also @sam that map is outdated given my nether tunnel extension project
also where is the small sacrificial room?
also you are missing a couple nether portals going to various places that are not bases
I believe that it is. When joining the server, it forces you to play on a 1.17 version of the game. I believe that this means that only new chunks rendered in the server will contain the new ores and whatnot, so you might have to travel into the farlands to experience the new content. Shouldn't be too difficult with a nether highway. Everything already explored should stay the same.levesterz wrote:
Wait 1.17 already updated in penguin's sever?
i hope i can join in when said part 2 comesPenguin wrote:

Also, when 1.17 part 2 comes out, I plan on resetting the server and playing on a fresh new world. I will publicly release our current world for download once that happens, should anyone want to continue their progress in singleplayer.
Might be recently cuz yesterday i joined it say switch back to 1.16.5 before playingPenguin wrote:

I hope that comes after my final exam because I wasn't able to get on the server because I just don't have the time.Penguin wrote:

We'll get MOAR height.abraker wrote:

1.17 part one doesn't support the extended height limit. We only get a thin layer of deepslate. I couldn't find lush caves biomes either.abraker wrote:
wont that be generated in unexplored chunks anyway?
Oh damnabraker wrote:
I'll download the world and play modded single player on it
Prob will be around for a first few weeks after reset while everybody is active
But ultimately won't dedicate my time to anything on new world since I will be busy doing stuff on copy of old one

But part 2 would even on same map, right?
Nope. You have to force reset.abraker wrote:

Even before 1.17 we knew it was going to happen. Even if we force it to not reset somehow it will still cause problems. I'm not sure if there is any way to force it to not reset but right now, it looks like a no.abraker wrote:
@Yyotta where did you get that info from?
@Wither "have they figured out how they are going to handle chunk borders in negative y values for old worlds?"
My impression is that they are working on that
That's okay.Asian Warlord wrote:
I'm really impressed how neat abraker's town is and Whiter's pigmen farm even though I died it in lmao.
From what I heard from abraker, Sam's island is much better than his, but I need to see about that.
also sorry Tad, I lost the Suisei map that you gave me *yikes*.
It's a prediction with a very high possibility.abraker wrote:
How do you know there will be a forced reset (not done by penguin)?
I forgot you can't see youtube, the video I linked says they are going to blend chunks, so the transition will be a gradient and we probably wont get sheer cliffs where you can dig into the void.YyottaCat wrote:

What will they do with bedrock then? Will we get a bedrock room?WitherMite wrote:

Servers that don't use the native authentication system (offline mode servers) often have an auth plugin set up to deter griefingManishh wrote:
