For the storyboard nerds, I used a custom google apps script to automatically generate the V1 hand and button animations, and modified the Storybrew projectile effect to add realistic gravity to particles.
Storyboarded Gameplay Generator
Written with google apps script for google sheets. I need to add a tutorial on how to use it but its currently customizable and working.
Storybrew Projectiles Script
Written in C# for use with Storybrew. I wrote it for the blood splatter on the finishers. Unfortunately, it has a bug where any projectiles that are launched to the left and rotate past -270 degrees will have a moment in which they suddenly do a full rotation due to going from negative angles to positive angles. I have no background in C# and cobbled this up with faith so I have no clue what's happening.
The gimmick of this map (apart from the storyboard) is to have a few breaks as possible to simulate the feeling of fighting the boss this song is for.
He does NOT give you time to breath, you just have to keep moving, shooting and parrying just to stay alive.
Osu!lazer shows that the song could use a +5ms overall to all timing points. In general its a bit early.
I just noticed that it does form a star trail and that's cute as hell. However, you could argue that it does mean me
given the context (as in "a fan letter written to me" or "Letter Me"), and that the star was added later for the cute detail. If you could provide a source more definitely proving that the 彡
was added for the star or if 彡
was an intentional part of the title and they added the star later.
Obviously, I'd also need evidence proving this point, which I don't have, but if you do have something of note then this can be resolved quickly. If we both have nothing, this will have to be a @help - metadata
moment just to be safe.
I have been summoned for mediation.
While I understand that this isn't entirely faithful to the original song, I disagree in thinking that it ruins the integrity of the original song.
First of all, nobody here is the artist, so nobody should even be arguing that in the first place. Second, the male vocals of the original song are terrible and I genuinely prefer them cut out. Third, the current cut still feels like a song, way more than some songs can claim to. Fourth, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's bad; there are going to be PLENTY of people who will enjoy this cut.
As to the point of it feeling like this is an attempt to get a map quickly onto ranked, I think its a bad argument.
A 30 second map is still a map that needs to be thoroughly checked by a BN, it's still effort. Additionally, ranking a 30s song is perfectly valid and we've done it for years now. This isn't new at all. If you don't want people ranking "easy maps", then take it up with the Ranking Criteria and hundreds of maps that have set a precedent. If you explicitly allow somebody to do something, don't be surprised when they do.
This veto is frivolous in my opinion. This map is genuinely tame compared to maps we've let slide with no issues. The only point I agree with is about the tags, and that's really it.
