the aspect ratio on the original was 16:10 ( i think) so i made it 16:9 by cropping a bit from the top and bottom and adding a bit to the right and left. I manually filled in the circles that were cropped, since circles are easy. Here is the new bg:
also the new bg is png because there is a lot of solid color in the image, allowing for the deliciousness of lossless png without the huge file sizes normally associated with png.

And I didn't mod the Risen diff because you added it after your post in my queue so I regard it as WIP. Sorry.

Non-emphasis -- something I think is able to be better in my own opinion.
Bold-emphasis -- something I highly recommend to be fixed.
Red-emphasis -- Unrankable issue or something serious like that.

  1. I'm sorry that I may be honest to point out the things I don't like.
  2. All "the beginning of a section" that I mentioned means the long-white-line/first-white-line. ;)

    00:45:787 (4) - This is used for make the rhythm better but cannot be found in vocal.

  7. 00:49:635 (3) - I highly suggest you add a hitsound on the head. Because the tone of the vocal is high. Emphasizing it DOES make sense. However, I don't know which hitsound should be chosen because no one in your hitsounds fit this IMO. :(

First of all, this HARD difficulty seems a little bit too easy in my opinion, only 3 stars, a low SV and a quite low OD. Before I start, I suggest the following (it's up to you to change them or not):

:arrow: change Overall Difficulty (OD) from 5 to 6
:arrow: change Slider Velocity from 1.40 to 1.50 or 1.60
:arrow: there are too many KIAI time sections, more than 30% of the song is KIAI, consider removing some KIAI sections, for example delete between 00:50:603 and 01:06:070 -(of course, if you decide to do this, you have to edit the other difficulties as well)

00:48:668 (1) - remove NC from here and add it at 00:49:635 (4)
00:54:496 (1) - instead of this slider, I would choose the same style that you chose for 00:57:158 (2,3) here's an image for example:



00:59:093 - add a circle here
01:20:829 (1) - no need for NC here

With the CS being at 0, (which is also against ranking criteria as I had to manually edit the .osu file to change from cs2 to cs0) AR0 actually looks pretty fast and fits well. A full 0 mapset actually plays fairly nicely.

You're sourcing this as Romeo x Juliet but the background and video are from Madoka. It's not like there isn't any video for this song or anything, or any relevant Romeo x Juliet stuff. If you wanna map madoka, map madoka and why has nobody mentioned this before like did it take 6 pages for people to realize "wait a second this isn't madoka

00:43:610 (2) - The jumps are done pretty nicely in this map, but this jump stands out since it doesn't fit that well
00:57:400 (5) - This is so close to being a shape but where this is placed, its not. And a shape would be nice
01:08:006 (1,2,3,1,2) - aaaaaAAAaaAAAaAAa. This isn't really something to really map. This is where a spinner should be. It's not really metronomic, so mapping it doesn't make sense.

Actually this was made to be a beginner map. nothing more, nothing less. If I remove the red points to get everything snapped properly. Then it will conflict with the other difficulties. Using 0.5 Tick rate because this map has double bpm and tick rate 1 (which is basically tick rate 2 on correct BPM) wouldn't fit at all. AR/CS 0 work very well together and actually makes the map easier to play than most people think AR0 does.

I was originally waiting on a timing from elsewhere, but it seems like it won't happen. So even though all of this stuff is unrankable. It has very good reasons to do so. I'm not trying to troll anything here CDFA.

It's still unrankable. If the BPM is double, halve it (on all difficulties). This is a good compromise, is it not? 0.5 was removed for good reason. We assume that mappers use the correct BPM as such.

On top of that, we do not manually edit the .osu files for things like these. This includes your diff settings at zero, fwiw.

Good reason or not, there's still alternative (in turn, more correct) ways to take to avoid all of this.

The timing would help fix almost everything, except the CS issue.

I'm just headstrong about it I guess. I don't know. I've been really tempted to open a thread about manually editing stuff through the .osu file, but when I think twice about it, it really just is about wanting my preferences to be passable, without any other thought. I don't think a reason like that is good enough to create a topic over.

Anyways, sample has taken over my diff for now. I told him to just delete it if it becomes too much of a hassle.

Actually, I think 62 BPM with an offset of 300 seems to be fine throughout the whole song, why not just use that instead? 124 BPM is honestly too fast as it's twice the actual speed

while i am admittedly blindly following the ranked map's timing, they had quite a fuss about the timing over at the ranked version. though its from 2011, im sure if it was just a steady bpm throughout they wouldnt have had that much of a problem timing this. hopefully dkun can get someone on the timing thing soon :D
