01:09:840 (3) - Imo this looks better is the reverse was slanted all the way so it is fully horizontal. Seems a bit too cramped in play. (and possibly move a tiny bit further away from 01:09:371 (2) - ) Made horizontal and moved to x-232

00:00:465 (1) - Sorry to go back straight to the start but i think the same ^. But then again maybe you wanted this to slowly move to the start of the song but i would still suggest slanting a tiny bit to like x76 with the reverse end. You're correct, but a teensy bit more movement wouldn't hurt I guess, so consider it done

01:02:808 (2,3) - Mirror sliders ? Gave me an OCD in play XD 01:03:746 (3) has a more prominent sound that suggests a little more movement in my opinion. Sorry but your OCD will have to suffer ):

01:33:277 (1) - 3 reverses in a row is a bit too much imo. Consider just changing to a pattern you have done before for this one like this below. If you struggle for positioning for the next few notes i can help you there by having (2) at x:328. (3) at x:160. (4) at x:444. 01:36:089 (1) - at x:192 and finally (2) at x:288. and then the next (3) will just bit DS by like an inch. Opted for circle + 1/2 slider instead, since 01:33:746 is quite a prominent sound which I'd rather not have as a slider end - positioning fixed in my own way


01:40:308 (3) - I think this note can be spaced out a bit more from (2). if you move to x:216 it will make it nice and i know this don't matter so much but it fits nice with the spinner at the end in play. Fixed differently due to the repositioning above, but same effect

00:07:496 (4) - Quite a cramped up reverse slider indubitably! I recommend move left a bit and bringing the reverse end down a bit so it's a little better flow Flattened the slider out, but didn't change the placement for consistency with similar patterns

00:13:824 (4,5,6) - Not much of a problem but consider curving these notes (and throughout the song) to give a nice looking flowing curve instead of a straight line. 00:13:824 (4,5,6,1) - If I curve these it will create an awkward stoppage in flow right before a dash to 00:14:527 (1) which creates a far bigger problem. These are fine as they are

00:18:746 (3) - Cramped up again and makes the droplets drop straight down making the player just stand still. try move right a bit. Curved 00:18:746 (3) a bit more instead, I don't want to change positioning for consistency with other patterns

00:30:699 (4,5,1) - Looks a bit of a funny spaced out pattern in play. Just use the DS for these to make it look smoother. Equalised spacing on 00:29:996 (3,4,5) but added a missing dash to 00:31:402 (1) instead

00:32:808 (3) - This note has the music holding a note down. i suggest making it glide with the music and extending this slider and deleting (4) (4) is mapping the distinct guitar note, no change

01:34:683 (4,5) - Bit of a weird flow here. Perhaps Ctrl + G (4) and move to x:356. and maybe slant more again I find the current pattern plays fine to be honest, there's no dash required here so the movements are smooth and easy to follow

01:37:496 (3,4,5) - bit of an ugly reverse around catch imo and could do with having (4, 5) right of (3) instead to make it look smooth. or perhaps like this Same as above really, I find this flow interesting and not ugly at all, it's hardly any different to if I had just added an extra repeat onto (3) lol

00:00:465 (2,3) - I know the intro is meant to be easy but this is almost as easy as the salad and i think you should increase some distances by a tiny bit like here. I thnk (3) should be about x:240 Buffed a bit, but only x-224

00:02:574 (3) - Just a quick another example of before. Maybe this at x:200 x-216, and made similar distances throughout the intro for consistency

00:17:340 (1,2,3,1) - Although i like the nice glide on this i still think the players should dash from some of these as it's way too easy. A good example is like what you have done here 00:19:918 (4,1) - But that's because 00:20:152 (1) is a far more prominent note - I'm trying to be consistent with dash, and I don't feel these sounds require it

00:29:996 (2,3) - Would prefer if these 2 were mirrored like this instead to flow nice I prefer the current flow

01:24:605 (4,1) - Be nice if it was hypered here for the intensity of the music. If too difficult to hyper then at least a little bit of a bigger distance Increased distance slightly but I'm only hypering to the strong drum finishers once a stanza so it would feel inconsistent to put one here

