What rank is for what star difficulty?

So I just passed a 6.01 star map - Panda Eyes & Terminite - Highscore [Extra] and I'm 88k and I think that's really good LOL so I was wondering if it was good for my rank because I've seen people pass 5 star at 190k. IDK! You leave your ideas in the discussion ;)

I think 2 star and below is like 1mil, 3 is like 700k, 4 is 200k, 5 is 100k, 6 is 50k, 7 is like 10k 8 is uhm, I guess 2k? :c

You know, I agree but still usually there is like a stereotypical idea for what rank can pass what map :P

Also on topic I would like to add, passing maps with very low hp drain doesn't mean you can pass all other maps of that star range. Personally I do agree that rank =/= skill, but as a rule of the thumb, I would say the recommended difficulty in the beat map page is pretty accurate.

Rank is based on your pp so i think that it doesn't matter.

Since pp is just how well you play a map, it doesn't really say
what rank is for what star difficulty.

stars are irrelevant, its all about bpm
you should be passing 300 bpm before the 4 digit bracket or you're going to suck forever

You can get Rank with Skill , not Skill with Rank

Rank = skill

Anyone saying otherwise is a low ranked piece of shit that has given up on the system because they weren't good enough to progress farther. 8-)

i gave up on the ranking system because the kinds of maps you have to play to be efficient and competitive are garbage and unfun.
sure i could randomly be getting pp if i was better but it would have to be on things that are at least 50% or more underrated than they should be, at the point where i get a new top rank on something i actually like i could start farming 250+ overrated top kek triangle pp maps

it's a question of whether or not you care enough about your rank to play shit that isn't fun or not. neither is right or wrong, that's just how it is

I stopped playing competetively months ago, but I have greatly improved. I can play quite some 6* properly now, and enjoy them, whereas I needed to use NF/HT in the past

Rank is not a good way to define a player skill.
Like 4years ago 3000pp players were 50k rank and now they are 150k

A 200k player can be a jump one trick
At the same time there can be one 200k who is good at tech maps and decent on other skills

Rank doesn't define what star range you should play
