First of all I want to say I've never ever modded before and i'm not very experienced with what you "should" and should not have in a beatmap, but i'll try to point out some places you could change in the song.

00:02:159->00:02:325
I think they are too close to each other, distance snapping isn't followed. I think it feels a little bit awkward.

00:20:825->00:21:159
I think the notes are too close. It might ruin the flow a bit.

00:46:159->00:46:325->00:46:492
Jumps here are smaller compared to the notes before. This feels uncomfortable. Try to have the same space whole all six notes.

00:56:825
This note shouldn't be stacked according to me. I don't know if other like to have a sudden stack in a "jump-combo" but I don't like it. Try to move the note a bit

00:59:159->00:59:325
Even though it looks symmetric which is satisfying :D , I don't believe you should have that much of a jump. You have the same space between the notes in the whole combo. That doesn't feel good, try to move the notes after 00:59:325 or make 00:59:325 closer to 00:59:159.

Those adjustments are not crucial for the beatmap but they might give that extra feel. Otherwise, nice beatmap, hope it gets ranked sometime.

Thanks for the feedback! I was actually messing around with the beatmap for the past few days and I didn't like some of the stuff myself, so I did change it, but I'll take into consideration what you said as well :)

Were you referring to the 1-->2, the 3-->4, or the 4-->5? I'm not entirely sure. Either way, I changed the notes from 00:02:325-->00:02:659 to something that hopefully flows better.

I ended up reversing the start and end position of the slider at 00:21:159, so hopefully it feels better now.

I ended up changing the jump to something that's hopefully more comfortable.

There's still a stack in the jump-combo, but I changed it so that "4" is on stacked with "5" instead of being stacked with "3".

I ended up moving the note in question closer to the center of the map. Hopefully it flows better?

Well, here's to hoping :)

Nice! The beatmap feels better now about the "flow".

I believe there should be more colours, either more gradiations of yellow or maybe add another color, light blue for example(A bright color ofcourse ;) )

Next thing to work with is the hitsounds, that is a must have in a beatmap. I would suggest mainly using "soft-whistle" and "soft-normal" and sometimes add a louder sound like a crash or a whistle.

This beatmap will need more difficulties in the future. I might be able to help if you want to :P.

You might want to check out my beatmap as well. :)

Good luck!!!

PS: Quick question. By giving me a Kudosu will you also get one?

Glad to hear that it flows better, it's still something I'm working on :)

I am planning on doing more difficulties; I have some ideas on what I want to do but nothing solid yet.

I'll definitely check out your beatmap when I have the time!

Also, to answer your question, no I don't get kudosu for giving you one.

Hii!

The map is sugoii,, got something to mod tho!

General
nothing :3

Easy
00:04:849 (1) - the spinner is waaayy too short and fast for easy mode :o
00:03:682 (3) - make the slider this long.. till 00:04:515
00:04:682 - and begin the spinner here till 00:05:932
01:26:849 (2) - delete this one and add the spinner start here from 01:27:015 (1) so it should be this: spinner start: 01:26:849 (1) - spinner end: 01:27:682 -
also change the offset from the spinner ^^ to 0.50

Normal
same with the spinner at easy make it longer
00:04:849 (1) - make this spinner longer till 00:05:849
00:34:849 (4) - add a slider here till 00:35:015 - goes nice with the rythm.

Hard
00:16:682 (5,6) - 00:16:849 - 2 notes here.. the long slider makes it boring and doesn't nicely flow with the rythm :^
00:19:515 - 1 note here :_:
00:26:682 (4,5,6) - add these here :3
00:31:349 - 1 note here,,
00:43:224 (3,4) - set this up like this.. the previous one didn't sound nice..

Insane
nuthing to add atm :)

Thanks for the tip on the spinners! I was playing around with it and I agree, they need to be longer than what they currently are
I changed the speed of the slider at 00:03:682 (3) so that it goes to 00:04:349 instead of 00:04:515, and I added a note at 00:04:682; it felt a little odd having a slider end at 00:04:515 in my opinion
Moved the last spinner at the end like you suggested, and it definitely feels better

Adjusted the spinner at the beginning to be longer
Adjusted the note at 00:34:849 so that it's a slider now, and it definitely flows better; thanks for the suggestion :)

I agree with you with the slider at 00:16:682 being too long, and I did separate it into two notes; however, I used a slider at 00:16:515 for the second note instead
Added a note at 00:19:515; it feels better :)
Confused by what you meant by "add these here", but I turned the note at 00:26:682 into a slider and got rid of the (5); this feels better than having two separate notes in my opinion
Added the note at 00:31:349 and the maps feels like it flows better :)
Have to disagree with you on the note at 00:43:224; I think it feels fine and moving the note forward by a couple milliseconds doesn't really change that much in my opinion :o

Overall, thanks for your suggestions; really helped me out with figuring out how to better map easy, normal and hard maps :)
I find them more difficult to map compared to insane maps lol

Hello! From my queue
This anime is <3 (but going to wait until season 2 is done before I watch)