01:26:246 (1) - Seems better at x:304 as it give a better flow dash from previous note x-288 for consistency (I changed some of the previous patterns), I don't want this to be too strong

01:27:652 (1,2,3) - Too close to eachother. It's not even DS apart. I recommend having some nice bigger dashes here inbetween. At least fix the DS if not Fixed similar to the intro

01:32:808 (4) - Move further left for better movement Pitch on the guitar is lowering here, I want this to be a relatively small spacing

About structure, I think that you should take care with consistency cuz the song is too repetitive, I'm not saying that you should map all the song with the same notes, you can also add variety with HS, for example: (Muzukashii)- comparing 00:34:683 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - with 00:40:308 (20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27) - it's a nice way to add variety on this set. but "warning" for example: (Muzukashii)- comparing parts from 00:11:715 - to 00:21:558 - with parts from 00:22:965 - to 00:32:808 -, feels like you put notes random, to make this more clean: 00:12:183 (2,3,4) - should the same at 00:23:433 (40,41) -(if you fix problems with strutcture as I say before, because you will need to move 00:24:136 (42) - to 00:23:668 - ) I get what you mean, but 00:12:183 (2,3,4) and 00:23:902 (39,40,41) are different rhythms lol. The first is an ascending pitch in flute whilst the second is descending, so I changed 00:12:183 (2) to d to reflect that better.

I think you should use 6/4 meter instead 3/4, fits song more nicely This doesn't make any difference in play, it just means there are half as many downbeats due to doubling of the measure. It could possibly fit in the intro and similar sections, but for the main melody I strongly feel 3/4 is the better choice. Listen to the pause at 00:17:105 and the prominence of the next note at 00:17:340 (1) which clearly demonstrates a new stanza. If it made a difference, I'd consider changing it, but unless someone tells me this is unrankable, I see no reason to do so

00:56:011 (3,1) - good spot for hyper dash your platter is really poor in hypers, yea it works well but adding some would make map more cool The difficulty in this map comes from the use of CS5. The "lack" of hypers is completely intentional

2. 00:13:121 (4,5 ) - How about you 00:13:121 (4) - rotate it for 25 degrees, place it back so the tail is where it was? You could make a nicer pattern here 00:13:121 (4,5,6) - so the flow is better. I'd personally advise to copy the rotated slider and CTRL + H it and rotate it for 45 degrees and place it instead of 00:13:590 (5) - this slider so the end is where that used to be. It would look somehow like *THIS*.
3. 00:54:840 (2,3,4,5) - Well, that would look better if you placed it somewhere else... how about you take the whole pattern, rotate it for 10 degrees and place it so the end of 00:55:777 (5) - this slider is at the same XY position like 00:57:183 (2) - this slider's end?

The main problem I have with this difficulty is the inconsistent usage of D and K. I'll point those out below.

00:00:465 - from the start to 00:11:715, you've used a D for the start of every two bars, except the very beginning. I feel like using a D instead of a d here as well, would firstly be consistent with the rest of this section, and secondly it would be akin to emphasizing or marking the start of the entire song by being a heavier sound Nice idea, I do like the emphasis here and consistency is so important for simple rhythms like this - besides I did it at 00:45:465 (1) anyway which is the same sound effectively
00:13:590 - how do you feel about d here instead of k? Hmm, the high-pitch flute sound is absent here, so we'll give it a go
00:24:371 - I don't think there's anything in the music to be emphasized here with a D, and D here also changes the pulse abruptly. How about change this to d, and make 00:25:777 (46) D instead? Oh yeah, this is inconsistent with my 2 downbeat finisher pattern and the emphasis on 00:25:777 (46) is much more noticeable
01:03:746 - like above, change to d, which would also distance 01:06:558 (65) from the last big note for additional emphasis ^
01:07:965 - I prefer this note as D, to mark end of the phrase in the music Nice emphasis, I like it

Regarding reduction in note density, if I was going to remove anything I guess it would be 01:39:370 (12,13) - not sure whether this feels "too" empty, so I'll leave for now and think about it

