I've just watched BTMC's video and all I hear is him complaining about the offset being a huge issue, but in my case whenever I play stable or lazer, I don't really feel a huge audio offset difference... Is he just coping or am I just deaf???

yeah
If there's an offset issue at this point I've become used to it. I've always played with the default settings because I don't trust my sense of rhythm.
It feels better for me imo
I don't know exactly what you mean by this but I do think lazer feels horrible and I have some offset issues.
lazer's offset doesn't feel higher per say but it feels like it's more inconsistent and i need to adjust it constantly throughout the session, even on the same map
Lazer > Stable