General

  1. There is still a lot of work to be done, but you probably know that :P
  2. The offset is way too early, and I highly suggest changing it to somewhere around 1036
  3. No hitsounds (read the queue description, might be able to help you out a bit)
  4. Please give a bit more variety tot he combo colors. They help the player reading the map but also gives a more colorful and pleasant experience when playing. Take a darker yellow and some other colors (this yellow blends quite a lot with the backgroud)
  5. There is no kiai, you might want to add it where the chorus is (starting from 00:49:035 (1) - lasting until 01:10:369 (1) - )
  6. The background image is 1109x768, which is rankable but it's better to use a 1366x768 image. Also the audio file is 128 kbps. Same problem: quality is fine, but if you manage to find a higher quality one it is always appreciated.
Insane

  1. I think you did a good job on the use of object, rhythm wise. However, the spacing was quite often confusing and there are a lot of overlaps that look terrible. I will try to help you out a bit :D
  2. Regarding spacing, the patterns you choose are okay, though sometimes a bit weird. At some places (00:08:869 (1) - for example) you did a good job emphasizing a new downbeat, but most of the time you stick very close to the distance snap.
  3. Things like these are confusing 00:18:702 (5,6,7) - because of the gap on the timeline, so consider either moving 6 and 7 more apart (In this case it is better to stick to the distance snap, because otherwise you will cause reading issues), or making 6 a slider/doing something similar to this 00:29:535 (5) - . The latter sounds the best to me and it also makes more sense than making an awkward gap like that. There Same with 00:21:535 (7,8) - 01:04:202 (7,8) - 01:06:535 (5) - 01:14:702 (5,6) -
  4. 00:30:035 (6,1) - Also here you are creating an awkward gap, and since there is a new downbeat spacing like this would be extremely confusing in most cases. Consider making 6 a slider/2 circles in order to solve this, though there are a lot more possibilities. Same issue here 00:32:702 (6,1) - 00:43:035 (4,5,6,1,2) -
  5. 00:43:035 (4,5,6) - Another issu with spacing. Most people will simply miss here because you cannot expect the 3/4 gap here. There are several techniques to do this with circles and still make it readable, however a more simple solution would be using a return slider. Testplay the map yourself, don't you think it is confusing as well?
  6. Don't throw around with the slider velocities like that :( A lot of people use a slightly higher velocity (notice, slightly) in the chorus, but keep it quite consistent throughout the rest of the map. These changes 01:18:202 (1) - 00:56:035 (5) - do not really make sense, but they are also waaay too much. A lot of people will at least get a slider release here because it's suddenly very slow. There is also no reason for the speed up at the end. The SV change here 00:38:869 (4) - does make sense, but is a little overdone. Something like x0.75 would probably fit a lot better.
  7. 00:02:202 (1) - Blankets are fun, however, do them a little more properly. This is an example, but there are a lot more
  8. 00:12:035 (2,3,4) - I don't think this needs explanation. Overlaps like these do not look very visually appealing. move the objects more apart, and reposition them if you don't want them to go out of the grid. Same issue here 00:20:869 (4,6) - 00:21:369 (6,8) - 00:26:202 (5,1) - 00:26:869 (1,1) - 00:32:202 (5,1) - 00:46:285 (8,1,6) - 00:52:035 (2,4) - 00:53:535 (3,4) - 01:10:369 (1,2,3,5,7,8) - . Especially veeery slight overlaps look bad
  9. 00:13:369 (6) - A return slider does not really fit imo, consider using a circle followed by a slider, since the first trumpet note is rather short so it will emphasize the instrument a lot better. Same here 01:25:869 (4) - . The trumpet plays 2 notes, so a circle followed by a slider would make more sense so you can represent both in the map.
  10. 00:27:285 (2,3,4,5,6) - There is no stream in the music, so you're really overmapping here. Listen to the music and map what you can hear, not what you can't. Sometimes a triple is fine in my opinion, but an entire stream like this not. Same issue here 00:37:952 (2,3,4,5,6) - 00:46:119 (6,7,8) -
  11. 01:05:535 (2) - Pretty much every off-beat slider you used was fine, since the slider head represented a starting sound in the music (mostly vocal). However, there is not reason to use it here, since the voice starts on the slider end, which would better be a starting slider or a circle so you can tap it.
  12. 01:27:702 (1) - The sound you can hear in the music is 1/6 and not 1/4 like the current one.
Phew that really took some time to explain. There are basically the same issues in the easier difficulties, and spacing becomes really important then. If you are not sure, using the distance snap will help you avoid the above problems. Especially in normals and easies using the distance snap is very important, or it will become unreadable for most starters. Also keep enough space between a spinner and the next object after the the spinner (looking at the easy and normal >.>)

About hitsounding

First of all I noticed how you selected every object and changed the sampleset to soft. However you can use the green lines (inherited points) to do this instead. It is a lot easier that way.
Hitsounding is not as hard as you might think. The best thing to do is to listen closely to the music. Can you hear a cymbal or something? use a finish. Can you hear a drum snare like here 00:06:682 (2) - Slider end of 00:07:015 (4) - Slider end of 00:07:849 (6) - 00:08:682 (8) - ,...? Use a clap to represent it

If you want help regarding this, PM me in game instead, this way I can be a lot more useful than posting a 6516565 sentences long text. Pretty much every more experienced mapper knows how to do this, and there are several that are happy to help you out as well, like most BNs.

Good luck with the mapset!

