hey so we just voted the son of a dictator as president and a ton of corrupt politicians so I was wondering what countries I should escape to.
Not registered so didn't vote, but can confirm that their way of campaigning is really bad. Negative campaigning results to negative result. I saw a lot of videos showing their supporters degrading people who doesn't have the same views as themFhaye wrote:

I'm pretty sure there were toxic people on both Leni and BBM's side (the other candidates are really silent) but yeah I agree, the way they campaigned where they treat her as some saviour instead of some normal presidential candidate probably turned off a lot of people.Scyla wrote:

If they did it in a better way, Robredo could have won

On the other hand, Bhutan seems to be doing well. Their citizens don't want to remove their king and they live under low poverty as rates decrease. Bhutan has 0 homeless people. Their monarchy is no problem and neither does it need to be removed.Manishh wrote:

Of course while suddenly proposing a monarchy in any of the democracies at such a time wouldn't be an optimal route either.
i wish determining how good a government is is as easy as looking at the country's poverty (or lack there of). i wish.Julian_Kaiser wrote:

I believe that bbm's misinformation campaign also heavily influenced the people's votes for their preferred president, causing them to lean towards voting bbm and not leni. But even so, I am still disappointed that people chose the worst candidate for president, as even a quick browse through google on the marcos family would immediately prove that They're not fit to lead the country.Yhuan Debeste wrote:

Still, it can be used as an indicator of how well a government treats it's economy.ClevelandsMyBro wrote:

On the other hand you can pretend to have a monarchy in a democracy by voting the same guy and his descendantsJulian_Kaiser wrote:
