Dear denizens, dwellers, newfriends, oldfriends, midfriends, and stalkers of OT!
Recently there have been a lot of things going on right now, especially with the whole denizen drama involving the potato man and people wanting to overthrow him. While all of this stuff is certainly engaging, it is definitely not enjoyable whatsoever. But recently I found a post on this thread that gave me a revelation:

People on OT don't like fun.
Gotta make a 2 page essay on denizens ngl
At first it might seem like a random OT meme poking fun at the current state of things, but this gave me a realization.
While we as denizens want more lore being added to OT, we don't want it involving politics FOR NOW as the current political landscape of OT is a dumpster fire.
Now if you can excuse me I need to check up on my old friend bread boi.

But we had lore with politics at some point. And people were having a blast during that era.

While I do agree that politics in lore can be engaging and enjoyable, the main issue I have with the current state of OT politics is that it's just a shitshow that only has the end goal of gaining as much attention as possible through making everybody hate each other. And they are not like those small little rivalries that occasionally happen. I just want lore that is engaging without having to use hatred in order to fuel it.

Another concern I have with this is that I am worried that the current political state of OT might also affect everybody else. I don't want to be in a situation where I say something random and suddenly have everybody from one side come for me because I slightly agreed with one thing one person from the other side said.

Tl;Dr: The reason why I hate the CURRENT political landscape of OT is because it is more about trying to boost engagement with violence rather than actual substance. And I fear that this attitude might rub on everybody else, and cause everyone to become extremely violent to each other.

Yeah I honestly have to agree with this statement.

I feel like that's also a real problem that I have with the recent generations.

That everything can get very easily offended or that there is just way too much about analyzing stuff.

We have all kind of become desperate to get as much attention as possible.

Huh?

I wonder where that drastic shift came from... =P

I still think that it would kinda go on the way it is for like a while, until most of it is sorted out...

Though I honestly don't care much about politics.

I like doing funny stuff instead.

I think it needs a typing tournament, to determine who is the second best typist in all of OT!