- Ahh, I had a feeling I had the offset off. I was running it through multiple times and I kept changing the offset since it didn't feel right. although it doesn't really matter anymore because the audio has been changed lol
- I was originally planning to go with dark yellow, orange, blue, and a darkish green colour, but since the show is literally based around blonde hair I decided to use multiple shades of yellow. I'll probably switch back to my original plan though
- Kiai is definitely planned, but I wanted to make sure everything else was good before I added it in
- Fun fact: the original size of the background is 4Kx5K or something like that; guessing osu! resized it or something? Anyways, I replaced the background with the same background that's 1366x768
- Regarding audio, I replaced it with a 256 version edit: converted it into 192kbps version. Hope it's better for the ears :P

- I've had it like this for a while now, and I personally don't find it that confusing, but I understand what you mean by it not being too readable, so I adjusted it quite significantly along with the rest of the map lol. I'll probably change the (4-5-6) into a return slider if other modders continue to see this as an issue

- Yes, because drastic SV changes are the devil :o
- Seriously though, I readjusted all of the SVs with your suggestions in mind. the x0.75 does work better than the x0.50 after testing it for quite some time, and I got rid of the x1.25 and replaced it with a x1.1. Also made it so that it is x1.1 only during the chorus and x.075 only during the buildup to the chorus.

01:24:849 (1) - less curved for better blanket
01:26:849 (8) - fix by moving to x208 y192. you cant be doing this on purpose right D:
01:27:682 (1) - if follow above mod, move to x280 y172 and second sliderpoint from sliderstart to x316 y188.

- Regarding audio, I replaced it with a 256 version. Hope it's better for the ears :P
According to the ranking criteria 192 kbps is the maximum allowed, so if you can, convert the better version you have now, to this.
Also on a side note, the green lines you used are somewhere random between 2 notes, but it will affect the object you place it on as well, so it's better to move them to a certain white/red tick because the last thing you want is unsnapped kiai, etc. The kiai starts on the downbeat and ends on that as well iirc, so make sure the inherited points are set right there.

EDIT: I will try to provide you with an mp3 if I'm able to this afternoon, since I'm not sure if there's not a better sound-quality version of it, but doesn't sound at its best atm (yes I do care about that)

edit: now with comments!

small notice: I ended up redesigning most of the insane map, but I still took into consideration your comments when redesigning it, so that hopefully the flow feels better :)

Anxient wrote:

00:32:682 (6) - might wanna snap with 4 if follow ^
- Lo and behold, another pattern I ended up completely changing (sorry)
- However, the new pattern follows the same rhythm as the previous pattern (it's literally just in a different place now) but the arc is more defined this time around

Anxient wrote:

00:44:182 (4) - for this you can either rotate by -28 degrees, from that point or move to x280 y140. why? because slider track position makes it look ugly
00:44:849 (1) - ctrl+g for circular flow
- Ended up making this pattern similar to the pattern at 00:04:849, so it's less ugly now (also the flow is now circular)

Anxient wrote:

- I swear I'm not doing this on purpose I didn't even notice that x208 y192 would make the slider look more appealing. Even though this part has been slightly changed so that the ending repeat slider is now inside the circle instead, it's more centered than previously, so thanks for that tip!

Anxient wrote:

hi~from your m4m queue :)
I'm a new modder so what I discussed below are just suggestions :) Feel free to ignore them if you think they're useless

[Easy]
01:04:045 (6) - better do not use 1/2 sliders in an easy diff
01:26:879 (1) - I think it should stop at here 01:27:879

[Normal]
Regarding hitsounds:using 100%N is too noisy ;w; try to use soft and turn down the volume
00:11:379 (6,1) - ds inconsistency---I'm not sure whether it's allowed in a normal diff
00:19:712 (1,2) - potential blanket
01:02:379 (1) - rhythm inconsistency with former sentence
01:26:879 (1) - I think it should stop at here 01:27:879

[Hard]
00:15:545 (6) - didn't stack well
00:43:295 (5,6) - rhythm a bit difficult,try to avoid this
00:53:879 (5) - move to 00:53:712 -
01:00:379 (2,3,4,5) - not beautiful enough, you can make it either straighter or smoothier
01:04:712 - add a note?
01:23:545 (1,2) - potential blanket
01:26:879 (1) - I think it should stop at here 01:27:879

[Insane]
00:46:379 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - please do not put all these notes at the same position :o less overlap will make it more beautiful
00:53:879 (9) - strange, move it to 00:53:712 - and add a note at 00:54:212 -
00:54:379 (1,2) - improve blanket
00:56:045 (5) - extend it to 1/1 by adding a reverse arrow (like 00:55:045 (3) )
And pay more attention on flow :)
Good Luck!

- The 1/2 slider only shows up once on the entire map, so I don't really think it's that big of a deal.
- The spinner at 1:26:879(1) does seem a bit too long though. Ended up making it shorter. Did the same for Normal and Hard.

- awawawawawa I thought I had the hitsounds set to soft ;w; how embarrassing Fixed the hitsounds though :)
- the ds inconsistency at 00:11:379(6, 1) was intentional to emphasize the new combo/downbeat. If other modders find it to be an issue I'll fix it, but for now it'll be left alone.
- fixed the blanket at 00:19:712(1, 2)
- I ended up moving the note at 00:59:712(1) closer to 00:59:545(7) because the distance between the two felt pretty big.
- I don't find the rhythm to be inconsistent at 01:02:379. Granted that it feels oddly slow compared to the previous combo, so this will be considered, especially if another modder points it out as well.

