I don't know if this mapset can pass under the "approved" category... You might need to make an Easy/Normal difficulty because this song is under 5 minutes in length.

Extra and Lunatic are very similar in style... Both employ a lot of 3-stacks, 5 streams, and the scream parts are very similar with their use of 3/4 sliders... Also their difficulties are 0.08 apart which should be a concern. Consider increasing the difficulty of Extra, or lowering the difficulty of Lunatic because currently, they are too similar.

00:11:426 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Perfect hexagon pattern? 5, 6, slightly off.

01:24:796 Stack this triplet so this part isn't so convoluted. Probably the previous triplet as well; that way it'll match up with 02:16:155.
03:08:491 This slider has a corner on the left side (doesn't flow smoothly) and looks really awkward.
03:52:187 You might consider taking out this stream to balance out the spread and replace it with a spinner or something. That is, if you opt to make the Lunatic easier instead of having the Extra be harder.

For Lunatic, good mod but a lot of things were things I'd like to keep rather than change. Some things would catch people off guard playing lunatic if they can't play extra. Like if they wanted that they should play extra xD. Everything else did help indeed...now to fix extra xD

  2. 01:21:046 (4) - most of the time the strong beats in the music land on the white ticks, and usually circles or the start of sliders are used to emphasize these strong beats. It will sound better here if you have the slider start on a white tick, so you can either move it to 01:20:883 - or 01:21:209 - in this case
  3. 01:22:513 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - might be confusing to the player if you only put 1 clap on the first triplet, 2 claps on second and then suddenly three on the third. imo it sounds better to have the clap only on the first note of each triplet
  4. 01:23:818 - the stream here is a bit long, I really liked how you did it in your extra diff with the triplets
  5. 01:50:231 (4) - you can try something like this to help it flow better:
  6. 01:54:470 (6) - this will flow well into the next slider if you ctrl+g

    Putting a circle at 02:49:578 - will map the finish sound in the music (don't forget to add a finish hitsound!)
  4. 03:53:165 (13) - imo it sounds better without the clap since it sounds out of place. The finish hitsound alone is good enough

Thanks a lot for modding my map <3. I just got around to updating it with your changes! Just saying I have not forgotten to mod your map. Just have been really busy as of late, I literally just got on osu for two seconds to check this mod out...and make the corrections needed. Tomorrow I doubt I will even be home. But saturday I can spend some time modding probably. Or tomorrow if I get home. Thanks for the mod though and be patient.

Forgot to mention that you need to disable widescreen support and letterbox, since those options are only for if your map has a storyboard.

  1. Please try to improve your English when modding other English mapper's maps...it was kind of hard to understand what you were saying some of the time (do forgive me if I miss-interpret what you have said)
  2. Try to give a lot of suggestions that the mapper can try. A mod is not simply picking out what definitely looks wrong. It's about giving the mapper ideas to fix his/her map. You're not telling them to do stuff, you're asking them.

Having 1.0 SV with 0.8 DS constantly throughout the diff will also allow for more appealing patterns, because right now I feel like this diff is super, super rough. Personally, I think remapping with the aforementioned SV/DS, and using easier, simpler patterns would be best. Feel free not to listen to me though, just a shitty suggestion, I know remapping 4 minutes of an Easy is super tedious.

From your M4M queue - I like Touhou and I like metal so it makes perfect sense to mod this ;) Some of these suggestions may have been brought up by the previous modder (I didn't read that you hadn't applied yet, my fault), so apologies if I'm repeating stuff.

