osu! forums is the place besides casual chatting in the client - another way to communicate with osu! players from all over the world. Conversations were mostly on-topic and well thought through. Talking in forums used to be more compressed and carefully considered as this is still a very public place.
Keep posting! But make sure to follow the unwritten forum rules aswell. Stay on-topic. Make sure to post in the correct forum (yes, even if it doesn't add to your post counter, it's really not that important). You don't have to give a reaction to everything possible and above all, not spread over several posts.
Remember folks, this isn't Discord. Even though for most of you, you might have encountered with Discord first, which might be the big difference to early forum users to cause the confusion in the first place. What was it like for you?

As for General Discussion "quality content" really is subjective, though if there's places like Off-Topic or Surveys and your topic possibly could fit there better, you may just post there.