- The rhythm at 00:43:295(5, 6) is intentional, so it will be left the same.
- Ended up moving the slider at 00:53:879(5) so that it stacks with 00:53:712(4); thanks for that idea!
- I feel that moving the slider from 00:53:879(5) to 00:53:712 will make the flow of the map there seem off, so I left this alone.
- Made the pattern at 01:00:379(2, 3, 4, 5) more straight.
- Added a slider at 01:04:712
- Blanketed 01:23:545(1) around 01:24:045(2). Thanks for the idea!

- Thanks for the suggestion at 00:46:379! Made it so that it's a star jump instead of triangle jump.
- It sounds off if I move the slider to 00:53:712 and add a note at 00:54:212 in my opinion. However, I ended up moving the slider to 00:53:545 and added a slider at 00:54:045 :)
- The slider at 00:54:379(1) was never intended to blanket 00:54:879(2), so I left it as is
- Made the slider at 00:56:045(5) into a reverse slider and it does feel better!
- Also, I think the flow is fine, but there's always room for improvement :)

I'm sorry If the mod display doesn't looks beautiful because I want to go faster . I hope the mods still beautiful though xD

I won't say anything same twice

Let's gooo

Easy
  1. 00:05:712 (8,1) - Check distance snap between these
  2. 00:11:045 (6,1) - Same as above
  3. Okay, I will throw you something .-.
I guess your Easy have too many inconsistency of Distance snap . Please, use distance snap carefully since this diff directed to beginner players . You know that beginner will confused because of inconsistency distance snap . Try to remap your Easy since there's too many of Inconsistency of distance snap
With this, I can't mod your Easy

Normal
  1. Same as Easy, you have too many inconsistency of distance snap . Since this is Normal and directed to advanced player but still have low reflects, they will go confused too though

Hard
  1. 00:12:045 (2,3,4,5) - Make a longer distance between these notes since these all use 1/1 slider without 1/2 pattern
  2. 00:16:879 - The strong beat appears at here so you must put 00:17:045 (1) - on it and delete 00:16:879 (9) - also you move that clap on (9) to head of slider (1)
  3. 01:26:879 - Put a note here so you can start spinner at 01:27:045 - since you must clarified the strong beat before it starts to disappear into a spinner head that doesn't have any sounds

Insane
  1. 00:10:629 (6) - Delete this . I think it's overmapped
  2. 00:26:212 (4,7) - This overlap still visible and looks bad too though . Move (4) to somewhere to avoid this
  3. 00:29:295 (7) - Delete . Overmapped
  4. 00:31:962 (7) - ^
  5. 01:26:879 (4) - Move this to somewhere . I think it's off-screen . You could put 01:27:712 (1) - to another place to avoid overlap . If you still want to put it on the center of slider (4), please don't make an overlap

This is what I can do for you .-.
Please, your map is fine but you must keep notice that you must using consistence distance snap on Normal and Easy . It's fine on Hard but you must put 1/1 pattern with a better distance and you must not put it on the same distance as 1/2 pattern . Keep remember my word . I think it will be useful sometimes

Remove them both

00:29:545 (4,5) - ^^
01:00:379 (2,3,4) - I don't recommend doing this so much, maybe change in to a medium slider with reverse
01:13:045 (1,2) - Replace for a slider
01:24:879 (4) - End the slider here instead?

Easy
00:41:045 (1) - Maybe Ctrl+G? That's a pretty huge jump for easy diff players
00:47:379 (1) - Spinner should start here
01:03:713 (5,6) - About this, you should probably change it. Maybe do this:

Hello, from my queue.

Thank you for modding Slit last time :3!

[General]

  1. Disable countdown in all diffs? Cuz it's not working at all lol.
  2. In all diffs, I think you can add some whistle in the period before 00:06:212 (1) -
  3. The default clap sounds really annoy me. You can try use default hitnormal sound as clap sound. Download here  http://puu.sh/hmbH2/eeb25a1440.wav
[Easy]

  1. 00:01:046 (1) - try a whistle?
  2. 00:11:045 (6,1) - well, you need to make the spacing consistent in Easy diff. Spacing errors are unrankable issues in Easy diff :3 You can press alt while adjusting your spacing~~
  3. 00:22:379 (1) - ^, I would not point the spacing problems~You can fix them yourselves
  4. 00:41:045 (1) - why is this slider twisted to the opposite direction at the beginning?
    del the slider knot here
  5. 00:49:045 (1) - According to current ranking criteria, you need to remain at least 2 beats after a spinner. So basically my suggestion is change the spinner into a long slider.
  6. 01:26:879 (1) - try a whistle?
[Normal]

  1. Basically in a Normal, you are still required to follow the consistent spacing. So I'm not going to point them out in very details~~I think you can adjust them yourselves.
  2. 00:49:045 (1) - spinner issue similarly in Easy diff
  3. 00:51:712 (4) - I think maybe you can try avoid overlap with 00:50:712 (2) - , for example:
  4. 01:10:879 (2) - stack on 01:09:045 (6) - ?
  5. 01:26:879 (1) - whistle?
[Hard]

  1. 00:12:379 (3) - from here I think the rhythm would be better if
  2. 00:23:045 (2) - Try ctrl+g?
  3. 00:36:879 (4) - ^
  4. 00:37:879 (6) - ^, if you done the last one.
See the invisible circle in the flow?
[Insane]

  1. 00:12:879 (4) - stack perfectly with 00:11:545 (1) -
  2. 01:06:879 (9) - CTRL+G would be better imo
  3. The flow can be improved, but already a good job as a first map :3 Good Luck!