General Comments:
  1. Widescreen Support enabled in Easy and Normal diffs - this can be turned off since you don't have a SB
  2. Audio preview time for Scarlet diff is at 01:03:926 but for all other difficulties it's at 01:01:655. I personally think it sounds better at 01:01:655, but either is fine, so just ensure these are consistent for all diffs
  3. You have a lot of unsnapped objects across all diffs, presumably from when you made a SV change, changed an offset or something similar. These are all in AImod so I won't comment on them from now on
  4. Why do Easy, Normal and Hard diffs have no kiai timed sections? I'm fine with your choice of kiai on Lunatic and Scarlet, so just copy across the timing points do the same for the other diffs please.
  5. All your hitsounds are set to 50%, which feels a little bland. Try to increase the volume of a few important/dramatic parts of the music such as kiai sections and choruses, but don't go overboard or you wont be able to hear the music. Try 65-70% in these areas, and maybe only 35-40% in really quiet sections that are mapped (i.e. quiet but not breaks)
Timing Comments:
There were getting to be too many and it was clogging up General, so I decided to move them down here.
  1. One of the previous modders mentioned uninherited timing point conflicts - where your red timing points aren't the same across all difficulties, likely from when you changed an offset at some point and they snapped weirdly. There are a few of these you need to change so I'll post about them in their respective difficulties, but long story short is that everything is correct for Normal (at least it sounds that way to me) so I would ensure all of your timing points match up to what you have in that diff. You can manually change the offset in the timing setup menu.
  2. The first and third timing points denote a change to 7/4 time signature, so you should make this clear in the timing setup menu so you don't get flooded with "why so many red points at the start of the song that don't do anything? o_O" comments.
  3. After the 3rd timing point, the song stays in 7/4 until just before the spinner (at 00:14:686 I believe) so you should move the 4th timing point (denoting a return to 4/4) to here.
  4. There is a 7/4 section at 00:20:230 until what is currently your 5th timing point, meaning you need include another timing point here.
  5. 7/4 starts again briefly at 00:30:339 and lasts until 00:32:948.
  6. 7/4 starts again at 01:25:121 and lasts until what is currently your 6th timing point.
  7. The section beginning at 03:36:538 is timed in 6/4, and this lasts until 03:50:233 so you'll need some more timing points here.

Easy
The distance snapping in this diff is generally too high and inconsistent throughout, as high as 1.9x in some places such as 00:25:460 (6,7) - for Easy and Normal you should pick a distance snap and stick to it throughout. I'd go for 1.0-1.2x in Easy since this is a relatively high tempo song. Because I feel the ds needs changing, I won't comment on flow too much unless 1) It's really weird/awkward or 2) changing ds won't affect it much.

00:10:130 - The timing point here is at 00:10:122
00:12:416 - This timing point is at 00:12:404 in other diffs

00:11:434 (2) - Feel this would look better at [y-100] so the slider head is in line with (1) and it blankets better with (3)

00:13:720 (1) - This flows nicer if you Ctrl+H, but keep the slider head at the same point. Also, the distance spacing from here to (2) is quit large for an Easy diff :3, but this note is obviously not snapped how you intended, so this might not be relevant once you fix that

00:15:106 (1) - Having a spinner 1/4 after a note in Easy seems a bit harsh to me. I know it's a long spinner, but it still took me by surprise! I think it sounds fine starting on the white tick at 00:15:350 and ending one beat before where it currently ends at, at c (see below)

00:17:633 - There's a very strong beat in the music here which I feel deserves to be "clickable". You could move the spinner end back one beat to 00:17:307 and place a circle here

00:21:709 (2,3) - Overlapping sliders can look a little confusing to newer players, so I would remove the repeat on (2) to give more than a 1/2 gap between the two sliders
00:23:992 (4,5) - ^

00:25:460 (6) - NC here, as a 9 note combo is too large for Easy

00:25:460 (6,7,8,9) - This slider section looks a bit messy to me. Change (6) so it's a more symmetrical curve and blankets better with (7), then make (7) and (8) symmetrical (remove one, copy+paste the other). Lastly, move the start of (9) up to [y-52] and add a little more of a curve to the tail if you can.

00:31:329 (2,3) - Move (2) to [x-204,y-164] and the head of (3) to [x-112,y-164] to make this pattern look neater

00:32:960 (1,2) - Fix blanketing to neaten this up
00:34:916 (3,4) - ^

00:37:525 (5) - NC here, as the 10 note combo is too long
00:47:960 (5) - ^

00:56:764 - Very minor, but you could drag the break so it starts on the white tick here (and for all other breaks as well), which looks a little better in play IMO

01:04:264 (1,2) - The blanketing here is much better. Try and follow what you've done here for your other sliders (in Easy and Normal at least) to neaten them up

01:06:873 (3,4,1) - Make slider heads/ends line up for better flow

01:10:786 (2,3) - Fix blanketing

01:12:335 - The break doesn't really do a lot for me here. I understand why you've done it, but it just makes the flow of gameplay feel stuttered, so I would throw a few notes in here to map the drums or guitar

01:43:078 (3) - This would flow better if you rotated it 90 degrees cw

01:45:361- This is an intense section of music, and really deserves to be mapped!