00:21:558 and 00:55:308 - just want to point out these are claps instead of a whistles; doesn't matter in taiko though lol fixed anyway xD
01:27:652 (17) - I think this as K would fit your regular big note pulse, but maybe 01:30:465 (21) to D instead works as well; anyway I just found it odd that you went 8 bars without a big note here while the rest of your kiai had a D or K every 4 bars. True, I'll go with 01:27:652 (17) to K for consistency, will hopefully make it play better for new players who will be expecting the finisher on the 4th bar as you said

Making more general statements in this diff since there's no purpose in being more specific with this:

Your diff will be considered as continuous, aka it lacks breaks. Now you might argument it's full of breaks, but it's not. The main snap here is 3/1, and it does not change at all except when you have 1/1 doublets which doesn't happen that frequently. Your map needs longer breaks, to keep it more interesting. Might sound weird at first but having a longer break than 3/1 does make this more interesting, since that's a real break and those relax and make stuff more entertaining. Feels weird to leave out some notes considering I'm mapping literally the bare bones as it is, but okay, for the sake of entertainment I'll give it a try

Second, I think you could have a few more notes, like 00:12:652 - here OR 00:14:058 - here. It's a little bit too empty right now, so it really wouldn't hurt. Went for the former so there's a decent distance between doubles - applied throughout where appropriate

00:10:308 (8) - Change to a small kat, I don't really see a purpose in this one except that it makes 00:11:715 (1) - less noteworthy 0.0 I know it's the end of the phrase but those are never emphasized, my piano teacher mentioned that more than enough <3 Apply in higher diffs as well. Main problem I have with this diff is that you have too many big notes. I know you put emphasis on the beginning of the melody phrases, which is fine. What's not fine is that you now have them 6/1, which doesn't seem to make sense. 3/1 would have made sense because of the chords (would've been too much though), so I highly suggest to change all notes like 00:03:277 (10) - into small ones. I guess I followed the consistency argument too closely, will trim down some less prominent notes from finishers into regular notes and aim for a 12/1 finisher pattern instead

Second problem is that I think you have too many notes, like 00:22:027 (33,34,35,36) - here. It dangers the difficulty spread since there's a big jump from Futsuu to Muzu and also makes more noteworthy notes have less impact, even if they are 00:22:965 (37) - big Removed quite a few supplementary notes that din't follow anything too prominent, don't think there should be any major spread issues now


00:00:465 (1) - Why is this one big, while it's not in the lower diffs? Shrunk it, my bad

Remove all Big notes except in 00:32:808- , 01:06:558- is a soft song and unique notable strong sound is in these points. The places where I've used finisher have a clearly distinct drum sound that's low pitch and more intense than the surrounding notes. I feel finishers fit nicely at these points to provide emphasis and variety

Is better with inherited points in 20-30% in all taiko diffs ... about sampleset not sure if have Soft or Normal Really? I find the feedback too low at 20% which is why I have the base at 30%, personal preference I guess. Also I feel Normal sampleset fits way better for Taiko mapping in general, again, Soft just doesn't give enough feedback for me

Usage of two finishes in sequence seems kinda tricky for an entry-level diff, so I'll keep as it is for now. Of course, you can do whatever you think sounds good, but this rhythm should be made easier for a better difficulty curve. Totally agree, didn't realize Kantan was so barren here xD I really prefer to map the current 1/2 triplet as the guitar sounds are much stronger here, so for now I removed 01:08:433 (2,3) so at least there is a short pause before this pattern, should make it easier to read? If the spread still sucks I can come to a further compromise, but I'll try this for now and see how it goes

01:20:621 (19) - You could change this to k if you want to keep consistency with the Muzukashii. It'll also help to create variety. Done

I think this would help with having variety and contrast with the finisher at the end of the pattern. Also, you should add a k at 00:16:636 in the Futsuu for a better difficulty curve. 00:16:636 (14) was k for the high pitch guitar sound, but I get your point, so switched this to ddkkD o provide more balance. Regarding adding a note in Futsuu, I prefer k at 00:16:871 instead for the snare drum, 1/2 beat sounds weird to me here

I chose to only use three because I wanted them to be distinct from each other, but also fit well with the BG and not blend in.