  1. 00:01:046 (1) - try a whistle?
  2. 00:11:045 (6,1) - well, you need to make the spacing consistent in Easy diff.
- Yeah, another modder pointed out that distance snapping needed to be consistent for all combos in Easy/Normal difficulties. I was going to remap them later today, but I'll take into consideration your comments as well when redesigning them :)

Megurine Luka wrote:

[Normal]

- Remapping Normal so that spacing will be more consistent

  3. The flow can be improved, but already a good job as a first map :3 Good Luck!
- awawawa I didn't notice that the (4) was off centre :o fixed
- Took your suggestion at 01:06:879(9); ended up also reversing the slider at 01:07:379(10)
- aww shucks thanks for the compliment :P But like you said, there's always room for improvement that and I want to try and make this map as perfect as I possibly can

Notice: updated the hard and insane maps; easy and normal difficulties will probably be remapped and uploaded later tonight. Hitsounds also have yet to be changed because I'm too lazy to put the hitsounds into the song folder as of this posting

General

  1. Please remove the commas from tags, this will not allow people to look for more than just one tag.
  2. Because 'Rhodanthe*' seems to be used only for this anime, so it is not very famous, you should include names of singers in tags:
    西明日香 (romanised Nishi Asuka)
    田中真奈美 (romanised Tanaka Manami)
    種田梨沙 (romanised Taneda Risa)
    内山夕実 (romanised Uchiyama Yumi)
    東山奈央 (romanised Touyama Nao)
  3. You might want to use custom hitsound for the clap, because it currently feels a bit out of place when there is loud clap, while music contains a simple snare. I think this one fits really well.
  4. I think there should be a better mp3 available, try to look for it, because it sounds like some parts are a bit distorted and start is really low volume.
  5. Muting soft-sliderslide with this file would be quite good, because you are sometimes using 100% volume, which makes the sliderslide do a lot of noise, so muting it is probably the easiest way to fix this.

Easy

  1. You have to use hitsounds. In case of this map, it is enough to use grumd's hitsound copier and hitsound the notes which are missing, they were not many, so it is just few minutes of work.
  2. 00:05:879 (4) - Move this slider somewhere else, you might do something like screenshot below. The problem is the slider is hidden under previous slider which is not so cool on easy difficulty, because the player will barely react to this, especially when he has only something about 350ms to react
  3. 00:27:712 - You start to break new combo consistency and sensibility here and you make the combo lengths inconsistent. That will result in messed up HP gain, which is especially important on low diffs. Previously you used NC on each 3rd downbeat, but while it still fits music to be used like before, you just started to use them variably.

Normal

  1. Same issue with hitsounds as Easy
  2. Difficulty is very high considering it is only Normal. I recommend to decrease AR and OD by 1 and then increase the combo count. Currently the combos are long 7-10, which is really inappropriate for normal. Try to keep them under 6, I recommend each 3rd downbeat.
  3. 00:18:379 (3,4,5,8,9,10) - These two patterns are very annoying. Rhythmically it is fine, but it doesn't fit with the pattern. It is all overlapped and focused on one place so the approach circles will be mixed together and someone who is able to play only Normal will just simply miss there because he will get lost in this. I hope you might understand what I mean. I suggest to remake them so every part of it is perfectly visible in natural way without overlaps and other traps or you might use a bit different rhythm, but that's up to you.
  4. 00:27:045 (9,10,1) - This might be also problem for newbies, because he is most likely not gonna expect a circle between two sliders stacked together, so make it just simple and remove the circle and move the slider somewhere else, or make this with regular distance snap.
  5. 00:19:711 (6) - Slider ends on 00:20:377, but it must end on 00:20:379, because current position is out of timing point, this might have been caused by offset change.

Hard

  1. You should decrease the AR by 1, because you have Insane diff and it will fix the spread a bit. The problem here is Insane has 9 AR, while it is definitely wrong, when it is quite a chilling map, just doesn't fit the song nor map, then you should decrease AR of Insane to 8 so it is a bit more sensible and whole settings should be fine.
  2. 00:13:379 (5,6) - I don't know if you know it, but be aware that this kind of pattern is often considered as unrankable unless it plays extremelly well, what it doesn't there.
  3. To be honest, as a hard it is pretty fine, balanced and so on, but just go through the difficulty and fix the antijumps. You are sometimes using the same distances for 1/2 notes and 1/1, which makes player click earlier than they are supposed to.

Insane

  1. As I reasoned in Hard diff, reduce the AR to 8.
  2. 00:07:047 (3) - The slider is on 00:07:047 while it must be on 00:07:045, because it would not be snapped to the timing.
  3. 00:24:545 - The clap doesn't fit there very much because the snare is on 00:24:712 in real. If you used the custom hitsound provided in General, try to find all missing snares. That would increase the map's quality a lot. Those are for example 00:29:379 - 00:30:045 and more.
  4. 00:48:712 - Reduce the volume, it is currently ideal for ear-bleed. Whistle spam is not really cool on that high volume.

