My personal opinion on Apple
They're now more of a luxury brand than a tech one. They market themselves brilliantly and know their target audience very well.
They provide products which are fine, but overpriced and limiting if you want to use the tech inside them to their fullest. You have to play within a small area of a massive sandbox. They're weirdly hostile to anything that would resemble cooperation with fellow tech companies. Take Metal, their
graphics API, and how it basically only works on Apple products and nothing else.
Their stance on right to repair is also very mixed, mostly being against it from what I've seen, which is problematic to say the least. Overall, I think they're kinda overhyped, as their products are limiting and their business plan is based around being different and special, even if it comes at a cost for everybody else in the industry and sometimes the whole world.
