are widespread. Most species prefer the warm waters of the tropic zones, but some, such as the right whale dolphin, prefer colder climates. Dolphins feed largely on fish and squid, but a few, such as the orca, feed on large mammals such as seals. Male dolphins typically mate with multiple females every year, but females only mate every two to three years. Calves are typically born in the spring and summer months and females bear all the responsibility for raising them. Mothers of some species fast and nurse their young for a relatively long period of time. Dolphins produce a variety of vocalizations, usually in the form of clicks and whistles.

Dolphins are sometimes hunted in places such as Japan, in an activity known as dolphin drive hunting. Besides drive hunting, they also face threats from bycatch, habitat loss, and marine pollution. Dolphins have been depicted in various cultures worldwide. Dolphins are sometimes kept in captivity and trained to perform tricks. The most common dolphin species in captivity is the bottlenose dolphin, while there are around 60 orcas in captivity.

I know i'm banned but I just want to say i'm sure that i'm like 90% right but there is a small technicism or an asterisk like "it's characters and not letters" and that's actually going to be the difference

You may continue to post even if banned, further posts just won't be applied to the information, and you may no longer guess.

Rhythm32 wrote:

When banned you obviously can't win, but your post may provide valuable information for somebody to deduce the rule. You go down with honor (and at this rate banned information is likely more valuable than the valid).

If you think you know the answer you could post it and give the crown to the next unbanned user who submits it as a !guess, there's no rules preventing that. Could also bait them in to getting banned though 😈

"I like cheese." doesn't work, but "Can I post anything?" works.

All those that ended with "." were banned, all those that ended with "?" were not.

No one so far has written anything in 100% lowercase letters.

Given that, let's focus on what "Hello" being banned makes obvious: "Hello" doesn't work, "Hello, my name is sametdze" doesn't work too, but "This is harD" and "QUACK" works, none of the four ends with a ".", unlike "I like cheese.", that doesn't work.

"ban speedrun any% (0:10:00 WR)" doesn't work, but "(.,?!)" works, It has nothing to do with the last character, so my second observation means nothing.

❌ Hello
❌ ban speedrun any% (0:10:00 WR)
❌ I like cheese.

I think the rule is not something that has to be done to be valid, but something that cannot be done to be valid. And this thing has to do with letters, since 100% of all posts that have been banned so far had letters.

"I like cheese." doesn't work, but "Can I post anything?" works, this worries me... maybe it has to do with the origin of the words... an origin that cannot be used?

Very good effort, but you're starting to misdirect yourself towards the end here. The first hidden rule is actually quite simple, you have the answer in just the information you have picked out.

I'll give everyone a hint:

Time for some hints:

- The rule is exclusionary, meaning "your post can not"
- Capitalization or a lack thereof is somewhat relevant, but becomes a red herring if you focus too much on it
- The contents of the words is relevant, the meaning of the words is not
- Given what you already know from the information, the post above directly contains the answer

First time it was with just lowercase letters, I didn't expect it wouldn't be banned... maybe the rule has nothing to do with it, but with the level of formality or casualness?

Edit: new tips added right before I posted this, I hadn't seen them.

I thought this would be more casual, and so it would be accepted? I think my hypothesis was wrong, or you interpreted the post differently... I'm probably following a false trail.

As per the hint, the meaning of the words is entirely irrelevant. The rule is very simple and literal.

Though you missed that it's specifically lowercase letters I'll allow it as the correct answer as your examples specify lowercase.

The hidden rule was: No lowercase letters may be adjacent* to the same lowercase letter
*no characters or spaces in between

You figured out the hidden rule with 24 pieces of information and 4 guesses, giving you a score of 28 (lower is better), and take the first (and only) place in the 🧠 Big Brain Hall of Fame

A moment of silence for the fallen heroes of round 1.