Conclusion: Needs some improvement

If I consider you are a newbie, the map is pretty okay. You should care more about perfection, spread and what was really missing there, hitsounds. It would not take a long to make this actually rankable so feel free to ask me anything, I'll be glad to help you if you need something. Also have my star and good luck~! :3

I don't know whether you took a look at a mod above, but just wanted to say current offset is fine if you didn't already change it :)

awawawa so many mods so little time ;w;

Thanks for the mods you guys! Really appreciate it :) Unfortunately I don't exactly have time right now to check out your suggestions (and to those in my M4M queue, don't worry I will mod your maps, but it'll probably be in the next day or so). I'll play around with your suggestions tonight and get reply back as soon as possible!

Hi! for M4M - Sorry for my poor English and modding skill
Insane
SPOILER
00:01:379 (2) - Can you move it to 428/284 , it's better blanket .
00:03:712 (1,2) - better pattern if you blanket them together
00:48:045 (2,3,4) - I think 00:48:045 (2) - move to 168/120
00:48:212 (3) - move to 256/196
00:48:379 (4) - move to 324/120
01:01:712 (8) - 348/272 for better blanket
01:13:045 (1,2,3,4) - I think 01:14:045 (3) - shouldn't stack with 01:13:045 (1) - It isn't a good pattern imo.

Hard
SPOILER
AR-1
00:11:545 (1,3,4) - improve blanket

Your DS is good for now but some slider like 00:18:379 (3,4) - 00:21:045 (8,9) , They aren't good pattern and hard to read by beginner
00:18:379 (3,4) - delete 00:18:879 (4) - and add reverse slider 00:18:379 (3) is better.
00:21:045 (7,8,9) - delete 00:21:545 (8) - add reverse slider 00:21:045 (7) and place 00:22:045 (8) stack this 00:20:712 (6)
00:48:045 (8,9,10) - change them to reverse slider , 3 stack notes aren't good imo.
.
.
add NC 00:03:712 - 00:08:879 - 00:14:212 - 00:19:711 - 00:22:379 - 00:25:045 - 00:33:045 - 00:41:045 - 00:46:379 - 00:51:712 - 00:57:045 - 01:02:379 - 01:07:712 - 01:12:379 - 01:18:212 - 01:23:545 - (some NC I'm not sure you can ignore if it doesn't fit for you.)
.
.
.
And Hitsound , same as other modders. Zzz

Easy
SPOILER
I think pattern from 00:06:712 to 00:16:712 isn't good imo , add some slider in this pattern could be better .
00:57:045 (3,4) - Ctrl+G them?
00:57:045 (3) - NC
01:00:379 (6) - NC
01:03:045 (8) - NC
01:10:379 (5) - NC

General

- awawawa thanks for the random mod ;w;
- fixed the tags
- I'm still playing around with custom hitsounds another modder provided me, but thanks for providing some custom hitsounds! I'll probably be taking switching between them and seeing which one suits the map more
- I changed the volume sliders based on some other modder's feedback, but thanks for the custom soft-sliderslide! I was actually looking for a mute one myself..

Easy

- did what you recommended at 00:05:879, but as a result of it the distance snap got all screwy and I ended up having to remap quite a bit of the easy difficulty. I think it's a lot better than what it was before though :)
- fixed all the NC issues

Wafu wrote:

Normal

- decreased AR and OD to 4 and 4 respectively
- fixed all combos so they're no longer ridiculously long
- fixed the patterns at 00:18:379(3,4,5,8,9,10) based on another modder's feedback
- spread out the notes at 00:27:045
- I didn't even notice the 0.002 second offset change at 00:19:711(6) :o fixed

Wafu wrote:

You are sometimes using the same distances for 1/2 notes and 1/1, which makes player click earlier than they are supposed to.
edit: worked on hard on April 26, 2015. here's what I did:
- lowered AR like you said and it feels better than before
- fixed the pattern at 00:13:379(5, 6)
- fixed a lot of the distance issues that you mentioned, and as a result a lot of the map ended up getting redesigned (I find remapping everything based on feedback is easier than just fixing single things what is wrong with me)

Wafu wrote:

Insane

Conclusion: Needs some improvement
edit 2: worked on insane on April 27, 2015. here's what I did:
- reduced AR to 8
- fixed the offset issue at at 00:07:045
- removed the whistle at 00:48:712
- I'll work on finding the snares after some more testing on my end

Wafu wrote:

If I consider you are a newbie, the map is pretty okay. You should care more about perfection, spread and what was really missing there, hitsounds. It would not take a long to make this actually rankable so feel free to ask me anything, I'll be glad to help you if you need something. Also have my star and good luck~! :3

I don't know whether you took a look at a mod above, but just wanted to say current offset is fine if you didn't already change it :)

And Hitsound , same as other modders. Zzz
- fixed the issues at 00:18:379 and 00:21:045
- I left the 3 stacked notes at 00:48:045 as it is because I don't think it makes that much of a difference. If another modder points this out as well, I'll consider changing it, but for now it'll stay as it is

  6. 00:47:045 (2,3,4,5) -I think antijumps might be too hard for hard diff
  7. 00:48:045 (1,2,3) - jumps here might be too big for hard , I'd try to keep ds lower than 2.1x when making jumps in hard
  8. 00:53:545 (4,5) - this is pretty hard to read for hard diff , consider stacking them or spacing them more
  9. 01:22:045 - missing clap

spacing can be improved here , try to make sure spacing is easy to read , antijumps or big jumps is rarely use in hard diff imo

