This can't be anything to do with the game code unfortunately, the detection allows touches anywhere below (not sure where it is, possibly the top of the drum) extending the whole width of the screen. SO any dead spots can only really be your imagination or hardware.
> When playing any song, if I hit the notes faster than 1/4 there's lag in the presses. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just wont do anything. It's really difficult to explain, but... I also noticed that if you use only one side, you have a better chance at it reading than if you "roll" from side to side like you really should be doing.
Again, if you're using the latest version(1.1), this is most likely a hardware limitation. If i can get hold of a camera I'll record that rapid touches and good performance are possible.
> It crashes. Frequently. (You probably are well aware of this though)
I'm not actually, I had the idea that it was very stable and I'm not getting any error reports on the market, but this may be a false silence then. I actually don't get any crashes.
When you do, can you please send error reports (when android asks you to), it's invaluably helpful. Putting your nick in the comments is also great for getting back to you, or if you're feeling super bored type in a word or two about what happened/when/how.[/quote]
> When I started playing, I could tell it was off. I went to offset and it was default 70. I set it back to 0, and it worked perfectly fine (I used auto to listen to it to make sure it sounded right just in case). I have no idea why default was 70. Is it just how it is, or did it "guess" that from my phone?
This I can understand. Android MediaPlayer is horrible for rhythm games when it starts playing, it often induces a small offset that you can't predict and reports incorrect positions in the song. I've introduced a few quirks to try and stabilize the offset and it's semi-reliable.
The offset however is device specific. It's good to know your device needs 0, means it is more stable, my Nexus S and a number of other devices need 70 though. I think the Nexus one works well with 50.
Until I put in quite a bit of work for native audio playback/decoding as Pesets has done, this may be an issue for some devices/maps.
(If pesets let me use his native playback code this could be done in no time <: , but as if...)

Is this just the return button? I've heard people say things about the return button but never experienced it myself...
Suggestions:

Planned and planned (first one sooner)
> I love love love the blue theme, but I think the results screen could use a little more color, or at least shading to make it stand out a bit more.
Thanks, this was on my mind too, I'll take a look
> A switch to hide songs that don't have "taiko only" modes (I realize this would hide taikosu too, but im not sure how to "add" taikosu to the list of "taiko only")
This is a good idea, I'll put it on the list <:
> Support for custom skins (I love TnT but I love the custom skins more)
I actually have the functionality for this but it's half-complete and brings a headache for resolution support (remember devices range from around 200x400 up to 1280x800) I'll put it low on the list

Plaaaaaned
> Slightly bigger bars for the song listing. I'll admit my phone's screen is pretty big, but the bars still show up as small and my thumb is bigger than the bars...
Are you sure? Do you have trouble pressing them? I understand they're small, but that's to fit more on-screen,
For the future:
> Maybe add support for the physical keys on Xperia Play (making the key settings match Taiko PS A/B/C). If I could handle the code for this, I'd do it myself...
I can take a look, on the list it goes <:
> Custom hitsounds+special drum. Kinda like in the TnT games where you could earn special drums (and in Youkai Daikessen they were similar to weapons in RPGs) but instead you could just choose between the drums. I miss my frying-pan drum! ;o;/
Maybe, maybe, I was thinking about the future for an experience/leveling/unlocking system, but this is obviously getting way ahead, thanks though
> Mods: like double time, hard rock, hidden, flashlight, etc
Of course, give it time, quite low priority
Ok I'ma cut this off here so I can go sleep. If I think of anything else, I'll add it in later! /o/
Thanks very much, all of this is greatly appreciated!