02:15:035 - Place a 1/1 slider here, the large gap to the spinner seems pretty pointless as it is now

02:41:774 (4) - Rotate this 90 degrees cw and Ctrl+J to improve flow

03:47:303 (3) - Rotate 180 degrees and Ctrl+G here to improve flow

03:49:585 - Place a 1/1 slider here for the strong snare beats

Normal
DS 1.5x is maybe a little bit too high for a typical Normal, but it's a high-tempo song so don't feel you have to change it (unless a BN tells you to ;)) . Either way, it's definitely not as bad as it was for Easy.

I would use AR5 here; the song is fast, but not really fast enough to justify AR6 IMO. Also, you want a sensible difficulty curve, and you're not leaving much to play with for the rest of the set if the Normal is AR6.

There's a few too many 1/2 sliders in this difficulty for my taste. 1/2 sliders should be used sparingly, if at all in Normal diffs.

00:17:621 - Same point as 00:17:633 in Easy, I feel there should be a circle to click here

00:21:860 (1,2,3,4,5) - Some of the notes in this hexagon pattern are a little out of place, so you should tidy them up if you can

Just an update quickly. Really busy with school and SATs so I have little to no time to actually fully map. The best I can do is fix AiMods at the meantime. But after that I can start working on mods and then give you guys some in return, sorry for the wait.

On the topic of a bunch of unsnapped objects: For some reason, when changing time I forgot to take note of the millions of unsnapped notes apologies for that. They are all being taken care of as we speak.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't Easies are supposed to have constant distance snap? Even if it isn't right, I feel the DS is too high, even with the lowered SV. Having 1.0 SV with 0.8 DS constantly throughout the diff will also allow for more appealing patterns, because right now I feel like this diff is super, super rough. Personally, I think remapping with the aforementioned SV/DS, and using easier, simpler patterns would be best. Feel free not to listen to me though, just a shitty suggestion, I know remapping 4 minutes of an Easy is super tedious. I'll consider this change, but I am unsure if it'll be implemented.

For Normal mode: Lots of things to make it easier. DS's will be worked on but I aimed normal mode to be stepping stone from normal Normal players to Hard. Thanks for the suggestions but I won't use some of them.
For Lunatic: Liked your ideas but felt some of them were a bit irrelevant for what I was going for. Thanks a lot for helping tho!

General: The mp3 sounds bad, it's too low quality. I think you should see if you can find a better one.

Overall, I'd say that the SV is too high and that the streams are, on average, ugly. It'll be hard to get it ranked, I think.

- Those uninherited timing changes at the start feel kind of confusing to play, especially on the easier levels. I'm not really sure what to do about them though, and all I can suggest is asking someone a bit mroe experienced with weird timings.

- I feel that the general spacing of every note is pretty large for an Easy. If it were me, I'd tone it down, although doing that takes quite a lot of reworking.
- 00:25:472 (6) - New combo here since the current combo already spans over a lot of measures, and this is right after an uninherited point.
- 00:38:189 (6) - Same thing here. I personally wouldn't recommend spanning any combo over 4 measures for this song.

Almost done with implimenting Screaming Eyes but one thing I wanna mention: A couple of the things that you pointed me out on were me making mistakes. They weren't intentional. So thanks for pointing them out but it seemed like you thought I did them intentional because to me, I'd have to be retarded to make some of these mistakes (really the purple ticks mess up and that (6) jump right after the stream without a spacing in time... both were stupid mess ups but I don't think it was me messing up it was the map itself glitching... weird...)

00:21:697 (2,3) - You should not let these overlap since it's an easy. Same for 00:23:980 (4,5). Though it's questionable whether a 1/2 gap between notes is ok for an easy at all.

01:12:755 (1,2,3) - Not sure if this is intentional or not, but this does not make a straight line and I feel like you wanted one to be there (move (3) to fix). If it's not a line it looks rather weird to me.
01:42:097 (1,2,3,4,5) - This looks really awkward to me, probably because the difference in the curve of the slider and the stream is so huge. I'd probably make the stream curve a little more.

  6. 00:40:145 (3) - make this flatter for better flow from (2) and blanketing, etc...