  1. 00:04:045 (2) - ctrl+g this would make flow here 00:03:712 (1,2,3) - nice imo , it's ok to jumps here 00:04:045 (2,3) -
  2. 00:14:212 (1,2) - flow here is kinda awkward , the bent in flow here is somehow make flow here awkward would be better if you swap place of these 00:14:712 (2,3) - notes it would give nice transition flow from slider 00:14:212 (1) - to 00:14:712 (2) - also you might need to re-adjust next notes if you make change here
  3. 00:31:879 (6) - ctrl+g this and it would make flow here 00:31:545 (5,6,7) - nice imo , it's ok to jumps here 00:31:879 (6,7) -
  4. 00:43:045 (9) - nc for change in spacing here
  5. 00:54:379 (1) - ctrl+g this and it would make flow here 00:54:045 (9,1,2) - nice imo
  6. 01:02:712 (2,3) - swap place of these notes would make flow here 01:02:712 (2,3,4) - nice imo , it's ok to jumps here 01:02:879 (3,4) - since 01:03:045 (4) - sound pretty emphasized would the map looks intresting to play
  7. 01:16:879 (5) - ctrl+g this and it would make flow here 01:16:379 (4,5,6) - nice imo

I think flow in this diff can be improved a bit
- well I think this diff can be improved a lot LOL. After not having played it for a while, it just feels very off compared to the other difficulties. Will probably end up redesigning this difficulty

  4. 00:42:712 (5,6,7) - I guess this is really hard to read for hard diff , try this rhythm ?
  5. 00:45:045 (4,6) - these place so close , space them a bit so the pattern here looks cleaner
  6. 00:47:045 (2,3,4,5) -I think antijumps might be too hard for hard diff
  7. 00:48:045 (1,2,3) - jumps here might be too big for hard , I'd try to keep ds lower than 2.1x when making jumps in hard
  8. 00:53:545 (4,5) - this is pretty hard to read for hard diff , consider stacking them or spacing them more
  9. 01:22:045 - missing clap

spacing can be improved here , try to make sure spacing is easy to read , antijumps or big jumps is rarely use in hard diff imo
- will fix all hitsound issues at a later date because I'm lazy and would rather focus on getting a good flow first
- took your suggestion at 00:28:711
- revised the antijump at 00:31:879 by deleting a note (4)
- I think the rhythm at 00:42:712 is fine, but I can see what you mean by it being too difficult. will consider if somebody else points this out
- fixed the distance issue at 00:45:045
- the antijump at 00:47:045 seems fine to me
- I think you're right about the jump. Ended up making it smaller
- stacked the (4) and (5) at 00:53:545

You have a custom soft hitclap hitsound that you are not using

Insane

00:03:045 (9,10,11) - imo makes this consistant (either two sliders or 4 notes)
00:07:045 (3) - not snapped on white tick
00:10:629 (6) - there's no sound on this tripple but I guess a bit of overmap is ok
00:16:712 (4,5) - move these a bit down so that the 5 can overlap on the 00:15:545 (1) - ?
00:22:879 (3) - split into two circles?
00:31:879 (6) - ^
00:32:212 (7,8) - rather make 8 return slider that starts on 00:32:545 and 7 slider which ends at 00:32:379
00:43:045 (9) - 1/4 slider or a 1/2 slider that ends into 00:43:295 (10) -
00:43:379 add a note that stacks on 00:43:295 (10) -
00:44:045 (3,6) - I'm guessing these were suppose to overlap
00:46:879 (4,2) - these too
00:55:045 (3) - this might be better if split in circles
00:58:879 (10,11) - there's beats on blue ticks in this part that are ignored
00:58:545 (9) - maybe split this into two circles aswell
00:59:712 (1) - slider?
01:00:379 (3) - split
01:02:712 (2) - I have a feeling this note needs to be emphasised more.
01:07:712 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - note exactly sure why the 2nd part spacing is so small compared to the 1st part. I mean I hear the same beat?
01:14:379 (4) - if you mapped on vocal here then ok but beat is strong here too
01:15:379 (6) - it's empty beat, if you didn't want to leave this clear, just make the slider reverse arrow 01:14:712 (5) -
01:19:962 (6) - same as 00:10:629 (6) -
01:27:712 (1,2,3) - aren't there suppose to be 4 of these?

Good luck

I would recommend using a higher ar, maybe 8.3 as right now some of the patterns are too hard to read
00:40:712 (11) - It looks kinda ugly with this slider stacked under 00:40:212 (10) , maybe you could try moving it to x:387 y:175 for a blanket?
00:48:212 (10) - This note is partially off the screen, move it up
01:11:879 (7) - Copy 01:10:879 (3) and replace this slider with it
01:16:879 (4) - Off the screen

Hard

00:04:712 (4) - I think you should move it a bit to the left to prevent an overlap with 00:03:712 (1)
00:51:379 (8) - Imo this is a bit confusing for hard the way it is stacked under 00:50:712 (5), I would suggest moving it somewhere else

Normal

00:07:712 (3) - I think you should move this slider to 00:07:545 in time, it makes more sense for the song (don't forget to DS it and the notes after)
01:21:712 (2) - This might be a bit too hard to read for a normal diff as it is stacked under 01:19:712 (3), I think you should move it

Easy

00:16:045 (2) - This slider is a bit too high, move it down a bit

00:03:045 (3,4,5) - will it cause confusion?
00:51:045 (9,10,11,12) - ^, I will suggest swapping 10 with 11 QAQ
01:01:713 (8,9,10,11) - ^
00:59:712 (1,2) - I think they touches the HP bar (I am using official skin QAQ), maybe lowering them?
01:21:712 (3,4) - I think too many objects start here .__.

