(finished) OT - Pokemon fire red

All important information in one post, it will be boring but read everything.

about the downloads:
Pokemon - Fire Red Version (V1.1) USA - English (if you use any other version, it will go wrong)emulator: mGBA (the same used in speedruns)When someone finishes his part, he will make the .sav available on google drive for download, and share the link. (that's easy, if you can't let me know)-------------------------------------------

gym 1 - keremaru (You can choose any name you want and any initial you want (Squirtle is recommended))
gym 2 - Behrauder (Talk to Bill first, then defeat you gym)
gym 3 - Manishh (Get the bike)
gym 4 - Patatitta (Get the fly)
gym 5 - - cirno - / octowave (Get the surf)
gym 6 - octowave
gym 7 - Manishh (When you finish your gym, Bill will ask if you want to go to the islands, refuse, because yoony1 will go later)
gym 8 and Islands - Julian_Kaiser
Rival fight and last cave - yoony1
elite four - aiq
Mewtwo and Entei - Behrauder (You are the last one, but you have to send your.sav file too)

To save the game, save in the game, not in the emulator, the.sav file will be replaced automatically. (you all have to save the game inside the pokemon center located in the same city as the gym you just defeated (for yoony1, at the pokemon center of the pokemon league.)).

You don't have to rush to finish your part, (you can take time to train your pokemons if you want (before defeating the gym. Once the gym has been defeated, you have to save inside the pokemon center and send your .sav file)).

Any of you can buy whatever you want in the store. You can trade pokemons with npcs, teach the TM/HM you want to the pokemon you want, etc. the only rule is that no one is allowed to delete pokemons (I don't even know why this option exists).

If anyone has any questions, let me know (if it's something specific to the part you're playing, message me, otherwise it's better to ask in the thread).

The file that will be downloaded will be the .sav of pokemon fire red, both emulator and game and .sav are safe.
the.sav file will be available for download on google drive.

Ok, i removed the pokemon fire red link, but the emulator link I don't need to remove, right? Or is using emulator illegal?

Probably each person will beat a gym, but How many people will play in the elite four? This is the hardest part to decide... I also haven't decided on the 3 islands that come after the 7th gym, so I would like opinions on these two things. :)

Ok, I think each person will have to do more than beat a gym, and maybe we can't go to the 3 islands, I would like suggestions on how to organize this in the best possible way, I'm still not able to organize everything.

As soon as someone suggest a good way to complete the game with 9 people i will confirm the game will happen. :)

In about 24 hours I intend to send here some suggestions on how we are going to divide things up and you are going to vote, mainly: if each one will win 1 gym or 2, if we are going to the islands or not, how many people will participate in the pokémon league. Dividing things equally between 10 people is pretty hard.

Here are the options for you to vote on which one you think is the best.

Option 1:
- Each person defeats 2 gym leaders;
- There are 6 people left, one person defeats the rival for the penultimate time and crosses the last cave;
- There are 5 people left, each one plays to defeat one person from the elite four/rival.

Option 2:
- Each person defeats 1 gym leader;
- There are 2 people left, one person defeats the rival for the penultimate time and crosses the last cave;
- One person left, who will defeat the elite four and rival.

Option 3:
- Each person defeats 2 gym leaders;
- There are 6 people left, one person goes to the islands;
- There are 5 people left, one person defeats the rival for the penultimate time and crosses the last cave;
- There are 4 people left, each one defeats one person from the elite four, the person who defeats the last person from the elite four, will defeat the rival.

Option 4:
- Each person defeats 1 gym leader;
- There are 2 people left, one person goes to the islands, defeats the rival for the penultimate time, and crosses the last cave;
- One person left, who will defeat the elite four and rival.

Option 5:
- Write your own idea, I don't think any of mine turned out well.

I like option 2 and 4. What's the difference between them though? (It's been a while since I played a gen 1 remake, and I don't think I ever finished it, so I don't remember what happens well)

My alternative is a bit of a twist on Option 3.
Each person defeats 2 gym leaders;
One person goes to the islands;
One person defeats the rival for the penultimate and crosses the cave;
One person fights the Elite Four and the rival champion. Afterwards, they start the hunt for the legendary birds;
Two people go after the other two birds that the champion didn't catch;
One person goes after Mewtwo.
If you hadn't figured it out, I really wanna catch the legendaries.

option 2, makes the playtime between each player more balanced, if I just got to play 1 boss of the elite four only IO would be pretty dissapointed tbh

The difference is that in option 4 we go to the 3 optional islands (Moltres location).

Quick question, since it just slipped my mind.
If we (most likely) go where everyone beats the gym leader, does that mean they'll continue to progress until the next gym? Or will the next person pick up after they beat the gym, and go until they defeat their gym?

My english is not good so I didn't understand your question. After defeating your gym leader, you are still free to train your pokemons, catch pokemons, etc. As long as you don't battle anyone or do anything that comes after the gym you've defeated. To save the game, the person must heal his pokemons and save the game inside the pokemon center of the same city of the gym that he defeated. Before we start playing, each one would already have chosen which part of the game they want to do.

So by the looks of it will be option 4 or keremaru's option, but the voting is not over yet. As there are participants who haven't posted here in a while, soon (in about 7 hours) I'll send a message to all the participants, this is going a little slow... after the voting is over, each one will choose what they want to do.

There are 5 options, you have to vote for one or create your option, after that we will decide who will do what, and we will start playing, after finishing your part, you send your save file here by google drive.

I prefer option 4 too, but in Keremaru's option we can capture all legendary pokemons.

Edit: Out of 10 people, 5 voted for 4, there is no way any other option can win so it will be option 4.
