I love Alolan Vulpixes, really I do, I think everyone here knows that, or even Vulpix in general! Don't get me wrong, I too wish they were real, but I am under the acceptance that I won't get my thing in life (unless via plushies and merch and what-not) because the real thing probably would be something that I have to deal with in my life constantly. Your love over an anime character is obesely unhealthy that it's reaching critical points of "point of no return". Kobold84 a few posts above generally states the best points of how waifuism works, and how we as humans strived for needing communities.
For me, Alolan Vulpixes are what keeps me going, not what I love dearly enough to wish they were real. Everytime someone sends me a picture of an Alolan Vulpix, I look at them in awe and wish I could pet them only, ruffle their soft fuzzy headfloof in a friendly manner. They are not a part of our real life culture, unless portrayed through videogames, art, and/or merchandise via plushies and clothing.
Pixels on a monitor screen captured in 60 hertz, is not real to me. They are a method to escape reality, that's why we play videogames in the first place, we want to escape life we are currently in, to act out in an online manner. Could you imagine literally anything in a videogame would be real? I'm pretty sure we wouldn't even be at our desks typing posts to each other in an off-topic sub-forum section on a rhythm game.
The point I'm trying to make is, nothing online or portrayed with pixels on our screens are real. You may think it is real, and while many would appreciate the enthusiasm for your interest in a character (like with me and Alolan Vulpixes), there is a point where you cannot return to the real life we all reside in. I don't strive myself to be a better person just because of a character from Pokemon, I strive myself to be a better person because of my own future ahead of me in life. Can a character you love dearly help you out of a situation where you might be held at gunpoint? I know it's an extreme example, and one even mods will question me for, but I'm just giving you an example of things that can, and have happened before. Your character isn't going to run around the corner saving you from danger, they are not real, and they will only be figments of something you cherish.