[Hard]
00:17:545 (2,3,4) - DS here does not look good ._.
00:30:379 (1,2) - missing a beat here, looks weird to me
00:50:712 (5,8) - will it be too hard to read for hard difficulty? Idk QAQ
01:23:545 (1,2,3,4) - this part do not quite work for me

[Normal]
00:55:045 (3,5) - If I'm correct such overlaps are not preferred in normal ;__;
01:14:045 (3,4) - ^

[Easy]
I don't know how to mod easy, sorry .__.

00:51:045 (9,10,11,12) - ^, I will suggest swapping 10 with 11 QAQ // Great idea here! Used it
01:01:713 (8,9,10,11) - ^ // Took your suggestion here as well
00:59:712 (1,2) - I think they touches the HP bar (I am using official skin QAQ), maybe lowering them? // Fixed
01:21:712 (3,4) - I think too many objects start here .__. // I don't think it's too much of a problem. If another modder points it out I'll consider fixing it

[Hard]
00:17:545 (2,3,4) - DS here does not look good ._. // It looks fine to me, but moved it slightly anyways. Hope it's better now
00:30:379 (1,2) - missing a beat here, looks weird to me // Fixed
00:50:712 (5,8) - will it be too hard to read for hard difficulty? Idk QAQ // I'll play around to see if I can come up with something better but for now I'll leave it as is
01:23:545 (1,2,3,4) - this part do not quite work for me // I think this is fine as it currently is since it follows the trumpets

00:03:212 (4,5) - why the anti-jump here, it's weird
00:21:879 (7,8) - I think you should unstack this as it halts movement
00:29:878 (8,9) - ^
00:38:379 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) and 00:41:045 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - are similar in music, yet the former one is much more spaced out, some common balance would be good
01:00:379 (3) - it feels different from 00:59:712 (1,2) - unstack 3 from those 2 for more emphasis of the new vocal line, which isn't a held vocal
01:26:879 (4) - add finish on slider start?

Hard

00:13:545 - something should start here instead of having a slider end here, with the trumpet holding on in the music
00:16:712 (8,1) - don't let them touch each other, your objects with the usual spacing do not do so, this is irregular and isn't nice, sticks out
00:28:879 (3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - why the sudden decrease in spacing?
00:31:212 - missing the strong beat in vocals
00:42:712 (5,6,7) - I rather you repeat the 3/4 rhythm rather than the 1/2 rhythm before that
01:00:379 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - why the sudden decrease in spacing

The random spacing doesn't make sense, it's not intuitive here. It makes it unpolished and more complicated

Normal

For Normal either stack 00:04:712 (3,4) - 1/2 rhythms or 00:08:712 (4,1) - 1/4 rhythms, don't further complicate things by having both sometimes use stacking

Easy

01:05:045 (1) - I won't recommend multiple repeat sliders in Easy
01:17:379 (3,1) - 01:20:045 (4,1) - keep things in Easy to at most 1/1 beat apart between objects. Only these 2 are like this, it comes at the end and is quite a surprise

Good Luck

Thanks for the mod, and sorry about the late kudos! Been a little busy with school lately; will take a look at your mod when I have the chance

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply (you made your request in June)

Note that whatever I say is my own opinion so you do not have to follow whatever I say. Changes are separated into boxes.

General
1) Audio lead in should be between 1500-2000ms.

2) 01:27:879 The spinner should have a finish sound. Try this hitsound: http://puu.sh/jEbmv/5c158ec070.wav

3) Is there a way for you to compress the vid size without losing quality to reduce download size?

Easy
1) 00:10:045 Straighten the slider:
2) 00:11:379 Shift the note up. New coordinates: x: 94, y: 175.

3) 00:53:712 Do not scrunch up the slider as it does not look good. Try this:
Everything else is fine.

Normal
1) 00:17:045 Make the arrow shape more symmetrical.

2) 00:30:379 Why go with the angled curve at the end? It looks a little weird. I think a curve will do but this is a minor thing.

Hard
1) 00:02:212 Adjust the slider like so; I think it looks better imo
SPOILER
[img]osu.ppy.sh/ss/3546162[/img]

Insane
1) 01:18:712 and 01:19:045 It makes more sense to straighten the sliders:

Final thoughts: There is not much for me to mod since a lot of things are A-Ok in my opinion. Of course when playing insane it took me a few tries to get it but it works. There are a few minor things that if fixed can make a huge impact (that is what I think).

Good luck and again I apologize for the very late reply. :)

Thanks for the mod! I've been pretty busy with school for the past few months, so I haven't even managed to finish my queue either, heheh. though I recently finished my summer term so I'm hoping to fix that asap

As for the song, I'm taking a short break on it, but I'll get right back on it soon ;)