   00:58:121 (2,3,1) - This turn looks a bit tight, try lowering 00:59:058 (3,1) - these, and rotating 00:59:527 (1) - this if necessary. Sure, made this a bit more curvy
3. Normal
   00:29:996 (3,4,5) - Again, the turn is a bit sharp, try this or this. Curved it a tiny bit less, but I quite like the effect this direction change gives. Allowed me to make 00:31:402 (1) a shallower curve too which was bothering me a little before
4. Hard
   Make the circles just a bit bigger, maybe... The map was always intended to be CS5, if I change it now I'll have to respace a lot of patterns to avoid ugly overlaps and such. Not every map has to be difficult because of streams and jumps, aiming and precision is a skill too, and since the song is calm, I decided to use that skill as part of the difficulty instead of other unfitting challenges

   00:27:652 (4,5,6,1) - For this pattern, select 00:28:121 (5,6) - these, drag them back like this, make sure it's a straight line, then place it back. (Sorry if that's a nazi suggestion...) - OD for NM is probably too high for a map with more than half of it LNs. Reduce to ~7.2. The HP is also a little cruel for a NM diff, since there are no streamy sections that could be button mashed, so reduce to ~7?
- HP and OD for HD are a bit too high too, considering 1/4 of it are LNs. Reduce OD to ~7.5 at most, and HP to ~7.4 or so.

[HD]There's no really that much to mod here, but there's just one thing I want to point out, with a few examples. I don't really understand your LN usage. Sometimes, you use an LN to represent the guitar chord like at 00:01:871 (1871|0,4683|1) but you never hold it out for as long as it lasts. For example 00:04:683 (4683|1) is held out until 00:06:090 but it only lasts for 3 beats. Lengthening it to end at 00:05:972 is acceptable because it gives ample time to release the LN and then press the same key again for the next note above (I won't ask that you move it since it's following pitch relevancy from what I can hear).

Aaaah the travails of only having 4 columns to work with! Was probably trying to play safe with giving a whole beat of rest between press an release each time. I played around with some LN lengths to find a good compromise between accurately mapping the song and still being comfortable to play. I had to change one or two columns around to extend everything to downbeats, but it should be very minor

Another thing I don't get are the split LNs like 00:39:840 (39840|0,40308|2) where there's just one chord that encompasses the two LNs. I can understand that 00:40:308 (40308|2) is for the grace note, but this is a hard difficulty, so why not just add it in at 00:40:425 instead of using an LN?

Whilst it is a hard, it's also a somewhat "easy" hard relative to a similarly "easy" normal. I felt like if I was gonna use gracing it had to be quite simple and isolated to avoid the difficulty gap being too excessive. Since there are already graces in this part, I tried to simplify these patterns a bit to avoid it being too tricky. I'm not sure it's the best way of doing what I wanted to achieve, but I'll stick with it for now.

Ok, and final thing is the flute. You use LNs like 00:11:715 (11715|0,12183|1,12652|2,13121|3) to represent the sustained sound since it's very legato, but then you stop using them at 00:13:824 (13824|3,14058|2,14293|1) which breaks the flow you've set up in this section. My suggestion is turning the notes I highlighted into LNs, and adding a note at 00:14:058 for the snare. Of course, all of these suggestions I just made apply to similar areas in the map.

It's another way of looking at it sure, though I personally find those kind of short LNs super annoying to hit properly which is why I didn't use them xD Regarding the flow and consistency, I feel it's actually okay since I am continually alternating between 1/1 LNs and 1/2 single notes in the first and second half of each measure respectively.

It's not that double hitsounds are frowned upon, but if you do want to use two hitsounds at the same place, you'd have to halve their volume (if hitsounding two notes, or divide the vol by 3/4/5, etc) so that they both add up to whatever hitsound vol you originally wanted. The difference here is that I have 2 notes at the same time, so I divided 50 by 2 and applied each hitsound only at 25% this time since the hitsound volume is additive (two hitsounded notes at 25% = 50% total vol).

Basically, the reason why I pointed out all your double hitsounds was because you were just using the editor claps, whistles, and finishes to hitsound (which is fine), which meant that the single notes you hitsounded would have hitsound vol of 30% - 45% whenever it was played, but the double HS would play at 60% - 90% which would be inconsistent and sound much louder than what the player would expect. Hope that made sense orz.
